I get my curls trimmed about once a month. It's pretty touch getting the balance right as letting it grow too long makes the curls look bad and sometimes I find.



It's not the greatest picture as it's a little dark but that's what mine looks like about 2-3 weeks after having it trimmed. I find it sometimes grows a little too much outwards and that basically is a sign to tell me I need it trimmed.

Getting the curls right is tough but trust me, it pays off. Nobody can get enough of my curls anyway.

I wish i had an Afro lol or some diffrent hairstyle suggestions anyone?

A mate of mine has hair like yours, but his grows out into almost an afro. I would recommend a good straightening gel (one of the ones you put through your hair then blowdry to get it straight) to put through your hair if you want to grow it long inside of out lol. It won't make it straight, but it would tame it a bit more.
