General PS3 Trophy Challenges [Game Thread] - Page 2

I forgot to mention I'm unsure whether I'll get Red Alert 3.

Next to the scoreboards it should register HOW MANY games you have played also.

How can someone win if they don't have the game?

I know that in one week it's unlikely you'll get platinum. That's what makes the challenge challenging. It's not about getting platinum, it's about getting as many as possible within a set time period.

Yes the scoreboard will display a lot of useful info when the challenge is over.

I'm toying with the idea of ditching the dates completely. With games being released at different times around the world it's hard to give everyone the exact same time period.
What I might do instead is give people 7 days from the time they earn their first trophy.

I'll see how this challenge goes first.

I like this idea much better because it gives some of us broke ass bastards a chance to get in the comp with some of the older games as well. Like for instance I have Far Cry 2......it's still wrapped. So it would be cool if I could come on here say "I'm starting this challenge today" and a week later give the results. I should be getting Killzone 2 soon also.

Otherwise you will always most likely only have a couple of people doing a challenge at once. If you open up the time-line a bit everyone gets a chance to compete.

I like the idea too but it needs to be tweaked a bit. If we let people start earning trophies for games whenever they want I'll be always updating the scoreboard.
What I'm gonna do instead is give people 1 month to join the challenge for a particular game.
So in other words if I start a challenge right now people will have one month to get the game and start earning trophies. However the time period for earning games will be 1 week or whatever from the time they earn their first trophy depending on the game. as long as they start earning trophies within the one month time period their score will count. If they get a game after the month has expired they're out of luck and their trophies won't count.

So is that a good idea?

Sure. I will jump in when I can. Any idea on how you plan to tackle the more lengthy trophy games......specifically online trophies that can take months to get?? Not really a huge concern of mine, just curious......because I know you still don't have that buzz couch-to-couch trophy LMFAO
