	Log in to remove this advertisement quote slumpy monkey its just that wii doesnt really appeal to a harcore gamer. I own a wii and a 360 and i hardley play my wii at all. Literally the last time I played was at christmass when I got galaxy which I didnt really enjoy and Resident evil which is quite fun. But the thing is I cant sit down and play my wii for hours on end but wheras with my 360 I can play for practicly days on end. I also just find my 360 more fun than my wii. I dont think thats it. Its all preference. Generally, the 360 appeals to FPS fans and online fans, which happens to make up most of the hardcore gamer population. But plenty of hardcore gamers prefer platformers or actually new controls. I have a friend who has all 3 consoles. He loves the wii and 360 and hes a really hardcore gamer (he treats games like his life). Yet still, he prefers platforming and the wii in general over the 360. another friend is constantly saying the wii rules all but the 360 and ps3 sucks. I personally think thats retarted, seeing that no console is better than another, but still its yet another hardcore gamer prefering the wii. Its not that the wii apeals to ONLY casual/non-gamers. It just appeals to both casual and hardcore gamers. But Ill admit, the 360 does come closer to hardcore than the wii. Anyway, I still think you dont play ur wii cause its not ur style, not cause it sucks. Me and my friends havnt touched our 360s in about 3 weeks now. We play melee, galaxy, twilight princess, and corruption more than any other console and yes, we are all sophmores/juniors in highschool. ------------------- FTW?

	The Wii is definitely not a "hardcore" gaming console. It's aimed towards a general audience (i.e. the "casual" gamers, or the general public). Whereas the PS3 and 360 are aimed at more specific audiences (i.e. the "hardcore gamers"). ------------------- \| GACKT \|

	Yes I belive nintedno even stated that there not really competing with sony or microsoft. If anything to go by I think xbox and wii owners are like brother's in a way. From my personla experiances there are more people who own a wii+360 than a wii+ps3 ------------------- Steam Forum\|Portfolio

	thats because the 360 and the ps3 are so alike, its stupid owning both. but the wii and 360 are so different that if you want to experience the full gaming world, you buy both. Or atleast one of the two, and thats where preference comes in. ------------------- FTW?

	I understand that some people want to get the "full gaming expirence" but I just play games for fun, not to release (or in some cases create) anger by killing everything the most voilent way possible. At my school, 360 owners are always agressive, my friend's mum took him 360 away because of that. Wii owners are more layback, not trying to create much trouble. 	well gee, nintendo never bragged that its FPS's would rock. Thats where the 360 comes in, and when you need platforming thats where the wii comes in. Theoretically, think of consoles as a band. Every console has a part. The 360 has the FPS (shall we say, the brass and percussion) while the wii has the platforming/mario games (the woodwinds and trumpets) and the Ps3 has eh...kinda a mix (did someone say bass clarinet?). Just like a band, no part is more important than another. If you take away one, you change the harmony of all the parts and it just wont sound the same. Of course, each part has its own purpose, and like all people, purpose creates harmony. ------------------- FTW?

But really that's all it has. Those 6 and a couple more. I own a Wii and almost didn't touch for year (had I not just started playing SMG this week, it would have been a year in two more weeks). And pretty much every game on the Wii is a clone. There are like 30 different clones of Excite Truck and even more quick-cashin, cheap knockoff minigame games meant to attract 5 year olds. And there are few multiplatform games on it as well.

	The 360 and the PS3 are really alike. Other than the fact that the PS3 is JUST getting off the ground after a full year of SUCKING both in quality of games and in sales. So, I'd just tell them that. Tell that to any Wii haters out there. Wii have (FUNNY PUN! LAUGH!) the console with the BEST control scheme ever INVENTED for video gaming! And we have some really awesome games!
