Sorry if a thread for this has already been made, but I'm typing this from my sidekick and I don't think its been talked about before.
Alright, so I don't know if anybody actually shoots film and develops their pictures the post-modern, retro, scenester way in a darkroom, but I do. In the dark room there are some manupulation techniques that you can do to get some really weird and interesting results from your negatives.
I know four: solarazation where you develop the image like normal, but halfway through the developer you take it out and expose it to a bright light than continu normally. It puts a positive and negative of the image together making some prints very surreal.
Toning and oil paints are pretty self explanatory, just changing the whole print or highlighting a ceritain part with some color. My favorite however is when you paint or spray on developer. Only the part of the print that you get wet with it will develop and it can work really well.
Once I get off my lazy ass and actually scan in my prints I will post an example of these.
Whoa. Okay, so does anybody else use any of these or know any others? I'm really curious to find more of these!
