samwise995 it didn't revolutionize anything. You can't say something like 'games before it weren't epic' when that's simply not true. All Uncharted did was make its single-player 'cinematic'. The gameplay wasn't new in UC1 at all. There's been plenty of cover-based shooters before it.

Sure it did. Games didn't have movie-like moments before it, or not any that I played anyway. Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II (which was a disappointing game because of its short length, but that's not the point here), inFamous 2, and Batman: Arkham City, all games with incredibly epic moments, were all released a year or more after Uncharted 2. I'm sure there were some games with epic movie-like moments (inFamous 1 is the only one I can think of prior to Uncharted 2, but it was after Uncharted 1). And yes, there were cover based third person shooters before Uncharted 1. But that's just like saying there were RPG's before Skyrim. Just because a game is in the same genre doesn't mean it can't be unique. I just thought that Uncharted played very unique from any other game I've ever played.

Again, that's my opinion. You have a right to yours. Obviously mine is better, but we can't all be perfect can we?
