	wrong, when the PS3 gets the yellow light thats when its F'ed up, its probably overheating so let it cool for about 2 to 3 hours

	^YLOD is the HDD failure I think. This issue is the very same one that I had, unfortunately. Nothing to do but get it fixed. Unless it can be solved by moving your PS3, there is the possibility that your PS3 is way too close to a wall or something else blocking its vent(s). 	DO NOT play your ps3 for another day to let it fully cool down. I made a mistake of carrying on playing it then I got the YLOD. ------------------- Why did I move here? I guess it was the weather or the...Ah I don't know, that thing. That magic.

	Also make sure your system is getting enough air ventilation. If the rear and right side of the system is blocked, it will overheat and force shut down. -------------------

If it has a blinking red light, it is done. Dead PS3 walking. It will need repair or replacement. My 60gig did the same thing 3 times in a row before it was replaced with a brand new 60gig from Sony. -------------------

	Mine done the same, it flashed yellow once then went to red and kept flashing red. I let it cool down for a day, i turned it on, went green for 2 secs, then it flashed yellow once then went to red again. Its currently in the hardware shop getting looked at, when they've had a look and know whats wrong they 're going to ring me and tell me how much it is and if i want them to fix it. I was hoping it wasn't the HDD -------------------

	The same thing happened to my 60gb PS3. I payed 500.00 bucks for that thing on sale! It lasted about 2.5 years. I rang up sony and they told me I need a credit card to send it in for either a replacement or repair. So that idea was scrapped. I took the hdd out and it was caked with dust. I noticed I needed a special screwdriver to remove the shell(after I removed the sticker which magically changed from do not remove,etc to VOID) so I tore it open, unscrewed what I could and it was dust city.
