haha word to that, YFMs still a great game cuz its replay value is about infinite since we cant get some of the cards yet XD.

Right i dont know if people remember about pushing an s pow as far as you can to get better cards, well i got my second metalzoa by using 10 cards at the end while the ai only used 6 and in 2 turns with got me an s pow. After doing 570 duels against sebek i still didnt have my 3rd mz so i used a thtd fusion deck with a load of equips, after 48 duels i got it after using 11 cards and the ai only using 6 yet again 2 turns and i got an s pow. I was stunned as i used 3 cards twice to get that and when i do that i ususally get an a rank. This is how the duel went down

1st turn: sanga+hpd+megamorph ai played mz in attack mode
2nd turn: kaminari attack+rebd+bc attacked his mz then attacked directly ai played millennium shield in def
3rd turn: aqua dragon+immortal of thunder attacked with mm tht( which i put into moon ) then attacked with bc thtd and finished him off with the last thtd.

I always had to put my first thtd in moon as i was trying for no gs advantage or disadvantage because my first 2 mz came when i didnt use any gs advan or disadvan. I took pics of all the screen shots but dont know how to get them up on here i was thinking tiny pics, is this the best way and the reason i got all 3 screen shots is for people who like looking at special arts and deck strengths like infamous for example.

ur thinkin along the lines i do chivuk. i recently did some emulator tests and figured out that as long as you only use 12 cards in the duel (all monsters that is), you get an S-POW (the # cards you can use decreases when u use magics and traps, cant remember about equips).

so you could have at max a 7 turn S-POW. there is no evidence that a 7 turn S-POW is better at getting rare cards. I personally think S-POWs in like 2 turns have never got me anything very rare. If you let Duel Master K beat you up, he wins in like 3-5 turns usually. Id shoot for that range, thats just my advice tho.

as for doing the tests you are talking about, the only sure fire answers come from using an emulator to test outcomes of the same duel. there are so many combinations of wins so its difficult to determine what you should do to get rares other than getting S/A ranks.

Well infamous i have been dueling kepura lately and something was bugging me why do i duel using 10 cards and the ai 6 and get an s pow and than other times i get an a pow??? Then i managed to do 2 duels in a row that were very similar the first 1 i got an spow 10 to 6 cards used the second an a pow 10 to 6 cards used the only difference at the end was that i put 1 card facedown and didnt fuse a mbd. So i was concretrating on not putting cards facedown as (maybe) this would lower my rank. I also remember dueling nitemare and getting an a pow after only using 9 to 6 ratio again 1 facedown card at the end.

Your theories about the special arts and deck strengths to me are the best ones without a shadow of a doubt and thats were the weak deck comes in, if you weaken your deck from the standard pow one everyone seems to use to say a thtd fusion deck the fusions and equips that count up at the special arts page at the end could be the reason why alot of people think a weaker deck is the key, i mean i really didnt feel close to getting my 3rd MZ then i changed decks and got it 48 duels later plus 5 zoas. Saying all this i remember a duel against heishin 2 were i just played 3 monsters in a row winning in a ratio of 7 to 6 cards and i got kazejin!!! So maybe just maybe there is and always has been an element of luck as i have repeated the same duel to get crap on a number of people.

This game is without a doubt one of the hardest to master in terms of 100% completion and finally the GM thing from gamefaqs i hope is true coz people keep saying they have it as well as other cards its just a matter of timing to me with the cards in your hand, deck strengths and how you play it.

the reason i think weak deck theory could work is because i remember struggling to get high ranks early in the game like against the tournament opponents. maybe someone should start a new game and play the game as if they didnt know who gives what cards (rotating duelists). it would be a more realistic way of playing.
