Raider: The Beginning.
BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP
A beer bottle toppled from the cabinet and smashed into pieces on the laminated floor of John Raiders bedroom, clothes, half empty pizza boxes and more empty beer bottles littered the floor as John Raider wearily crawled over to the left hand side of his messy double bed, switching the alarm off and rolling onto his back, rubbing his eyes and blurrily looking up at the white ceiling that was slowly looking more gray than white and in desperate need of redecorating, he streted his arms and slowly pulled himself forward and not realising there was broken glass beneath him, put his feet down on the cold laminate floor.
"*bleep*!" He shouted as the sharp edge of the broken glass pierced his left foot, he grabbed it and winced as he pulled a sharp piece of glass from his foot, a small amount of blood drizzled down his foot out of the wound left by the glass, droplets of red splashing onto the laminate floor as John brushed the rest of the glass from his foot and in a daze pulled on a pair of worn black jeans and a white t-shirt that had seen better days and staggered into the bathroom, he turned the tap on and ran a cloth under it, cleaning his foot before opening the cabinet and putting a plaster over the wound, closing the cabinet he stared into his reflection in the mirror, John Raider was approaching thirty, for most, thirty is a happy age, and John Raider earlier in the year was happy, he had everything he could ask for, a well paid job working as a succesful lawyer, and a beautiful fiance with a child on the way, but looking into his reflection, he wasnt even half the man of six months ago.
"Why me?" John asked his reflection to no reply, he rubbed his unwashed medium length brown hair, his stubble was slowly beginning to turn into a bead and was in desperate need of shaving, you wouldn't be mistaken for thinking John Raider was homeless the way he looked, but he just didn't care, he'd turned into himself, he didn't answer his phone, he rarely went outside only to pick up beer and food, he had excluded himself from society, punishing himself each day, living a war zone in his own mind.
"I'll never forget." He said to his reflection as he ran the hot water tap, splashing the warm water over his face and watching the steam of the water rise, condensating the mirror, John raised his index finger and wrote 'Krystal' on the mirror and stared at the name in a daze.
Six months ago, it was the hottest April on record in the UK, John Raider was at London High Court, working a case defending a female who had been viciously assaulted by a gang of men, the gang was notoriously well known throughout London, and John Raider defended the woman and in the end all six men on trial ended up going to jail for several years, but that day turned into a nightmare for John Rader as he was driving home from the court to his home in St Albans, he remembered the night as if it was yesterday, fog was heavy, and the rain lashed against his black BMW 320, as he turned down the road to his home, his eyes were blinded by a mix of red and blue lights, four police cars and an ambulance were in front of John's house, rushing out of his car he was stopped by two policemen who refused him entry as the area had been cordoned off.
"That's my home! What's happened!?" John repeats the words over and over in his mind.
"We're sorry, Sir." One of the policeman spoke calmly, holding John back by his shoulders.
"Where's Krystal?!" John shouted, over and over as he tried to fight past the two police officers.
The two offices repeatedly tried to calm John down, finally he stopped trying to push past and watched in horror as a black bodybag was wheeled out of his home.
"Krystal?!" John shouted, his voice echoing in the night as he ran past the offices to the bodybag, pushing the two paramedics out of the way and unzipped the bodybag just enough to see blonde strands of hair that had turned bloody red.
John recoiled in horror as three policement restrained him, he fell onto the wet grass in shock as the paramedics quickly zipped the bodybag back up and wheeled it into the ambulance.
John awoke from his daze, rubbing his eyes that had tears in them, he splashed some more water over his face and went into his kitchen, taking a dustpan and brush and cleaning the mess of the broken bottle in his bedroom, he poured the broken glass into the wastebin and looked at the clock, 11.11AM, John picked his black hooded jacket off the sofa, pulling it over his shoulder and pulling the hood up as he grabbed his keys and locked the door, the wind swirled around him as he walked down the street, his hands deep in his pocket, head down as he walked, ignoring the entire world around him, living in his own bubble, splashes of rain splashed over the pavement on and off as the clouds remained a dull gray, John walked for another ten minutes and stopped outside a maroon coloured building, John walked up to the double doors, pulling them open and walked in doors, keeping his hood up and walked up one set of stairs, the white walls gave no emotion to the building as John opened another door and pulled his hood down, a smart blonde receptionist sat at her desk, the only sound to be heard of her typing, John thought for a second she looked like Krystal used to, but quickly banished the thought to the back of his mind, she raised her head up as he approached.
