Oh, i know you have. But if an individual refuses to learn, you have to keep reinforcing the message over and over again until they finally get it; and FB really seems to have a learning problem when it comes to this sort of thing.

Like i said, were i in your shoes, i'd be just as much at a loss. However, it's rather apparent that something must be done.

Having had BFBC2 mentioned by FB in his PM (which i do agree with him should have never been posted Mnmfan), i feel is should bring my two cents into this. I have posted & discussed matter surrounding BFBC2 with FB, and i myself have never seen the side to him witch so many of you have posted about(I am NOT saying that the side doesn't exist).

The reason i feel i was spam/flame free in BFBC2 was because the majority of the regulars over there, did not know FB before his first post there and so he had no 'history'. Without his 'history' we were to make our decisions on him about his posts alone (witch were quite good i seem to remember), and because only a few of the regulars know of his 'history' none of the problems carried over.

I think a few people have formed an opinion about FB (rightly so) and carried this over to other forums witch i believe is not right. I would never carry or want someone to carry a problem with me over to another forum, problems in one forum should stay in that forum.

Well I'm glad I allowed this discussion because even though it didn't help FB it did help Red 9 and I to assess the situation and find out what the rest of the forum think.
In these 4 pages 3 or 4 people have admitted that FB is the reason why they stopped visiting the forum. God knows how many others have also left because of FB but simply never posted in this thread because.. well because they've left.
Another few posts say the forum has deteriorated and is simply not a friendly place to visit anymore because of FB.

On the other hand a few of you have no problem with FB and don't see what all the fuss is about.

But the way I see it is that if there are so many people leaving the forum and if the forum is turning into a shit forum because of FB then something needs to be done.
Banning him may seem unfair especially that he hasn't broken any rules but a disruptive member can be just as bad as a rule breaker.
Is it fair to allow FB carry on the way he is and let him ruin the forum for the rest of us?

Shadow Guard, I understand how you feel, and perhaps I would even be inclined to agree with you if all the people you are referring to as going on the attack with Final Blade were habitually troublesome members. Look, let's be honest. We are not talking about serial flamers and tollers here! We are talking about longstanding members with stellar reputations on this site, some of us for almost a decade. Look at who we are talking about here: Mnmfan, jeterocks, Red 9, Byzantine, me, and on and on! Look, if we were all some exclusive clique or we were guilty of flaming people on a regular basis, your point might be more valid, but there is simply NO HISTORY of this from the majority of people that hate FB! This is isolated only to him.

And, there is another commonality here you are not aware of: We were ALL people who defended Final Blade and took his back for a while. We are people who have had to deal with his antics for so insanely long, and have grown so tired of his behavior, that we ended up disliking him! But this is ONLY AFTER going really out of our way to try to help him only to have him throw it back into our faces over and over and over and over again, just like he did with the PM to Mnmfan!

Look, I would say that Mnmfan probably should not have posted a private message in a public forum, and that was an indiscretion on his part. But you know what? I can totallly see why he did it.

Look, Shadow, I respect your opinion, but you need to understand the incredibly LONG history that many of us have had with Final Blade. many of us being mods who have had the displeasure of having to be FORCED to deal with his insane Froot Looping ad nauseam, ad infinitum! The people who are being the hardest on FB are the very people who were strongly in his corner for a long time! Ask the members of the GTA: Social Forum about my tirades in the forum to leave Final Blade alone! But, in the end, it was his fault all along.

Plus, not for anything, but nothing in any of my posts was flaming, trolling, spamming, or even particularly insulting. They were jibes I posted as I rolled my eyes reading the inane drivel he wrote. Even Mnmfan agreed I was not doing anything wrong, but he was also (like I was at one time!) trying to help Final Blade, who then managed to throw it back into HIS FACE even while Mnmfan was defending him!! I mean, come on!

Sorry, but while you may think my answers about him were glib (and you would be right) I see it as a pressure valvle! Because what I wanted to do is post a string of obsenities insulting him and flaming his ass all over the forum! Instead, I settled for a few harmless "Froot Loop" comments, that, to be perfectly honest, were a lot more true than they were funny! And that is truly sad.

I would have to disagree with the idea that the kinds of jokes I make at his exense makes things worse, as well as making it worse for a lot of people. Look, if I was flaming the shit out of him or calling him the stupidest person alive (as you said) then you would be right. There is no call for that. But the truth is that my posts, which also deal with the topic, take a fun jab at the same time. In addition, I think more people, were they to be honest, would say that my comments are so satirical and ACCURATE that they act as a sort of safety valve, and make them go from wanting to KILL Final Blade to actually laughing at the parody I often make of the situation.

Again, I see it as a sort of a safety valve, and the truth is, you have no idea how many PM's I get from absolute strangers about posts like that. Not that it makes you wrong, because being in the minority is not always a bad thing. I just think that it's kind of like, "well, we still have Final Blade to deal with, but at least that comment which didn't flame him but poked fun was funny."

Considering how this thread has been escalating over the last couple of pages, this is almost a letdown.

This thread will go down in neoseeker history as the last stand against FB.
