All right, I have cleared out most of my average images and now I am going to post some of my more recent ones.
Orange flower: ![]() Japanese maple tree: ![]() I took this at the Portland Japanese Garden. If you do a Google Image search for "Japanese Maple", you will actually get many other photographs of this exact tree. It is very popular. Tangled web: ![]() Also taken at the garden. I made this into my banner. Grizzly bear: ![]() Flying in the sun: ![]() Pollution sure makes for great sunsets, don't it? So does running, since that's why the birds were flying; I scared them away! Sunflower with bees: ![]() Stop: ![]() Fence: ![]() Peeking snail: ![]() Up the tree: ![]() Upper north falls: ![]() Taken at Silver Creek Falls State Park, Oregon. Energy: ![]() Taken in my backyard, Oregon. Surface: ![]() Mushroom in the lawn: ![]() Hanging spider: ![]() Dandelion: ![]() Rusty fence: ![]() Leafy sidewalk: ![]() I made this one into my banner too. Leafy sky: ![]() Dewy leaf: ![]() -------------------

Love some of your most recent shots.
"Flying in the sun" is a really, really good shot. Great composition and colours and the sun is there but it isn't too bright and overwhelming. Capturing the birds in flight turns it from a good shot into a fabulous shot. Nice work. I also like "Tangled Web"- the colours and bokeh are great, and "Dewy leaf" is nice also. Keep it up. -------------------

Thanks for the comments. I was considering entering a couple of those into a fall photography contest happening here, but I am having a hard time deciding which ones are the best (I am naturally biased towards newer pics). I was going to do Dewy leaf for sure, and then either Sunflower with bees, Peeking snail, Up the tree, or Flying in the sun for the second one.

Wow, my favorite one out of all of these has to be Energy. It's really good looking and there isn't much else to describe it, really. I'm partially speechless. XD Also, Upper North Falls...wow. Amazing, man. You also have an amazing shot of that spider web. I remember trying to snap a pic of a spider web but you could barely see it. I guess that was 'cuz of my bad camera at the time. Good job, though. You have some really great shots in the thread!

Japanese Maple is definitely the best out of the pack. Such warm colors. Would have liked Up Another Tree to be sharp at the bottom and progressively get blurrier; not the blurry vignette you have there. Otherwise it'd match the pattern of your previous photos: strong crisp focus on a subject, with loads of blur in the background. I will say though, some of the photos seemed too dark and blurred for me to identify them well.

"Japanese maple in the sun" is fantastic and great light on "Sunny yard", although if only that house wasn't there, it distracts from the really nice autumn leaves. Good stuff, Chekkaa.
quote Capn DroidI wouldn't call that a vignette, it's just out of focus. But you're right, it would've been better if the in focus part was just a bit lower. -------------------