"John Raider, for Doctor Williaams, am I right?" She asked, John went to reply but the wooden door to the office of Doctor Williams creaked open.
"You are indeed, Stephanie." Doctor Williams stood by the door in a gray v-neck jumper over a white shirt and black trousers stood at the door, he looked about sixty, with short gray hair and a short white beard."
"Come in, John." He said, John walked into his office, closing the door behind him.
"Take a seat." The doctor gestured with his hand for John to sit down, he pulled the black seat back and took a seat, resting his arms on his knees.
"And how are you feeling today?" Doctor Williams asked.
"How do you expect me to feel?" John replied.
"My fiance's still dead, my child, gone. My life ruined by lowlifes who get to roam these streets doing as they please with no remorse and no punishment."
"John." The doctor sat back in his chair, rubbing his white beard.
"How is your drinking? Have you cut down?"
"I've tried." John sank back in the chair, rubbing his head."
"And do you think you've made any progress through these sessions?" The doctor studied John, as he remained sunk in his chair, looking vacant.
"John?" The doctor said again, causing John to blink, snapping out of his trance.
"Yeah?" John replied, pulling himself up a little.
"I asked if you think you've made progress, but I think without being too harsh we can both agree, these sessions aren't working that well." The doctor stood up from his chair, looking out of his window, rain splashed against it as he sighed.
"This weather, to me it reflects you, John."
John looked out of the window, to a degree, he agreed, but what did anyone expect? He'd lost his fiance, the love of his life, his unborn child, and his job, how anyone could even pretend that anything could get better after that was beyond him.
"John, you need to accept things as they are." The doctor said, turning around to face him.
"What'd you mean?" John asked in reply.
"I mean you have to accept what's happened yourself first, you've got to help yourself, before others can help you." Doctor Williams came round to John and put his arm on his shoulder.
"I've known you ever since your first visit, and I can honestly not imagine what your going through, but you have to try for yourself, only then will you be able to move on." The doctor patted his shoulder and walked back round his desk and sat down.
"When that time comes, I'll still be here, I hope." The doctor joked as John stood up and walked towards the door, not saying a word, he went to open the door and turned round.
"Hey." John spoke quietly.
"Yes?" Doctor Williams replied.
"You'll survive, your a good guy." John nodded as he exited the room, shutting the door behind him.
"And so are you." Doctor Williams said quietly as he watched John walk away.
John walked out the doors and the rain was lashing heavily down on the pavement, quickly he pulled his hood up and turned to walk home but noticed a dark figure stood by the wall, looking up at the rain, he turned and looked at John.
"Here for therapy too huh?" The mystery man quizzed.
"Guess you could say that, John said as he wiped a droplet of rain from his forehead."
"Their all useless, all repeating the same lines. 'You can't be helped until you help yourself.'"
John was surprised at the quote, as he'd only just heard it from Doctor Williams himself.
"But you can help yourself, John." The mystery man turned to him, wearing a skull bandanna over his mouth so John couldn't see his face properly.
"Oh yes, I know all about you John Raider." The man pulled into his jacket, and handed John a piece of paper.
"If you want salvation, follow your heart." The man said before turning and walking quickly away.
John read the address on the paper, 'Unit 13 The Galleria' it read, John knew where the place was from an old lawyer case he worked on, he looked up and the mystery man had disappeared.
"Hey!" John shouted, and he ran around the corner, looking for him, but he had dissapeared into thin air, John stood in the heavy rain perplexed, tucking the paper into his jacket pocket he quickly walked home, desperate to get out of this horrible weather and try to work out who the mystery man could be, but John knew there was possibly only one way to find out who the man is, and that would be to go to the address he'd been given.

