Although I'll admit 360's is not free) and the monitor (which, you can't include the price of the T.V with a console because most people already have a T.V before you buy a console, you don't buy one with it unless your hooking up a new Plasma or something). And then theres system specs. Make sure you have the right specs, the best of the best, or you won't have good performance with games and in some cases you won't be able to run them at all (Halo 2 requiring Vista only was dissapointing). Then theres PC only errors you can come across such as firewalls that may interfere or other programs. You could also come across freezing, error reports that you have to consult customer services to fix, and bugs that you have to patiently await a patch for. Annoying. Also, consoles don't freeze half as much as PC's do, unless you keep it in a closed in space with no air so it overheats. Enough about that, PC gaming is great, but it doesn't rule the gaming world. Consoles are MADE for gaming. Thats basically all they do (music and file management aside). Oh, and IMO, the Wii kills the PC. Same applies for the PS3 and 360, and I don't even play them often. I just think PC gaming is a hassle and much more annoying than console gaming. Seriously,try and play a game,lets say Call of Duty 4 on the PC.Then try playing it on the Xbox360 or the PS3.Notice anything? Some games, like FPSes are MEANT to be played on the PC and are just not comparable to controllers. Also it is totally fair to say a PC can handle documents,files,programs etc. Because that is one of its aspects that make it more expensive than the consoles. Furthermore multilayer games are better played on the PC for many reasons, one of them being server capacity,I know for a fact that the pc version of a game allows a greater number of players in a server than that of the console versions. In my opinion PCs are and will be the best option for gaming. -------------------

	Yeah, but I don't wanna pay 2000 for new graphics cards and shit, when I can just go and get a 360 or ps3 for 400 and it's ready to play. ------------------- really cool free game

	Well lets take a different approach to this. If the PC is an unfair comparison due to its internet capabilities and its ability to house other file types that allow for multiple non-gaming programs to be used... then lets compare the systems stripped down. If we take away the Wii's virtual console, web browser, all channels that need to be downloaded via the internet, the picture channel, upload of other people's Miis, etc. etc. We are left with an on par Nintendo system with last gen graphics and a gimmicky controller. If we take away 360's internet capabilities... no more Live, No achievements, no multiplayer, no need for voice chat, etc. etc. We're left with a Microsoft OS that was created in 2004 running an older version of DirectX. If we take away PS3's Home, all internet and multiplayer, Blueray DVD player, etc. etc. We're left with a system which can run more floating point operations than a 360 but whose graphics are hit or miss by comparison to 360. If we do the same to the PC you have an updated DirectX 9.0c (10 if you have Vista), faster processor speeds, more physical memory, and higher ram to name a few things. Making it at a low end comparable but still better than the 360 or at the higher end far better than any console on the market. I love my consoles for the ease of use but PCs are better at game graphics and power than the consoles. 	It's fine to like PC gaming better than console gaming, but saying it's better? Theres no such thing as a "best" gaming machine, whether it's between console and PC or 360/PS3/Wii. Every gaming system has it's ups and downs. Some people actually prefer a controller for FPS'. I personally don't (I hardly play FPS' anyway but if I did it would be on a PC; no questions asked unless the PC has very old specs) prefer analog sticks but a large portion of gamers do. So enough said about which is best, because theres really no such thing, it's all a matter of preference. Like I said before, those were reasons I PREFER consoles over PC gaming, not why I think consoles are better. It's time people simply said what they prefer and why, not "because this suits my playing style, it's clearly the best choice for every gamer out there." ------------------- FTW?

Man, I don't want to shop in your town for PC parts. You're paying for an expensive graphics card as it stands. 	I actually don't even like the PS3. I only used it as an example because it is the most expensive console. IMO, heres the line-up: Wii PC 360 PS3 MAC (ya go ahead and try to game with this) Linux (any linux compatible games to date anyway?) ------------------- FTW?

	The PS3 and 360 are computers... CD/DVD tray, internet, hard drive, graphics cards, processors.... Actually, the 360 is a PC with 4 year old internal systems re-marketed as a game console. The PS3 is no different except they at least have an incredible processor packed into the system but severely lacks in the graphics department in compariosn to its processing capabilities. You can buy a PC the same price as a 360 that can do basically the same thing and feature all the extras that come with a PC. Of course, i'm not saying everyone should buy PCs and screw the consoles. Hell, i've owned PCs my entire life but have still owned video game consoles... other than playing on PC i have a Wii and a PS2 that i still play.
