	Log in to remove this sponsored message Hiya guys I have just bought a PS3 the old one not the slim version from ebay seems to work just fine but im having issues with the output, firstly unlike my xbox i cant just place the red/yellow/white leads into the front of my tv as nothing appears what i had to do was run it through my video which seemed to solve the issue. So I dont have a HDMI TV at all its a old BIG square Sanyo thing before jesus was born I think, anyways I got the PS3 up and running but for some reason everything seems to have a green hue to it ie my farrari in F12011 is greenish brown lol. I looked in system settings, my video output is set at res 576i but if im being honest I dont have a clue what to do help me guys if there is anything i can do i shall try

	Well you said you bought it off ebay so it might be that the PS3 is set to HDMI/HD instead of SD and that might be why nothing would show up on the tv when you plugged it in. The green hue problem may actually be because it's plugged into the video and not the tv. I can't remember how to do it (because I've never had to do it) but there is a way to reset the PS3 to play on an SDTV which may fix your problem of not being able to play the PS3 through your video. ------------------- Life is a privilege and you don't deserve it!

	Well when i run the PS3 through the TV as you would any other device via the scart socket at the back all i got was a black screen nothing no sound or anything, looked online suggested trying it through video which worked but obv have the green hue

	I tried to hold the button till it beeped a few times for a re set but just re starts as normal

	also on a side note my connection scart at the back is pretty loose due to the age of the TV but I have run my DVD/Xbox fine through this before, cant seem to figure out the issue tho ill let you guys brainstorm for me if u will

	Ok tried just abt everything i can figure out i just tried the PS2 with the same scart lead connection and thats got perfect picture so does anyone have any ideas? the system runs fine just this dam green tinge

	Please edit your last post instead of posting multiple times PS2 working on the tv doesn't mean a PS3 will work properly on it.It may just be that your tv is to old to play a PS3 properly.I bought an old tv off a friend once that would play PS2, DVD players etc but it would not play the PS3. Unfortunately it seems that you might need to buy a new tv if you wish to play the PS3. If you have a newer tv in the house you can try the PS3 on that one and if it works then it's just your tv that won't play it but if it doesn't work then it's the PS3. ------------------- Life is a privilege and you don't deserve it!

Simply reset your PLAYSTATION 3 to restore the default SD setting in the following way: turn off the PLAYSTATION 3 system then press and hold the power button for approximately 5 seconds until you hear a beep. You can then use the Settings category in the XMB to configure your Display settings manually.

	Hey boyd, I done that I held it in for 5 sec and tbh its not asked me to do any settings or anything i assume the XMB is like the xbox dashboard right? where u have display options, and the like? Im not sure what im supposed to have to out put at etc, all i know is my tv is a SDTV not a HDTV if anyone could list what i should run the settings at i would be happy sorry to be a pain