Raider: The Beginning
John Raider threw his dripping wet jacket on the coat hangers as he shut the door behind him, the rain brewing up a vicious thunderstorm as hail began lashing against the window, John felt relieved to have missed the onslaught as he pulled the letter out of his inside jacket pocket and looked at it, it was damp, but still readable, 'Unit 13 The Galleria' was all that was read, nothing else to go off, a light switch flicked on in John Raider's head and he ran upstairs, the wooden stairs groaned beneath his weight as he went up, he stopped on the landing and looked up at the pull down cord to the attic, he hadn't been in the attic since Krystal's death, he'd just put all his work old lawyer work up there, as well as the reminents of his and Krystal's relationship, John quickly went into his bedroom and pulled open the side cabinet and taking a flash light, he exited and pulled the pull down cord and started climbing up the wooden rungs of the ladder, he crawled into the attic on his hands and knees, fishing the flashlight out of his pocket and flicked it on, dust accumilated most of the boxes, a sheet covered the boxes John knew were Krystal's belongings, the opposite side of the attic to the left he saw piled up four boxes of his old Lawyer records and newspaper clippings that he'd kept, he crouched over to them, taking each step carefully and pulled one of the boxes down, taking a nearby cloth and cleaning off the box before opening the box and delving into his past life.
John Raider spent hours rummaging through a dozen A4 arch level folders, dusting each one off and flicking through his past, remembering cases he had been a part of, keeping a close eye out for any sign of the words 'Unit 13' or 'Galleria' he only had one box left, and was beginning to think maybe he wouldn't find anything, that this had all been in vein, when he opened a red folder, and in it containted a newspaper clipping, John's eyes widened as he read the headline 'Gruesome Galleria Suicide Pact Uncovered" read the article, two bodies had been found in the Galleria, their throats had been slashed with two knives with their fingerprints on each knife, the news spread like wildfire, a male and female in their early twenties were found hung, at first thought to be a suicide pact, apart from the noticeable cuts in their calves, both in the same place, the same "G" cut. Nobody knew what that could of meant, both were shown to have taken an interest in the occult, and with no history of criminal activity or no real motive, the police's only suscpicion was they had took some form of a suicide pact and killed eachother by slashing their throats at the same time. while the 'G'that had been cut was put down to some sort of occult branding, not that the police were totally sure but with little else to go on they closed the case.
John remembered the story well, it was two days that he read it before the day Krystal was murdered, he read the story over, but nothing came to him, that was the only connection he could make with the Galleria and Unit 13, which from what he had heard was no longer used, he took the newspaper article and folded it into his back pocket and closed the boxes back up, he looked over at the sheet that covered the memories of Krystal, he stared into space for a moment and then snapped back to reality.
"I'm sorry." He whispered, and began to climb back down the ladder, he was putting the torch back in the drawer when he heard the phone begin to ring from downstairs, the rain was still beating heavily against the windows as John slammed the door shut and paced down the wooden stairs, picking the phone up and placing it to his ear.
"Hello?" John spoke into the receiver, anticipating a reply.
"..." John could hear deep breathing down the phone.
"Who is this?" He quizzed.
Still the person on the other end just kept breathing.
"I wont ask again, who is this?" John managed to keep his calm, but raised his voice in hope of making whoever this was realise he was serious.
"If you want to find out what happened to your fiance, you'll play by my rules." A deep voice replied, still breathing heavily.
"It's you...how do you know about my fiance?!" John shouted in shock that this man seemed to know about Krystal, he recognised the voice was similair to the man who handed him the address earlier.
"I mistook your intelligence, John." The man spoke more calmly now, his breathing less distinct.
"How do you know my name?" John felt his heart race with confusion, who was this man? How did he know his name?
"Unit thirteen, the galleria. Be there at eleven, tonight." The phoneline went dead.
John immediatly tried to call the number back, but the number had been withheld, he slammed the phone down hard in frustration, who was this man? How did he know John Raider's name? How did he know about Krystal? And why such a specific time to be at the galleria?
John Raider sat on his sofa, watching his watch tick each second by, part of him considered informing the police, he was unsure what he was getting into, but ever since Krystal's death he had been against the police force, he felt hard done by, that his beautiful fiance who had never harmed anyone in her life had been taken from him, and the police hadn't even been able to catch the culprits, no finger prints, nothing, they just dropped the case like it was nothing, but to John Raider, his life had been ruined, he'd lost everything, and what had been done for him since? A sorry? Well that wasn't good enough, John Raider felt it was an injustice that someone who'd tried to support and defend people who'd had their lives destroyed by criminals and get them justice like he had, but who had tried to get him justice? nobody, John Raider pulled on his jacket and headed out the door, the rain had subsided but the cold wind whistled around his face as he walked down the dull streetlit pathways.
