I scored through a blatant own goal yesterday, but it gave the goal to Prso, my player. Does that mean that own goals arent recognised on this game?

I think own goals are'nt recognised like in all Fifa games.

I don't understand what you're trying to say, but if any of your players score their own goals in Fifa, they're recognised.

Well I havent seen one. And when someone scored a blatant own goal for me the other day, it went down as my player who crossed it in, and not the defender who put it in his own net.

When you score an own goal with a player on your team (score for opposition) the game says it is an own goal. When the PS2 scores an own goal it credits it with your player.

Probably something to do with this game, but it sure doesn't happen in Fifa 06. Since I play about everyday and last week the computer score their own net twice last week.

yes there are own goals in the game!! i just had 2 in the same match! first, i had a shot, edgar davids blocked it, but it went past edwin van der sar, then davids got to the ball but touched it too far, and into the net. it said edgar davids own goal. then, i crossed the ball across the floor, really powerful, the defender blasted it to clear it but it hit their own player and went in!

It credits the goals as own goals when the CPU scores them on mine. The defender tried t pass the ball to the goalkeeper who was down injured and it just went straight over the line (silly bugger) And it was classed as a Carlos own goal

They are recognised, i was Mexico and scored an own goal with Salcido but then in the second half, Mertesacker scored an own goal and it came up with the same own goal scored by... thing

same here own goals are counted but when they do happen they always show the goalkeeper as if hes done it..when a defender has put it in.

Only once has a AI defender scored a own goal and the goal get given to my player, who was Beckham who had just taken the corner. Every other time it has worked fine.
