Look at their history after Shu fell, horrible.

Thats the one thing i hate about these DW games, they reflect on how 200some officers lived and fought epic battles, but i can probably guarrentee that they(some) werent even close to the attitudes portayed in the game.

Yeah right, i havent read the book, but Shu could of easily won, had wu not TEAMED up with WEI, shu would of won.
The reason he lost at Fan, was because of the 2 defecting people.
Compare Shu officers to the wu officers, which had more history and were superior to the other?

Liu bei was easily defeated because of a noobish fire attack....the most cowardly tactic of all.
it was a surefire win, if dw4 is accurate, then they should of had the watchtower guarded.....
I dont recall shu asking for an alliance, though i do recall them asking for aid, after being attacked by wei, which was refused i believe.
Also, dont forget that zhang fei also was killed by wu, so dont forget that when your thinking of the sworn brothers.

To kill ONE ambush of armor troops is hardly anything
I recall guan yu being warned, theres a chain of events leading to zhang fei's demise.
Guan yu dies, liu bei ignores all advice and preps for war, zhang fei dies because his subs. feared his anger.

alright, he probably did listen, but, if u are guan yu, and u see a perfect oppurtunity for a flood attack, at one of wei's most heavily guarded forts along the border, are you going to actually think about wu attacking u from behind? no, its very unlikely, also, another factor that contributed was liu feng, that *bleep*ing traitor, he may not of defected, but to me, he did mentally, not sending reinforcements is just as bad as fu shi ren and mi fang.
I find it funny how liu feng was executed, as was the traitors after they tried to return to ahu. idiots....

Thats probably why in empires they are always electric, the sworn brothers is possibly the saddest tale in the 3 kingdoms/han dynasty...

everyone does, but shu HAD the advantage, the best generals, good land, i could go on, but the point is, its very saddening because this all happened, to some extenet...

Its complicated, but fan castle wasnt the reason wu attacked....
it was always about jing...
its hard to to remember, but this stemmed after chi bi, liu bei took jing, not sun quan, then when liu bei needed wu to attack he fei at the same time so he could take han zhong...he offered to give a piece of jing back.
Its even harder to recall what zhang fei did, i doubt there was competiton, but if there was, itd have to be southern campaign, i remember from a dw3 demo that he was in the attack...
Jing was the BEST farming land in the entire south=loads of food=$$
