Okay, so I just got a 360 and Bioshock, and I decided to play it through on Hard Diff setting on my first run.

I am at the first BD you have to fight, in the Med Pavilion atrium. I have only TK and Electro Bolt Plasmids, armor piercing on the pistol, as well as regular ammo for the machine gun and the shotty. I have tried to shock and shotty till he dies, but he always kills me. The two bots that were once in this area are now dead, and I have no other ammo or plamids than those I listed, can someone please help? I have yet to get him past 1/3 health.

I also don't use Vita-chambers, so it has to be done in one go-round.

I found this Nitro Splicer (another part of the map from BD) who threw Nitro grenades at me. I caught his grenade, ran back to BD, let him have it, and ran back to Nitro guy ..... and so on.

Took about 8 Nitros and a lot of running back and forth ... make some quicksaves with each successful run.

Thanks for the help, but I have already killed all the enemies in the level. I guess I just need to become more proficient at running and getting behind cover, as well as dodging his lunges. That seems to be all I can do.

Thanks for the advice. I actually got past that big daddy by just dodging and shocking and shottying him to death.

However, after my next 3 encounters with BDs it was just too time consuming. It took me over an hour to beat each one. I was too psyched about finishing the game to continue at this snail's pace, so I changed the difficulty level to medium so I can get through the story. I love it just as much as i thought I would (and that is a lot).

I couldn't believe how easy it seems to kill BDs now that I have it on medium. With the ammo and cash that splicers increasing so much with the diff level change, it made it so easy. Not to mention the plasmids and weapons coming quickly. I haven't died against a BD since (or at all for that matter).

Yeah, I did find that first one really hard and wondered if I was going to figure out how to get him at all, being so weak with lack of weapon choices and health packs.

But once over that level and getting a bit more health, spares, ammo and all, it's becomes so much faster to figure them out, and with more choice of how to beat them, and I recon great fun to get the Splicer to soften them up first.

Electro Bolt and four shots with electro-buck are my sure-fire trick.

I use simple methods. Four electric buckshot from an upgraded shotgun usually takes them down. By endgame, I can drop them with three.

The only other way I take them down is with the regular Thompson machine gun ammunition. Simple kills for simple enemies.

On verteran i use the enviroment - Security Bullseye and enrage - to weaken and then i use trip wires and mines while hitting him with rockets and anit-armour rounds until he falls down and i realize how much ammunition i used.

does anybody else believe that the big daddy is not hard enough, i mean, we should have to run for our lives, LOOK AT HIM, anyway my tactic is to electricute and then use armor piercing or anti-personnal bullets

I think that bouncers are too easy, rosies are really fine. I had no problems with the first one, the daddy got into a fight with a nitro splicer, I was wailing on him with machine gun rounds, and then when he started paying attention to me I used my limited electro bucks.

upgrade your shotgun twice, use electro-buck on him till you have to reload, then you can change weapons or run backward dodging while reloading. this is really effective after completing the big daddy research.

Target dummy and exploding bucks. Target dummy, blast him. Target dummy, balst him. Thats how I take out the big ones without dying.
