Oni on PS2. I wasnt part of the internet (hehe) back then, so i didnt really know how much hype or love it got. I dont even know what reviews it got. All i know is i have never heard of it on the internet, yet it was such a badass game.

I have a friend who is a complete Aliens and Predator nut and he refused to believe the game was crap.I said that maybe all the bad reviews meant it really was a crappy game but he still refused to belive that it could be bad.Then he bought the game and he agreed that it was crap

Some games which I loved but believe were overlooked, or 'forgotten', by most gamers are:

Heavenly Sword - Short but very sweet (loved the use of Sixaxis).

Mirror's Edge - I avoided this at first because of its fairly average Metacritic score. After playing it, I came to the conclusion that this must be the most underrated game of the current-gen. Great, challenging and rewarding gameplay, and I love the sterilised, futuristic aesthetics.

The Darkness - The controls were a bit ropey (felt like you were wielding a gun on the end of a long stick), and the side-missions were tedious and unnecessary. However, not only was it still an enjoyable game, but it also has by far the best, most imaginative and most original depiction of Hell that I have ever come across in any medium (including the works of Dante, Milton, and Bosch).

Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts – I never played the N64 versions so I’m not part of the “How dare Rare deviate from the platform genre” mob, but I thought this was a great game.

Burnout Paradise is fantastic though, fairly certain I still see people playing that. Ditto RE5, I'm replaying with Move and I have no troubles playing with a random.

I've been put off buying Paradise because I'd read that in order to restart a race or event you actually have to drive all the way back to the start. Is that true?

I loved Revenge, and I think it's essential in arcade/action racers that the player can stop and restart an event (especially time trials) as quickly as possible. The thought of doing a race, getting halfway through and realising that I can't win, but then having to drive all the way back to the start line for another attempt really puts me off!

That's how it used to be but they patched it so that you can choose to restart the race.

I did enjoy MNR for the first week or so but it was mainly because of the track editor. But then, after making a few (imo) brilliant tracks but getting zero downloads and zero recognition I kind of lost interest.
I just didn't see the point of spending a couple hours making a track and then only 1 or 2 friends play it and then it gets lost amongst the million drift tracks on the servers.
The load times didn't help either (even after the patch).
