They'll have to patch it out in a firmware update regardless, since it'll likely be scheduled to happen ever four years (leap year error?). The fact that it knocked off so many PS3 users, and also corrupted trophy data pretty much demands an official firmware fix. For now, the problematic date error seems to have worked itself out, though some people are still reporting really slow PSN load times.

Okay the last time I synced my trophies was 2 two days ago. I did not even turn on my ps3 throughout the whole day this problem occurred, would I still lose those trophies?

I lost inFAMOUS and CoD5 trophies, and possibly some game save files... How do you actually sync files?

Everytime you obtain new trophies and compare them with your friends, it syncs to the server and save the data of what you obtained trophy wise. There is another method but requires you to not be in game, where it says trophy under game press triangle and sync to server. All the trophies should be fine then.

Why would it happen again in two years? The Leap year actually is in the year 2012, so it'll happen again after four years. They've got four years to fix it... so expect something in 2014, and not before.