"Spare change?" A homeless man sat in a shop doorway asked John as he walked by, John looked at him for a second and for a second reached into his pocket, but he had no change.
"Sorry, can't help you." John replied as he carried on walking through the cold dark night in St Albans.
John took a left, and crossed the road, walking down some steps he approached the old airport hangers that had become warehouses, John walked around the warehouses, finalling finding Unit 13, John noticed the entrance was slightly open, he pushed the entrance door open slightly and crept inside, John entered slowly, looking around the darkened warehouse, John couldn't see a thing when suddenly the lights came on, blinding John as he raised his hand overr his eyes, John blined a few times and finally could see properly, in front of him he saw three desks with monitor screens on them, the same dark figure of the mystery man from earlier sat behind them, his back turned to John, a hood hiding any visibility.
"What..is all this?" John quizzed.
The man remained motionless for a moment, before turning himself around, his head lowered so JOhn couldn't make out his face out.
"This, is unit thirteen." The man replied in a deep voice.
"I mean the monitors, what's with all this stuff?" John asked.
"That will become clear later, for now, I'd like us to talk, take a seat." The man held his arm up as a way to gesture John to come and take a seat opposite him, he approached cautiously, slowly sitting on the plastic black chair, still the mans hood hanging over his head made it difficult to idenitfy his face.
"How do you know who I am?" John asked.
"It was't difficult to find out your personal information, John Raider. With todays technology, finding out about anyone has become as easy as a click of a button, you've been in newspapers, even on national television on occasion, so finding your information wasn't as difficult as you may think." The mystery man spoke calmly and deeply, still remaining motionless.
"But who are you? What have I done to you?" John was confused, he had no idea who this man could be.
"You have done nothing to me, John." The man spoke, he then raised his hand, pulling back his hood, John immediatly recognised the man to be Doctor Williams.
"Doctor?!" John exclaimed, confused as to why Doctor Williams had called him here.
"Correct, John." Doctor Williams stood up, he studied one of the monitors for a second then looked at John.
"You know, John. I've known you for around six months now, and I think I've finally found a way to help you." Doctor Williams sat back down, clasping his hands.
"What do you mean help me?" John quizzed with confusion.
"Your fiance, Krystal." Doctor Williams replied.
"What do you know about her?" John leaned forward, desperate for answers.
"All you've known about me is what you have seen during our sessions, but outside of work, I am very much like the man you used to be, John. I help people, I help people get through their pain, I help them become at peace with themselves, I help them accept their bad hand. I know how smart you are, I'm sure you remember the newspaper article regarding the suicide pact that occured in this very building two days before your fiance met her tragic end." John stared blankly at Doctor Williams, unsure what to make of all this.
"I did, yes." John replied.
"That wasn't suicide, the two individuals had been having an affair, an affair that led the females partner to commit suicide himself."
"How do you know this?" John intervened.
"Because as I said, John. I help people, I help them become at peace with themselves, the guilt that was left behind from their betrayal, the fact their betrayal and their own unfaithfulness, their lies caused an unessarcy end to a life, they deserved their fate." Doctor Williams remained calm and coherant, looking John in the eye as he spoke.
"You..killed them?" John's eyes grew wide, his heart began to race, he couldn't believe what he was hearing.
"What do you think the G was for? Galleria? My first name is George, legally I changed it to David knowing the authorities wouldn't think twice." John was shocked at this admission, his heart raced faster and he felt sweat on his palms.
"But why..." He asked, his breathing becoming heavy.
"They took a life, they deserved their fate, I was putting the victims heart at rest, and now instead of discussing my past, I'd like you to look at these monitors, I think you'll be very interested in what you see."
Doctor Williams gestured for John to look at the monitors, he stood up slowly and walked around, the monitors were all black and white, John saw two men in a room, both were tied to wooden chairs face to face, one was trying to break free and he watched on the screen as he fell to the ground, still tied to the chair.
"Persistent, isn't he?" Doctor Williams smirked.
"Who are they?" John asked.
"These two men are who killed your fiance." John looked at Doctor Williams in shock, but he could tell he wasn't joking.
"How do you know?" He quizzed.
