I see what ur saying with those games but these others r just wasting their money and filling our shelves. Also they r spending so much money on things that few people will buy. Like Wii Fit. How many people r honestly going to buy it? If Nintendo keeps making games like these, their fan base will shrink and dry up completely. And most adolescents don't like Nintendo because they think Nintendo is 2 childish and can get their favorite games genred and more with an Xbox 360 or PS3.
Wii Fit is selling out, everywhere, along with Wiis. Mario Galaxy, Brawl, and Mario Kart are selling millions upon millions of copies. Nintendo's fanbase isn't drying up, it is expanding into new and different markets, drawing in people who normally don't play games.
Also, Nintendo is the company who is still aiming at the younger market at all! Guess what, there will always be children, and video games will always be seen as a children's toy. You were a kid once too, and I doubt you were playing Halo and Grand Thief Auto. One thing about video games is that its market is always aging out and refreshing itself. More people may be playing into adulthood, but the majority of people play games as kids, then drop them as adults. If Nintendo shared the same views as Microsoft or Sony this generation, we have plenty of rehashed "hardcore" games, but the market would lose this new source of life as the "hardcore" gamers age out and find other money-wasters.

Did I say that they make those games? I said they're excelling because the third party companies go 2 them and not Nintendo because of the Wii's unique controls. That can hurt Nintendo a good deal. And Super Paper Mario disappointed me several of my friends because it wasn't like the old one. Ranger and Mystery Dungeon waste money and resources that could be put 2 good use. MATURE GAMES BRING MATURE CONSUMERS WHICH MEANS MORE MONEY. THE WORLD'S CULTURE IS GETTING MORE MATURE AND SOON "kiddy" GAMES WILL LOSE THEIR APPEAL!
Your generation is maturing, but the one to follow you is still eager to play "kiddy games." Hence the success of titles like Mario and Sonic at the Olympics. I would also like to see your Masters Degree in business, since you seem to know more about money than Nintendo, who, by the way, is one of the most valuable and profitable companies in all of Japan, even higher than Sony.

I can see what you're getting at. Recent Wii games haven't been quite as good as previous GC and N64 games in their respective series, at least in my opinion. It's as though Nintendo thinks that producing the same games all over again with motion-sensing gameplay is enough of an "upgrade" for fans.
The main thing I'm worried about is what happens when Nintendo run out of series to make new games for - They've already done a Mario game, a Metroid game, a Zelda game, and a Super Smash game ... Kid Icarus and Pikmin appear to be on the way too ... then what? Are they going to dig up some more older series we haven't seen for a while? Another Yoshi Story? Or Donkey Kong game? Gawd, give us something original for once!
Creating a bunch of mediocre party games involving Mario characters doesn't help either. I mean, Mario and Sonic at the Olympics? Who's genius idea was that? Sadly enough, games like that sell well though, because Nintendo whores out the marketing like there's no tomorrow. Then we've got Nintendo publishing third-party games like Fatal Frame IV (haha, people are probably sick of me talking about this game) which is only a month from release and has had no advertising AT ALL. Do you WANT to piss off third-party devs, Nintendo? Because that's a good way of doing it.
If Nintendo keeps this up, they will be their own downfall. While Microsoft and Sony embrace the diversity of their third-party games and devs, Nintendo seems to shun their third-party devs. People want variety, and fans are starting to realize that Nintendo ain't gonna deliver it.

Mario Galaxy felt like a classic Mario in 3D rather than Super Mario 64 which felt like a new series
That was my biggest problem with Galaxy. I didn't shell out $60 for a game that played like a 2D Mario. I wanted an upgraded version of a 3D Mario. I wanted something better than SM64 and SMS ... and I didn't get it.
Everyone was geeking out when we found that Nintendo was releasing Zelda, Metroid, Mario and Smash within the first year of the system's life cycle. Now we are all gloom and doom about Nintendo's lineup? Come on folks, Nintendo has plenty of Franchises to pump out sequels for, and some new IPs for sure. GC barely lasted four years, but Nintendo still came out with like four new franchises for the machine. I'm sure we will see something interesting at E3 this year, since we have no idea what Nintendo is working on for beyond the summer. I think many of us are mistaking Nintendo's typical paranoia about information with a fear that Nintendo will stop making games.
Also, third party support is beginning to pick up, and will only continue to pick up steam. More and more franchises are moving over to Wii, like Fatal Frame, Tenchu, Monster Hunter, and several third parties have already shown off some good looking support, like SEGA and Platinum game's MadWorld, Spyborgs, The Conduit, Final Fantasy Fables, FFCCtCB and more. Go find a post by Akira, and look at the article linked in his signature. It explains a whole lot of what's going on, and really explains Nintendo's strategy well.
And as a fan of 2D Marios, Mario Galaxy was far and away better than any other 3D Mario game. However, that's a matter of personal preference, and really doesn't mater at this point.

Now that u mention it, they're kinda doin that with the virtual console games. But the virtual console games r really cheap (and can't be resold unfortunatly) and all 2 often turn out 2 last for 1 day of playing and it's done.
So, you can condense two decades worth of incredible gaming into a day? Sounds to me that you just picked poor games. The VC lineup of games is far and away superior than anything this or last generation. Its amazing how shiny 3D graphics can cover up the repetitive gameplay of this generation so well.

Yeah but I think it's better than having 2 change the camera angle everytime u move 4 steps and having to constantly shake the remote just 2 hurt enemies. And don't u think shooting those "star bits" or whatever is kinda the same thing?
Now that I think about it, every Super Mario game has sorta been like that! They all have last minute story lines and have really frickin bad replayability.
The camera was much worse in Sunshine. You had to be constantly moving it to keep it in the right place in that game. Sounds to me you just sucked at the game, and couldn't get used to the camera following you automatically. Shaking the Wiimote is no different than mashing the punch button over and over again, get over it. The star bits were far easier to use than the water pack, allowed you free range of motion while you used them, and were completely optional to use. The water pack was necessary to play the game, unwieldy to aim or shoot, constantly need to be refilled, and talked to you about as often as Navi.
Mario isn't about story, its about gameplay. Pure, simple gameplay, as it always has been. And Galaxy, while doing little new, perfected the gameplay Mario in known for while propelling you over levels that had never before been imagined.
