It's official. I don't see why they would need to make a new one when they could just focus on PS4 but it really does not look all that bad. If I ever needed a new PS3 id pick one up. Different pricses and bundels for every region, north american one in link.

That's an amazing post. It is official then. The design looks great, I might need a PS3 after some years but then I would pick up the PS4. I think they are working on the PS4 but they just release better version of PS3 because it is their flagship console and would remain in the market for a decade or two.

Yeah, CoD is good enough on the Wii and I mean there are a lot of people on the Wii playing Black Ops online but the PSN or the XBL are good for online gaming and because they are focused on the online gaming.

I might get it too, PS4 wouldn't be released anytime soon, even if it does, the price would be absurd and if my PS3 stops working, I would need a PS3 to play my 39 games and counting XD

It looks nice. I'm glad it's a top-loader. Relying on electricity to give me my disc back was never a good idea.

What were they thinking when pricing the 12GB model though?

Likely was done because hardware sales are at their strongest in their twilight years. With the Wii U coming out, and the Wii's own advantage was it's lower price, it's like reverse roles with the Wii U selling for 350 and the ps3 dropping for 270-ish.

Going to wait for the anorexic edition and trade in my 2nd slim. Hopefully the white AC3 bundle version gets released stateside.

Looks lovely, but it doesn't really have anything new does it? It's just another slim. It's not something to sell my phat for.

I guess I'm the only one here who doesn't like the design, I know it is cheap but it looks it as well, doesn't really appeal to me, I'm happy with my normal slim until the PS4 is released, unless of course it plays up on me. The thing I'm most confused about is why they wouldn't give it backwards compatibility, I know that would make it "less slim" but at least that way there's more appeal for people to buy it, as it is the only way I see people buying it is if their phats die...