"I have my ways, that I can't trust you with right now, however, there is an offer on the table to you." Doctor Williams placed his hands folded on the table as John watched the men on the screen, both still failing to get free.
"What is it?" John said calmly, vengeance taking over his mind.
"I knew I had a good feeling about you, John." Doctor Williams said as he stood up, placing his hand on John Raider's shoulder.
"A life for life, is the philosophy I live by, these two men took your fiance's life, and her unborn childs with it, they both hold the keys to your demons of your past."
Doctor Williams held out his hand, in his palm was a silver key.
"Take the key, and set yourself free from the shackles of your past, and become the person you once were, helping others who have been wronged like yourself, or walk away, it's your choice."
John looked at Williams for a moment, then back at the monitors, before placing his hand over Williams' and taking the key.
"Lead the way." John Raider said calmy, as Doctor Williams smiled and patted his shoulder, pulling a basement door open, and taking a lantern, heading down into the darkness.

Raider: The Beginning
Doctor Williams led John Raider through the dark underground basement of Unit 13 with the only light coming from the lantern in Doctor Williams hand, the smell was damp as their footsteps echoed.
"What is this place?" John Raider questioned.
"I'm sure you saw all those other warehouses out there, they all used to be old war airplane hangers, this tunnel was built as some sort of secret escape route from what I can tell, probably incase the place was bombed." Doctor Williams replied as he paced forward, his steps echoing off the walls, he stopped and lifted the lantern, fixing it in a holder, John Raider stood beside him, watching as Doctor Williams motioned for the key in his hand, John handed him it and Williams put the key into the lock, twisting it clockwise filling the area with the loud metallic clonking of the door unlocking.
"Here's where you finally find your salvation." Doctor Williams said calmly to John Raider as he pushed the large steel door open, the metal scraped against the floor as it opened, and the muffled screams of the two men who were tied to the chairs filled the room, the room was large and spacious, a black chalkboard with the numbers three and four wrote on it was at the back of the room next to a gray door, a desk with a television on it sat at the opposite end, with the two men in the centre screaming their desperate pleas for help that went unoticed by Doctor Williams, who went to a desk and opened a drawer, rummaging through it as John Raider stood on the spot, focusing his attention on the two men trapped, his eyes were filling with rage, these two men had murdered his wife, both were begging through their gags for help.
Doctor Williams walked over to John Raider and gave him a black robe similair to his, John put it on, and followed Doctor Williams in pulling the hood up, he stood to the side as Doctor Williams walked around the two men, he motioned for John's help in pulling the one who had knocked himself and the chair over in a desperate bid to escape.
"That wasn't a smart idea now was it?" Doctor Williams said as he and John sat the man back in his original position facing the other man, both men screamed through their gags, their muffled voices filling the room, begging for their release, Doctor Williams ignored them as John just stared at them, his blood rushing, Williams came over with two sheets of A4 paper, which he handed to John.
"Here, I thought you'd like to know these two sick bastards a bit better." Doctor Williams spoke with an eerie calmness as the men continued filling the room with their muffled screams.
John read through the two sheets of A4, the first sheet had a picture of Rick Bryant he had a shaved head and a variety of tattoo's, most noticeable a large cross on his neck and a tribal design on his left shoulder, he was twenty six, and had no family, his bio read that he had been in and out of alcohol and drug rehabilitation since the age of twenty one, he had also spent two years from the age of twenty three to twenty five in prison for being caught with cocaine.
John looked at Bryant with disgust as he looked at the other sheet of A4, the name of the other man was Joseph Morrison, he was twenty three and had short dark hair, he looked incredibly frail and like Bryant, had been in drug and alcohol rehabilitation since the age of just nineteen, both mens muffled screams for their lives didn't phaze John Raider, his blood boiled thinking of what they had done to his fiance, Krystal.
Doctor Williams came back over, John Raider handed the information back to him and he quickly placed it back in his drawer and began circling the trapped men, almost like a predator stalking his pray.
"Do you both know why you're here?" Williams questioned the two men, who screamed through their gags, scared for their lives as sweat dripped down their foreheads.
"No, I didn't think you did. You see, the problem with people like you two is, you don't appreciate anything do you? You take and take, you don't care who gets hurt in the process as long as you get what you want, and why should people like you who just destroy others lives be allowed to live on, not caring about the destruction they have caused in others lives, do you have an answer for me?" Doctor Williams continued to pace round the two men as their screams became louder and more desperate.
