So, GTA III (PS2 Classic) coming to PS Store next week...

Not a HD remaster, no trophies, just the PS2 game re-released in digital form. It'll be in the higher pricegroup of the PS2 Classics, with a 10€/$ pricetag.

So, who here will buy it?

For me, it's maybe. If it were a HD remaster, i'd definitely get it, but being "just a port", I'm not so sure.

If this was a HD update with trophies I would buy it no matter the price. BUT I still have it for PS2 and PC so I'm not wasting money on a exact port.

Yeah, HD remakes would rock.. Here's hoping. Like I said, I'd definitely get the HD versions, should they get released. I don't see why not, seeing the other HD remastered games out there.

What would be an even bigger kick in the balls would be if Rockstar decided in a few months or so to announce an HD collection when this is already on the store as PS2 classics etc.

That would be an even bigger insult, I pray for a HD collection but if they did everyone who'd buy the PS2 classic would get so pissed off. XD

Tbh although you're all asking for a HD collection, i think there''d be more upset people if they did release one, rather than a port. Fair enought trophies but die hard fans of the series would want it as it is, unchanged.

Having owned it for 4 different platforms(PS2, Xbox Classic, PC and Android) i wont be getting it. It's on my phone right now, and is on the Android store for about £1. I might play it sometime come to think of it.

I don't understand how you can think that.

I'm almost as die hard a fan of GTA (pre-GTAIV that is) as you can get and I would squeel like a little girl if A HD collection came out. Hell it would probably excite me a hundred times more than any new release game.

Now if you think HD collection means a remake then even still you would be dead wrong. I would absolutely love an actual graphical remake. The only way I would get upset is if they got new voice-overs and new songs.

Granted, most of you have gamed longer than me, but in my experience, when a legendary game such as GTA is changed, even in the slightest, it causes an uproar. The GTA community haven't had anything to moan about for ages, this would be the perfect thing.

Obviously. But like i said, the tiniest of changes and they'll be complaining. But as is in gaming, there'll always be something to moan about.
