The Conduit

Its called The Conduit. Here is the link below and a few screen shots of the game and what the developer has to say about the it and what it can do (graphics and controller options). Its in its early stages but lets keep our fingers crossed on this one!!!!

Everyone should watch the tech demo video on this page. (for some reason it won't let me embed)

Finally a 3rd party focuses on graphics AND gameplay rather then just gameplay. All this game needs now is online play and its a sure hit.

Hopefully it has Wifi indeed.

Holy crap. This looks great. The fact that it's a Wii exclusive is even better. Can't wait to get it. Hopefully it'll have Wi-Fi, and some good things to go with it. Maybe leaderboards, different online modes, etc. That'd be awesome, but kind of doubt it.

Looks great. finally a normal first person shooter set in present time. tbh I'm not really into sci-fi or war themed games. hopefully it has multiplayer and wifi enabled.

I really wish I liked FPS games because I really want to support this title, if the claims made pan out.

Disk space isn't really an issue as far as visuals go. There are many 360 and PC games that look stunning, and they both use the same medium. Considering the lower sound quality and less visual detail in Wii games, disk space shouldn't be an issue. The main obstruction is the fact that the Wii doesn't have nearly as much power as either of the other two consoles.

As for MGS4, well, Kojima's unrealistic ambitions play a large role there, considering he's still (somehow) disappointed with the game . I guess that's what makes his games so great.

Anyway, the tech demo looks surprisingly good. I'm impressed. The screenshots, I'm guessing, are from an early build. It would explain why it's inconsistent. Some screenshots look really nice and others clearly need work, which is understandable for a game so early in development. I'm looking forward to seeing how the game turns out, anyway. High Voltage has definitely caught my eye, and the Wii's library is extremely lacking in the FPS genre. I expected more FPS games, considering how perfectly suited the Wii controllers are for the genre.

You realize that while it is set in the present day it is also set during an alien invasion and will definitely be a sci-fi themed game and from the pics there will at least be a couple guns that are sci-fi oriented. I'm thinking a Wii re-visioning of a modern day Resistance: Fall of Man. I also agree that it needs multiplayer and wi-fi if it wants to revitalize the genre for the wii.
