What effect does X and Triangle have on your freekicks?

I have just watched a video on YouTube and they recommended holding X after the shot bar has filled up for shorter freekicks and using Triangle with the same procedure for longer freekicks.

Messi seems to be the best for rabona's i scored one from just outside the box with him.. and is the X and Triangle nt something to do with power like strong/weak shot??

i find holding X also adds extra dip on it and using TRIANGLE usually makes the shot go top corner.

I find Andrea Pirlo the best at taking free kicks.

His Swerve is so amazing.

Around the 3rd minute it is, nice goals in there.

I also like using Pirlo for FKs because of his swerve and cool stance.

Pirlo's been my free kicker of choice since PES5 - I perfected taking kicks with him ready for online play on PES5.
