BFBC2 casues my PS3 to freeze?

Twice in as many days my PS3 has frozen due to playing BFBC2 online, now I'm posting this here because i don't think its the game as I've heard nothing else about it. I think 9but i hope it isn't0 my PS3 i've played MW2 and JC2 on recently have had no problems. I've had my PS3 for about 2 years, its in well ventilated room although it was on almost all day on both the days it froze.

Not sure if you have a fat or slim ps3, but with my slim, if I play 2-3 rounds and I cycle really fast through the stats pages at round end and whatnot my ps3 will freeze. No reason why yet.

Another problem I've had though was my sound completely outputting in a corrupt format. My pioneer receiver will just start switching from dolby to dts and back and forth really quick. Which is obviously coming from the ps3. So I have no idea what it is with this game.

It's really fun, but it is prone to glitches once and a while. Sorry I cant help.

Bumping this because I'm having a similar problem and starting to worry. My PS3 just recently has begun to freeze uncontrollably, it comes out of the blue and actually stops the entire system. I'm forced to pull out the plug or click the power button. I'm not sure if it's the game (mw2) or the system itself, maybe a virus or something. Although in-game right before any of this ever started, I've been getting sucked into hacked lobbies and modded games. I've tried everything I could think of including a system restore but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

PS: Freezes strictly occur in the middle of a game and not during internet browsing, etc. Also, the freezes aren't rare at all, I can get at least three or four a day; that's one every two games or less.

Do you guys own the older fat PS3, because I had this problem all the time with my old 60GB PS3 untill he just gave up completely.

Hardly had a problem with my silm except with New Vegas but thats the game

Only game that never let me play is RDR)= it freezes everytime I loaded it>.< cnt even plyed a single thing. Well that was last time, nw I'm planning on buying it again and if it's still the same, I'll exchange it for Splatterhouse.
