[Story] Boktai: Sun vs. Shadow (Frequent swearing, 15+) |
|
I'm just trying something out here, I don't know if you've heard of Boktai or Lunar Knights before, but hey, this might get you interested. Comments posted here for feedback, please. There is no light without shadow, and there is no shadow without light. Both shadow and light are essential to the ways of life. But when shadow takes control of life... The undead, the vampires, and the immortals... The sun must do the same. Our story begins with vampire hunter Ringo, wielder of the solar gun, Gun del Sol, and his children Sabata and Django. They are both 3 years old and have just begun to talk. Ringo has struggled without Mani, mother of the two children. I speak not financially, of course. Since the appearance of the immortals, the bright star that once shone above the city of the sun, San Miguel, has weakened. The immortals were supposed to live in harmony with the humans, but greed fed them a much more handsome price. Thus the undeadening began. Ringo has left his children under the care of the Librarian, agent of San Miguel. He stops over at the blacksmith's to speak to his good friend Smith. "You're fighting a losing battle Ringo," Smith said. "Can you not see that they will eventually destroy us?" "I do. But I believe that they will destroy themselves in the process." "You're crazy, y'know?" Smith said, lifting the astro sword he had just made for him. "They would not destroy us. They could not destroy their source of food...they want something. I just know it..." {color=grey}"The easiest way is not to think about it." Smith handed over the astro sword. "How could I not think about it? They've already taken the Fire and Frost guardians. Cheyenne and I won't last much longer," Ringo sighed. "Perhaps it's not up to me anymore." "Your children will be the ones to bring this world to light. You must do all you can to train and protect them." "But where could I protect them?" There was a knock at the door. Cheyenne came rushing in. He held his tomohawk axes in his hand, and he was bleeding all over. "Dainn! He's here!" "No!" Ringo ran outside. "You're not going to run this time!" "And who's going to stop me, Ringo?" Dainn cackled. "Do you remember what happened last time? I recall 2 certain 'warriors' being sent straight to the jaws of Vanargand!" The Count of Groundsoaking Blood, lord of the vampires, laughed with triumph. "Damn you, Count!" "Enough! We have not come for petty arguments. You have something and we want it. Where are your children?!" "You will never take my children!" "Oh? Says what?" "Says this!" Ringo drew his astro sword. Dainn frowned. "You don't seriously think a mere astro weapon can stop me!" "No, but the energy will definitely help my solar gun!" Ringo dismantled the sword and attached the handle to his solar gun. The newly turned battery had not only gave him infinite capacity, but had given the gun the power of the stars. Dainn staggered back. The Count brought forward his cape, prepared for what was to come. They had not experienced the power of stars yet, and they had yet to research its effects. "...We will leave for now, Ringo." "But you will never be rid of darkness!" Dainn and The Count disappeared into shadows. Ringo smirked, but quickly let it down as his face covered with sorrow. All the citizens of San Miguel left their houses to see what all the ruckus was about. They found Ringo at his knees. He looked to the Librarian, carrying his children, and softly said... "Tomorrow we leave for Istrakan." This message was edited by Relmutsie AN on Apr 19 2008. | |

This one is a little hucked up. This is how Istrakan, the "city of death", was before the undeadening occured... ------------------- Power's a thirst, kid. Sooner or later, the thirst always wins.
