No no no Kesh...Although Aeirou is completely right about AC1 being so-so, and AC2 rocking, the new AC, Revelations, is coming with AC1 on the same disc (PS3 only) (source here) So I would just start off with AC2 then play brotherhood, and by the time you are done with both, you will be able to pick up Revelations for a little cheaper than launch price...make sure to play AC1 before Revelations though...looks like it will have more to do with AC1 than AC2 and AC:B...tying up/bringing together story of all three where as AC2 and AC:B barely mention Altair. I myself started with AC2, and haven't yet played the first as I heard it wasn't even that great...I will play it when it get it for free with Revelations though.

But I want to say that DA:O isn't nearly as good...IDK how a dev like Bioware can go from great to so-so and back again. Also, I want Scarecrow to keep in mind that he sould buy new. You get a bunch of extra stuff, but most importantly, you get a animated comic that not only explains the events of Mass Effect 1, but lets you choose a number of key decisions form it that affect ME2. That's what got me to buy the game, as I had never played ME1 before.

But it costs like $60 on PSN when you can grab it for only $36 on amazon, or $40 at gamestop. PLus, it takes up quite a bit of hard drive space.

IMO, the story and party system wasn't on par with Mass Effect. I also didn't like the combat much, but maybe that's because I'm more of a shooter guy than a hack n slash guy. And Mass Effect is a trilogy, all three stories are intertwined. It's more than just a series of sequels (Uncharted?). Just like, say, the original Star Wars trilogy, you can't compare the three because one is an introduction, one is an in-between connecting the first and last, and the third wraps up everything. So if you look at the games out so far as a whole, (ME1 and ME2), the story, IMO, is much deeper than DA:O.

	It really depends on how you look at it. Dragon Age Origins ws more fun to me than my time on ME2 even though both of them were great. These are some differences I caught as far as story telling.. In Dragon Age Origins, not only do people react to weather or not you are good or evil, but they also react to your race. In Mass Effect, you are also shepard, so only your morality matters. In Dragon Age Origins, when you get a side quest, the lore and events of the world are usually involved and keep you immersed. I had a problem with immersion during side quests in ME2 because the citizens of the galazy don't believe or care about the threats of the galaxy.. so it was like dealing with break-ins and thugs and then back to the threat of the galaxy. I still REALLY loved mass effect, but I don't think you can really put Dragon Age: Origins on any bar below fantastic. Graphics were a bit down, but the game was still great. Now, if you wanna rope in Dragon Age 2.... Well, I wont stop you. That game was totally crappy. -------------------
