quote Feanaro
I scored on a L1 chip volley last night.

I was playing some games of Real Madrid vs. Mallorca, and Beckham did a huge L1 + /\ pass to Van Nistelrooy on the edge of the area. Van Nistelrooy controlled the ball with his head (luckily for me) and when I pressed L1 + [] he chipped it just over the keeper and just under the bar.

I will have a video up just as soon as I get a new computer because my old one's motherboard died a week ago.
Nice, looking forward to it .

I've scored a chipped volley, but I shan't divulge any more details since it might make a GOTM here or on pesfan this or next month .

Can anyone help on how to master chip shots? So far out of probably 100 attempts I scored 3 or 4 chipped goals.

Yeap, I've found that chip shots seem to me to be invariably more accurate when the keeper has actually come off his line. Obviously, the secret chip shot technique is a sure-fire way of scoring them, but for normal chipping, practice really does make perfect .

When the keeper comes out, I usually use the secret chip shot but either it goes to the keepers arms or goes well over.

Are you sure you're angling the player correctly? Look at the training video to see if you are .

Yes, but I just can't get the right amount of power on it.

Sorry, only just saw this reply .

If you're doing everything right, full power is the correct amount to use.

And Beckham makes it 8!!!

Just scored my eight free kick with Beckham. Curled in off the post, beautiful finish.

Nice to see you keeping count there Eric

Scoring free-kicks is actually my strong point on PES6, I have scored quite a lot with Henry, that's the taker I am most comfortable with.

Scored one today with Yeste, but ironically I've never actually scored one with Beckham in a game. And not through lack of effort either. I just can't seem to get them right with him.

I've scored one FK with Beckham, but only 13 overall in five months of playing WE 2007. But I've hit the crossbar and had the ball bounce out soooo many times I starting to think it's fixed!

My new PC finally turned up on Saturday and I've already made a video of my Van Nistelrooy L1 chip volley. It's the last goal on this video of goals I scored back in June playing Real Madrid vs Mallorca after they won the title in real life. The goals are in order from easiest to score, to hardest:

First of all, great goals Feanaro!

Haha, loved that Raul one where he stepped over the ball to let it go in on the Mallorca vid . Awesome stuff Feanor.

Maddeth: Thats *bleep*ing amazing ! I am so trying that now . Are there any other prerequisites or is it just about the angle the player is when they do it? Could you write a quick step-by-step guide so I can have a real good go at them? And GOOD LORD! You can do those secret turns! I know about them, know exactly how to do them, but cannot manage it for love nor money . My hat is off to you.

All of these vids are absolute gold. Could you write quick guides on how to do the Marseille pass, the three 135-degree Zidane-style turns (I'm still in complete awe that they exist - I thought they were only in the piggyback guide by mistake because they were making the book using a game beta lol ), and the secret chip aswell if you could.

Awesome!

I scored my first chip in a game last night, almost by accident. I was winning 3-0, and got Shaw out on a break and thought what the hell, I'll have a go. Buffon took about two steps out, I was running at a 45 toward the middle of the goal and chipped it from the top of the 18, right under the bar. My favorite goal I've scored so far I think. Bad part is is makes me want to master more of the tricks that I've had a hard time getting the hang of, and I can't watch the tutorial. No computer at home, and for some reason I can't get the correct Flsah player to install...
