Are there any old or new games on the ps3 that are simular to GTA

Don't overlook the original Saint's Row, either. It may not be as jam-packed with features as SR2, but the game is damned good, and can be had dirt cheap. Also, Crackdown is supposed to be very good, and Crackdown 2 is coming out this summer. Believe it or not JAK 2 and JAK 3 are very GTA'ish and sandboxes, though in the JAK games, you steal hover cars not cars with wheels lol.

I played about 20% of that game and gave it up out of sheer boredom. Technically, though, it is the GTA of The Simpsons.

Infamous, Prototype & Assassins Creed 2.

Infamous is awesome. Can't wait for Infamous 2.
Prototype sucked.
Assassins Creed 2 is a great sandbox game too.

Simpsons Hit and Run is a PS2 game and he specifically asked for PS3 games.

I 100%'d it! I loved that game!

As for GTA-like games, I've played both of The Godfather games and they're both well worth playing. Very similar formula to GTA.

I beat Simpsons: H&R, but never 100%'d it.

@OP: We'd be able to give you better options if you gave us more details. By "games like GTA", do you mean any open-world game or a game with car-jacking and shooting in it?
