Uncharted: Drake's Fortune The Movie

I was browsing the internet and came across something interesting. It simply states that Columbia Pictures plans to make the game into a movie mirroring the story from the game rather closely. I usually don't think it to be a good idea to go from a game to a movie as they usually suck on big screen, but the game has such a good story that I think they can make it decent, if not good, but they need to do it the right way.
Thoughts?

High chance of it losing funding like most other big game films and being put on hold until the funds come up.

Why is it all the potential good game movies get cut but all the crappy ones get pushed out? ):

Yeah. Redwolf, think about what Doom 3 is like; walking around dark hallways with a flashlight and guns killing monsters every so often. Then imagine watching that as a movie except there aren't many monsters and you pretty much just watch the actors in the dark lol.

It's actually very unusual for studios to even consider making a movie after just 1 game. I can't think of a single movie/game that was made after just 1 game.

That's probably a good sign for Uncharted.

Think about it,
Tomb Raider, Mortal Kombat, Doom, Mario Bros, Max Payne, Hitman and Street Fighter ALL had at least 2 or 3 games out before Studios even took notice.

There are at least 4 movies already like this exactly.
Its called Indiana Jones >.<

And that's exactly why I didn't like Uncharted. I hate Indiana Jones.
