I dont know about that Infamous, I just did a S-tec on Pegasus and had low life points left and I got Niwatori. And thats why I hate doing S-tecs. Im never lucky enough to get non-monster cards. I think thats part of the reason why I gave up on this game a while back, but Im back for now and hope to get something new

I have a theory that how many times your opponent combines cards affects the card you get. If an opponent combines a lot, you get a magic card, if he doesn't, you get a monster.

Well i got my first kaiser dragon last night from heishin 2 and this morning i got back to back rainbow marine mermaids, the first of this game up to 670 in my library.

vovo's s-tec rapido is a bit different from mine but it might be better. basically, ive found that triggering traps and getting defensive wins are the two stats that help move your rank towards TEC the most. it also seems that after 7 trigger traps their effect on moving your rank towards S-TEC goes down. also, it appears that discarding your cards all the way down to 0 moves your rank towards S-TEC as does getting your LP damaged. So essentially, you will want to trigger traps, get defensive wins, use pure magics, discard your hand, and take LP damage (you dont need to do all of these things necessarily, im just listing things that get you quick TECs).

The deck i use depends on the duelist. If i face simon, i would put the traps WR through House of Adhesive Tape. If i face Seto 3rd, i would put the traps WR, Acid Trap Hole, and Fake Trap in my deck. Keep a good amount of strong monsters (enough that you will get a few defensive wins) and equips if necessary and fill the rest of your deck with pure magic. one thing id like to point out tho, duelists with the Millenium Eye ability basically will never let you get any Defensive Wins since they can see your face downs. To counter this, you will need to put more Pure Magic in your deck like Raigeki, HFD, etc.

This is all i can say for getting certain TEC ranks, but i really dont know much of anything when it comes to getting rare cards in TEC when i know im already at a S/A TEC rank.
