A general question

So I pressed eject to take out a disc, but it wouldn't work! What's more, is that it was unable to read the disc inside!

I called up Nintendo and explained the problem, and the Wii usually makes loud click sounds and has trouble reading discs before, and they said they will send a package to me on Monday, and I'll be able to send it in and get it
fixed.

I am satisfied, but I'm just wondering, has anyone had any past experiences with Wiis, where they had to send it in? How long did it take for it to get back?

I heard this was a common problem for launch Wiis, actually.

I dislike the timing...there was going to be a Super Smash Brothers Brawl tournament at the up coming Nintendo Connection Tour. I was going to enter, but without the Wii, I wont be able to practise and get anywhere.

It was my goal to get to round two, but, any chance I had of accomplishing that goal is gone. I guess I'll still go anyway though. The tournament isn't the only thing that will happen, they have other stuff going on.

I went last time, and it was for the release of Pokemon...they held a Pokemon tournament. I remember it was fun, because they had heaps of prizes and lots of activities and entertainment. They even had a giant Pikachu come along (guy dressed up as Pikachu).

Seriously, if you find out there is a Nintendo Connection Tour, I would recommend you go if you are a Nintendo fan. (Well you kind of have to be if you are in the Wii forum lol).

My Wii always manages to read discs, but it always makes that really annoying clicking noise.
Especially in Brawl.

My Wii doesn't have long pauses or errors, it just makes annoying noises a lot in certain parts of games.

Maybe the sounds are natural...maybe they aren't. After I get my Wii back, repaired, I will report the changes.

I have had errors in the past before though, when 'There was a trouble reading the disk' and also when I'm playing Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn, sometimes in-between battles, there are long pauses. Like the music is still playing, but the transition takes a little too long...
