	Log in to remove this sponsored message My PS3 shut off randomly while i was on it. the power light started blinking red and when i try to restart it it starts up green , flashes yellow once and then blinks red from then on. Is there anyway to fix this?

	Worst thing ever... my original 60GB PS3... flashing red light. Have to send in to Sony, pay $129.00 + tax for the (hopeful) repair. Sending it in and crossing my fingers.

	Hi there, Common problem with the PS3 you have a couple of ways to get that sorted. if it's been bought less than 12 months ago, give it back to yiur retailer who should fix it for free or give you a new one. or if it's more than 12 months old, send it in to Sony...they will charge you...around $150 plus delivery. or you can buy some good software that seems to sort out most, if not all, of the PS3's problems. I too had the 60GB. I called Sony and They are offering a deal to send it in with $99+tax(came out to $105 and some change) and they replace it with the 120GB slim. Only for the US only tho. But i wish you luck with your repair.

But i wish you luck with your repair. Yeah I had a similar offer but I thought it was $89.00 for the replacement option. I wanted MY PS3. Well what I got was a cartoon like replacement. Sony didn't even try to repair MY PS3 and get it back to me. They instead shipped that PS3 as soon as they got mine. It has raised On/Off and Eject buttons and a colorful PS3 Logo under the Blu-ray tray. Not the all black touch sensor. All of my stuff is gone forever. As a requirement I had to send my PS3 in with the original 60Gb drive. When I replaced the drive they sent (also a 60Gb) with the 360Gb I had in my PS3 my only option was to reformat the drive. POOF! All is lost! Thanks Sony! I looked all over my house for a back up I'm sure is here but no luck yet. So... take my advice and back up your PS3 and store the back up on several devices. While I can re-download many of the games I downloaded from the PS Store the TV series are nowhere to be found. Besides when compared to XBox Live (Corvette download speeds) the PS3 is a snail. I am so disappointed.
