	it usually depends on the officer you try to get.Some will take anywhere from like 6-9 items.The majority of the time its 8 or 9.You can always save before you do it so if they don't join,you can re-load the game. -------------------

	Well most officers usualy take 8 or 9 of a random item you have. 	if you go the tyrant route you'll have no problems.Produce and item then use despotism and you will get enough of that item to max you out to 9.Then once you get the officer,use despotsim again and you'll have all your items back.Tyranny rocks,except in real life. -------------------