"I guess that's a no." Williams said as he motioned for John Raider to follow him to the desk located in the northern corner of the room, he opened another drawer and took two collars out of the drawer and took the small television and remote, handing them to John Raider with a key.
"Here, go put these in the room next door, this key will open the door for you."
John took the television and unlocked the small door at the back of the room, the room was small with just a table occupying it, John sat the television on top of the table and went back into the room where Doctor Williams was finishing fastening the second collar to Rick Bryant, the collars were around the mens necks, he then approached John Raider.
"Well then, it looks like we're all set." Doctor Williams spoke as he pulled the blackboard forward, removing a knife that was taped to the back of it and taking two small code entry safes that were behind it, he motioned for John to move the two men apart and placed the safes in the middle of them with the knife on top of it.
"You'll both be wondering what this all is, and it's about to all become clear." Doctor Williams said as paced up and down.
"You see, you both need to really appreciate living after the damage you caused, murdering someone, someone who had everything to live for, a child on the way, you two men are really the lowest of the low, however now you have a chance to prove your worth to society." Doctor Williams looked over at John Raider, who looked on wondering what he was meaning.
"You see, these safes both contain the keys that will free you from the shackles around your neck, the first two numbers are wrote on the blackboard behind you, however the other two numbers, well, lets just call it hide and seek, you'll have to find that out for yourself, good luck."
Doctor Williams ushered John Raider to follow him through the small door into the room with the television, once in there he locked the door and pointed to the tv, a CCTV system was being used to watch the two men from a variety of different angles.
"I thought we were going to punish them for what they did to my fiance?" John questioned.
"When one is desperate to survive, they will do crazy things." Williams replied with a smirk as he pointed to the back of his head.
Rick Bryant and Joseph Morrison sat, still tied to their chairs looking at each other, both seating from their foreheads. Morrison had tears down his face, they each looked at the knife, and Bryant made the first move, shuffling his chair forward, Joseph screamed through his gag as Bryant edged closer and Morrison began lurching himself forward, falling forward, crashing his head into the edge of the safe and laying motionless.
"Well this is an interesting way to begin." Doctor Williams spoke as he folded his arms.
Rick Bryant looked for a second at the motionless Morrison, and then his eyes widened, notcing the numbers one and three on the back of his neck, Bryant lurched forward, stretching his tied hand just enough that he managed to grip the knife, quickly he began to cut through the rope, and soon he was totally free from the chair, kicking it over as he stood up for the first time, causing Morrison to stir from his motionless state.
"I think we're about to find out just how friendly these two are." Doctor Williams claimed as John Raiden kept a keen eye on the television.
As Joseph Morrison turned himself over Rick Bryant came up to him, Morrison screamed through his gag, begging for help but Bryant ignored him, trying to roll him onto his back.
"Just turn over, mother*bleep*er!" Bryant shouted as Morrison struggled to get free.
"Ah!" Bryant screamed as the rope around Morrisons legs became loose, allowing him to kick Bryant in the ground, sending him to his knees in pain, desperatly Morrison grabbed the knife, kicking Bryant back and quickly began to free himself.
"May have to look into using something a bit more durable in the future, but see what I mean?" Doctor Williams asked John Raider who remained silent, intently watching the television screen.
Joseph Morrison was finally free and pulled himself up slowly, stumbling backwards against the wall from exhaustion, he watched as Rick Bryant turned himself over, using the chair to pull himself up, Joseph noticed Bryant had the numbers one and three on the back of his head and crawled to the safe, Bryant turned and noticed, his eyes widened in desperation.
"What'd you think you're doing!" He shouted as he ran at Morrison, kicking him in the stomach, sending him flying from the safe, Bryant jumped on Morrison, chocking him by the throat.
"Just give me the damn numbers!" He shouted as he tried to force Morrison to turn over, but he refused and hit Bryant in the face three times, causing him to stagger back.
"Getting interesting isn't it?" Doctor Williams qupped to John Raider.
