	Log in to remove this sponsored message While talking with jbh on PSN text chat I was talking about listening to music while surfing the net. Well he can't do that. So I am now curious to know who can or can't do it. Ok so it seems to be a slim PS3 feature because I have the slim and he doesn't ------------------- Life is a privilege and you don't deserve it!

	Waaaaaaait... I remember there was an issue.. some odd setting with audio filters or something that eat up more memory and won't allow that simultaneous playback. Try making sure the audio and/or music settings in the system menu aren't set to anything more taxing than usual. See if you can find anything related to bitrates. Make sure they're set to the 128kbps range under Output/MP3. See if that works. ------------------- \O/ \| \| PRAISE THE SUN

	Gamesta100 Can't listen to music and use the browser anymore, at least on the new 320Gb slim I have. Browser on, trying to put music on, it asks if I want to close the browser. Pushing the PS - button while playing music, it asks if I want to stop the music. So, it seems a no-can-do, at least for me. Still remember the time you could have a video playing on the background while doing whatever on the XMB... Edit: Jul 22, 12 8:23am

Music Settings > Output Frequency > 48 khz The higher khz puts more strain on the PS3, just like higher FPS on a game. 	Not that big of a deal.. I prefer my tunes in high quality. Funny, though, that it can play custom soundtracks while gaming, but the internet browser and hq-music is a no go. I was just giving Gamesta a reply, anyway.

	Problem solved. I bought an mp3 player. Still, I remember the early days when a PS3 could do anything... Play music regardless of the frequency.. Play videos on the background while doing other things on the xmb... Funny how the features have dropped little by little.. What's even more funny is that the tracks that don't work with internet on or even on the xmb, work just fine when playing a game with custom soundtrack support.
