I am in the We've Got Hostiles section and I am trying to take the elevator up to the surface. Every time I start up in the elevator, it gets about half way up then I start hearing plane rotor sounds and the game freezes. I can't move, other than to look around, and my energy and health count down as I take damage from I don't know where until I die.

I tried playing a new game, that didn't fix it. I also tried turning of audio hardware acceleration, that didn't work either.

Can anyone help me?

get the WORST configuration for the game; lower the reslution, the 3D acceleration and the colour depth, use the SOFTWARE configuration, not OpenGL, or Direct 3D... that kinda stuff!

jesus i know im responding to a question that was posted in sept and you may not read this but okay ill awnser it anyway.
to skip that section hit the docter kleiner lookalike and hell open the security door, press the button to open the blast doors and you can skip the elavator glitch.