"I'll kill you!" Bryant screamed at Morrison as he went to grab the knife off the floor, but Morrison came running at Bryant, sending his knee into his jaw and staggering him backwards, a tooth flew out of Bryants mouth, hitting the wall and then the floor as Morrison once again desperatly tried to key in the number to the safe, Bryant spat on the floor, seeing his own blood gave him an adrenaline rush and he turned around to see Morrison over the safe.
"I'll kill you mother*bleep*er!" Bryant screamed in desperation as he grabbed the knife from the floor, Morrison turned around, a scream echoed around the room as Bryant plunged the knife deep into Morrisons abdomonen, piercing his flesh and causing the blood to flow out, turning the grey floor red.
"Told you." Doctor Williams spoke as John Raiden remained silent.
Rick Bryant stood still for a moment, his breathing heavy as the knife dropped from his hand, the blade clattered against the floor, he then returned his focus to getting the numbers, turning the lifeless body of Joseph Morrison over he once again took note of the numbers one and three, taking a quick glance at the blackboard he entered the numbers '3413' into the safe key input, he yanked at the safe door and it opened, containing the key to his collar, he inserted the key and turned it, but the collar wouldn't unlock.
"What the *bleep*?!" Bryant screamed as he desperatly tried to release himself.
"Why isn't it releasing him?" John Raider quizzed Doctor Williams.
"There's two locks on that collar that he needs to unlock to release himself, sadly for him, the other key is in that safe, and he doesn't have the numbers, or his buddy to give him the numbers and help him out." Doctor Williams smirked as he turned the television off.
"Follow me." He ordered John Raider.
Williams led Raider out of the room and began to clap as Rick Bryant turned around to face them.
"What the *bleep*'s going on?! This key don't work!" He shouted.
"Congratulations, you found your key." Williams replied.
"Yeah and it don't *bleep*ing work!" Bryant shouted as he continued desperatly trying to free himself.
"Well I do believe I said that these safes contain the keys to your shackles." Williams smirked as Bryant looked at him with fear in his eyes.
"You see, you may have got your key, however there's two keys that are needed to free yourself, I'm sure you can guess where that key is." Williams yet again smirked as Bryant looked at the other safe and desperatly entered the same keycode to no success, he then tried to open the safe with the knife to no avail.
"Give me the number or you'll end up like him over there!" Bryant pointed the blade at Doctor Williams and nodded to the lifeless body of Joseph Morrison.
"Feel free, killing me wont get you that number." Doctor Williams smirked and walked towards the door as Bryant desperately lunged at him, but immediatly he fell to the floor, John Raider had lunged forward and punched Bryant in the jaw, knocking him unconcious.
"Good work." Doctor Williams spoke approvingly, as he pulled a small square device from his pocket.
"Here." He said as he handed John Raider the device.
"What's this?" John asked, the device was just a small black box with a small red button on the top.
"I said you could free yourself from the shackles of your past, the truth is John, this was always going to be the end result, I personally consider it a shame one of them killed the other beforehand but, you saw the fear, the desperation in their eyes, that would of been the same fear that was in your fiance's eyes when they murdered her, with this device, you can set yourself at peace, you can help them be free of their addictions to destroying themselves and others lives with one press of that button."
John Raider stared at the button as Williams stood by the open door, Rick Bryant stirred from his unconcious state, crawling up to John Raider's feet.
"P..P...Please..." Bryant groggily managed to speak."
"You took my fiance, my unborn child, and you never gave her the choice, you don't appreciate life, and you don't deserve it either." John Raider spoke calmly as Bryant begged and pleaded, tears streamed down his eyes and blood ran down his chin, splashing on the floor as Raider turned around following Doctor Williams out of the room.
"Burn in hell." John Raider said calmly, before clicking the red button on the device, causing the collar to detonate a spike in the collar that pierced into Bryants neck causing blood to begin to pour out of Bryants neck as he gasped, falling lifeless as his blood poured over the floor around him.
Doctor Williams walked alongside John Raider in silence for a few moments, watching him from the corner of his eye.
"How do you feel?" Williams asked.
"At peace." Raider replied as Williams put an arm on his shoulder.
"I told you, now we can begin to help others who have had their lives ruined by people with no appreciation for the human life." Williams stated with Raider nodding in response.
"We'll make them appreciate their lives." Raider said with confidence.
"That we will." Doctor Williams replied as they walked back to Unit 13.
