	Slim by far. Its lighter, and has less chance of the ylod, not to mention more energy efficent -------------------

	If I was going to buy a playstation 3 now, I think I would go with the slim version. I bought mine at launch, and has worked ever since..Unlike the Xbox, on on my 6th.

	The slim is better as it got a less chance of YLOD, looks better and lighter. The fan is louder which is the only negative.

	Never even looked at the slim version. :o My fat PS3 has been working consistently for the past 4 years (touch wood). ^^ So I'll just say the old one is better. :P

I've had a 40gb fat and a 320gb slim and i'd say the slim. I prefer the fats looks slightly, but the slim wins in less noise, less space, less heat, bigger harddrive and less YLOD chance. All the practical reasons basically -------------------

	Slim by far - my uncle has a big PS3 and it's a pretty heavy machine. Also the price put me off so I waited until the slim came out to get one. Also the slim is less prone to the YLOD I believe which is even better.

	The fan in the slim is a lot quieter than the one in the fat. This on personal experience. And to answer the question, Slim, by far. It's smaller, lighter, more energy efficient and I think it looks better. Having a bigger hard drive as a default is good too, even though you can always get an even bigger one than the 320Gb.

Never had a phat but Im rather happy with my slim for the same reasons as everyone else, its even quieter than my wii(considering its a launch model). Not fully backwards compatible but close enough and ps2s are cheap these days(still have my phat ps2 anyway), though the phat gets bonus points for the iconic look. ------------------- MHtri ID-W925FG US server
