redneonfish, forgot to mention: with the speedruns, i suggest going through each chapter very slowly first (on easy mode preferably) and looking for shortcuts / ways to skip past enemies / etc etc and memorising it all. Unlike the time trials you can afford to make some mistakes, but you still don't have that much time to mess around with, and dying will probably cost you the run. A huge thing to remember is, if there's a ladder or pipe that takes a while to climb, there's probably (not all the time though) a quicker way of getting up there. Mostly this could be as simple as doing a 180 wall jump off the wall opposite the ladder, or a wallrun jump or something like that. So look out for those.

Yeah i think it's normal. And i don't think you can download ghosts for speedruns no, but i could be wrong. I wouldn't see the point in doing so, because the chapters are a lot longer than time trials, and with lots of different routes to go down, you'd probably just lose the ghost in the first 10 seconds and never ever see it again. That happens on the time trials if you download the guy in first place anyway XD

Mnmfan, you're spot on. It's an ingenious little game, I think I'd probably go as far to say that it's the most underrated game of this generation. It's such a shame that there's never been a sequel.

RE5 plat was pretty easy even with the stupid AI partner. Professional was a pain though, again, thanks to the AI partner.

Indeed... Either A.I. - Sheva stands there looking at the enemy about to pummel her face in, or she shoots me in the back... Or decides to take on a group of enemies as I'm about to die.... Unlimited ammo helps, but the only way to play RE5 is co-op.

Nonetheless, I finished the Veteran playthrough, found the last two treasures, got and upgraded all weapons and S'd every chapter today, which got me the last figurine.

All that's left are the Professional playthrough, 30 kills with long bow, the max combos, killing a jumping majini w/ headshot, deflecting an arrow with knife, killing 3 majini w/ an oil canister and stabbing a licker in the heart...

Any tips for fighting the Ndesu on Pro, DarshD?

What Hk said is right. I played the Ndesu level with HK on veteran and it took us 10 tries to beat him. It seems that when you play with the A.I., the Ndesu is more forgiving and our A.I. partner's aiming is accurate and knows when to cool the gun down. Not to mention, the A.I. partner spams the fire relentlessly so if you are good enough then you can beat the level solo. I've beaten all difficulty modes solo that too, twice.

And tbh, no matter what you think of infinite ammo, it is highly recommended. You need to have at least 1 weapon with infinite ammo. If you wish, you can get the infinite Rocket Launcher and spam your way through the entire campaign, the pro mode is ridiculous and cheap way to make it a fake and pathetic 'survival horror', so why not end the frustration by beating a ridiculous level with some in-game help?

First Aim sprays take up plenty of space, so, if you can. try to get plenty of Brown or Gold eggs in your inventory and equip your A.I. partner with sprays and herbs so she can heal you.

Ndesu pacified on Pro. Took me 10 or so minutes (what's the big deal with Ndesu on Pro? That was easy).. Just finished chapter 3-1. I can already taste the RE5 Platinum.. Yum. 5 more trophies to go.
