Even with Internet, I wouldn't buy a PC instead of a next gen console. PC's are too much more expensive, ya know. A PC with as good specs as a Ps3 would cost 2000+ (including monitor and everything needed to play, but not including game). A PS3 costs roughly 400$ for the new ones I think. IMO, theres too much to worry about in PC gaming. Your specs have to always be up to date, you need to be able to run every game you buy, certian games wont run because they don't support your comp, certian programs may take up too much space, theres freezing and game problems, and you could come across many PC only errors.

A Pc without internet = epic phain because of no MMORPG; basically the only exclusive games PC gaming has.

I don't really like the games on the PS3 at all so I wouldn't buy that.

I'd stick with the Wii.

Actually you could probably build a PC that's equivalent to a PS3 for around $1,000. Considering that PC games are generally $50 vs. the $60 cost of PS3 games it won't take too long to even out the prices.

Well, the games are sweet and can keep u playing for hours. Think of Super Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart WII, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Zelda: Twilight Princess etc.

Then you can browse on the internet on it. And you can download classics, like Super Mario Bros., Zelda: OoT OR Super Mario 64, meaning you will never get bored.

And it's also the cheapest

Lol, what about the PS3, Call of Duty, GTA IV, Mass Effect, Bioshock, Assasians Creed. Those games are much better than just racing around a track and throwing things at people.

Mass Effect for PC comes out May 27th and Bioshock for PC came out last year. Both with upgraded graphics.

While consoles are fun and I do love them, PCs tend to have better capabilities because unlike the consoles you are not stuck with what you bought and can update your PC as needed to allow for newer, better looking games. Hell, the 360 runs off of an edited version of DirectX 9.0c from 2004. Meaning your average PC already has better or similar video capabilities than a 360. Vista has DX10 and is worlds better by comparison (of course Vista has different problems). Yes, PCs are more expensive but considering that you'll buy a PC to write up your homework on, check you e-mail with, and troll the internet then why not spend a little extra to give yourself or more game-worthy computer system.

Of course, the consoles get the better hype and the Console wars are much more exciting than the whole PC vs Mac thing. But consider that Microsoft is work on the Games for Windows initiative which allows cross-platform gaming between the Windows OS and the Xbox 360 including playing 360 games on the PC and PC game connectivity to Xbox live servers in some cases. PCs aren't dying yet... they're just changing.

Why do some people insist that PC is the greatist gaming machine to date? Honestly, it's a great and all, but to insist that it completely rapes every console to date is a huge overstatement. Sure, a PC is much more versatile, being able to handle files and documents, but it's not fair to bring that into the fight when it's a gaming competition. Keep in mind while PC's are great and all (with their unique control style), PC gaming comes with many flaws. For one thing, PC's are much more expensive. $1000 is quite a lot more than $350-400 (the price of a 360/PS3 with equal specs). And thats not including keyboard and mouse required for gaming (consoles come with controler) or wireless network adapter (again, PS3/Wii come with this. Although I'll admit 360's is not free) and the monitor (which, you can't include the price of the T.V with a console because most people already have a T.V before you buy a console, you don't buy one with it unless your hooking up a new Plasma or something). And then theres system specs. Make sure you have the right specs, the best of the best, or you won't have good performance with games and in some cases you won't be able to run them at all (Halo 2 requiring Vista only was dissapointing). Then theres PC only errors you can come across such as firewalls that may interfere or other programs. You could also come across freezing, error reports that you have to consult customer services to fix, and bugs that you have to patiently await a patch for. Annoying. Also, consoles don't freeze half as much as PC's do, unless you keep it in a closed in space with no air so it overheats.


Enough about that, PC gaming is great, but it doesn't rule the gaming world. Consoles are MADE for gaming. Thats basically all they do (music and file management aside).

Oh, and IMO, the Wii kills the PC. Same applies for the PS3 and 360, and I don't even play them often. I just think PC gaming is a hassle and much more annoying than console gaming.
