It would be hard for many people to do long exposure shots as I'm pretty sure about half the people here are working off point and shoots.

Anyone keen on a Mono (Black&White) round? or Fauna? or the round from the last edition of this that I was really interested in but never got completed, Home?

I feel like this photo really correlates with loneliness, of being on the road, of being away.. And yet also mocks the reality that we are so small in this world, with the size of freeway and moon at the top.

*No editing, other than converted to grayscale in PS.

Bought this little guy about a year ago in San Diego. He is kingsnake, with a reverse stripe morph. Instead of alternating black and white bands, he is completely white with a partially black head and a brown strip running down the length of his spine. I just let him slither around my couch and he seemed to like his heating pad cord, so I took a pic.

Edited the contrast, highlights, and of course the saturation. As well as the orientation. It's originally a vertical orientated shot.

Yeah I've got an entry on my camera but won't get around to it until at least tomorrow, if not the day after. It's the third week back at uni for the year and I'm getting hit over the head with work like a ton of bricks.

Been super busy this week and tonight has been my first chance to look through the shots from my last few expeditions. Some wonderful shots I don't even remember taking. A waste when I can't remember exact processes for achieving effects.

Anyways, I had a few shots I tinkered with for this round as Mono can provide such varying results depending on the subject matter. In the end I went with a shot that uses texture and shape to really use the mono as an enhancement rather than a feature. Shot was obviosuly taken with a fast shutter speed to get the sharp ripple effects.
