Real Confirmations [Pages 221-251] - A Step Closer to the Truth

Well, i finally got an idea of how to get free PSX games, with my toast, but there aren't any emulators of PSX compatible with mac, the only one is well trash, ill play from when to when, but I'm convinced that an emulator with a search cheat function can be useful, if we can seek the values of the cards, and see where they are stored, it tell us, hey I AM THE ONE WHO GIVES OUT THIS CARD DUEL ME

0 LP Enemy Gameshark Code or Emulator PSX Cheat can make the LP enemy to zero.
@Skillet: It took me twice to get this card, i was very suprised, only twice. Getting rare cards didnt depend on 0 LP Enemy, believe me because i tested alot... I think it depend on the name of your card at the beginning you select..
Now when i got SND, certainly some rare cards as PUGM, GG, BEUD we can get.. I will test later, now i must prepare for my ending examination semester :T_T:

I feel like Vitas' finding may indeed prove that you can actually receive cards such as Serpent Night Dragon (who happens to be one of my favorite Duel Monsters ever )

I'm going to get ePSXe and try it out as well.. Sure, the cheat may provide some faulty information.. but I feel like the cheat just shows that it's possible.

Yeah, same here.

Keep testing with the emulators Vitas.

My emulator wouldn't come up today for some reason.

re: Real Confirmations [Pages 221-251] - A Step Closer to the Truth

I'm glad I'm not alone lol.

However, I downloaded the emulator, and now I went to download the rom.. I left it on overnight to finish, and then in the morning, I tried extracting the file, but it said it couldn't be found.

Time to try all over again.

Could someone pm me a good link to a rom?

re: Real Confirmations [Pages 221-251] - A Step Closer to the Truth

one thing that i think this kind of thing might prove is the opponent's ATK/DEF factor partially determines the card you get. since the COM started with 0 LP, no actions were taken so all of the variables that affect the card you get are held constant possibly except your and your opponent's ATK/DEF factor.

i think someone should do some emulator tests using that code such as testing if the card you place effects the card won. I suspect that it doesnt matter which card you place before you end your first "turn" and win the duel automatically.

i just started working a computing job so im kinda sick of doing computer testing. also, id appreciate it if they recorded the opponent's ATK/DEF factor when they win a rare card like Serpent Night Dragon so we can see if its abnormal.

i believe that the deck that the COM starts with in a given duel is relatively random as ive done emulator tests beginning a duel at different times and it completely changed the opponent's ATK/DEF factor.

re: Real Confirmations [Pages 221-251] - A Step Closer to the Truth

Infamous, I can already tell you that it won't make a difference of which card you play for your turn. Throughout my testing, I've finished a duel by only altering what card I played in the last turn. The only times the card I played changed the card I got was if I activated a magic card or if the monster was so weak that it resulted in me having to attack with an extra monster to win. Since neither of those cases can happen in this situation, it'll always be the same outcome.

I agree that the deck is pretty randomized. If you save your duel at the point when you are creating your deck, the opponent always has a different deck if you reload from that point. So, it doesn't have anything to do with wins or win/loss streak or anything with previous duels (that can be obviously noticed, at least). It's probably more likely using a random number generator or some time component to figure how to build each deck.

btw bakura that list is nice thought all jono gives me are crappy cards and he never wants to give me any magic cards and i didnt know you could win trakadon from him and i dont think att def factor haves anything to get a card i think the card you get is completely random

Hey guys, I'm back after a long time.

I'm interested in this 'theory' and I will test it out when I have the time. If this is the way to get rare cards then I don't know how to get them without cheating.

i figured that too but i like to double check things, especially in the case like this where the situation is so different. but yea ur right, the card you set should have no effect. what if you played a pure/field magic? that would probably change the card you win even with the Auto win on.

Welcome back DarkSonic. I'm with ya, these findings are difficult to make anything out of since the situation is impossible without gameshark. The auto wins could be examples of perfect wins since there were next to no actions in the duel (making incorrect actions makes you get an inferior card imo) and thus showing us the extremely rare drops.

re: Real Confirmations [Pages 221-251] - A Step Closer to the Truth

Hi, about a year ago I started playing again after I had stopped for about 5 years or so. I started a new file and traded over some cards from my other memory card. My deck was strong enough to beat Heishin1. As soon as I was able to fight Heishin1 in free duel I started to duel him and within my first 86 duels with him I got;
1x Kazejin
1x Suijin
1x Skull Knight
1x Harpie's Pet Dragon
1x Flame Cerebrus
1x Sanga of the Thunder
1x GaiaTFK. (I wrote these all down so I wouldn't forget about winning them)

after that I don't think I got very good cards and like a moron I didn't write down my deck list or anything, but I think my strongest cards were 2xMBD,1x Metal Zoa and 3x THTD I think the rest of my deck was mostly fusion material for MBD, THTD and maybe about 9-12 equips.

There's got to be some secret to winning rare cards.

Oh, this was on my PSone not an emulator.

re: Real Confirmations [Pages 221-251] - A Step Closer to the Truth

Using the automatic win code, I just got Harpie's Pet Dragon from Atenza after only 90 duels! This is pretty special because I never got it on the PSX after more than 1500 duels. But I'll keep doing this. And by the way, next time I get a HPD I will look at the stats as I pressed A (Delete) immediately after I got the card, and then after I realized I got a HPD so I was a bit too quick.
