Which PS3 Model is Right For Me?

-All systems have free online. and all systems come with controllers, av ports, etc..

-All have wirless capabilities, ethernet ports.


40gig

-has 2 USB ports, no CF or some other port.

-limited Backward Compatibility towards PS1 games, no PS2 games work with this model.


60 and 80

-Basically the same (60gb has 100% BC, 80gb has 98% BC)

-60 gb is no longer in production so 80gb is the way to go, especially since it comes with Metal Gear Solid 4 AND Dualshock 3 Controller

-4 USB ports, Compact Flash, SD , and that sony memory card ports.
also, both these models have both PS1 and PS2 backwards compatability.



[Side Note]

80gig is the way to go, double the memory, free game and more abilities.
act quick though, the 80gig we know know will be dummed down to what the 40gig has, just with more memory.

the 80gb has basically full BC with PS2/PS1, but a couple games wont work, there is a list somewhere.

If you don't care about playing PS1/PS2 games, then get the 40GB. Its price is reasonable.

Gotta go with this reply here. They're hard to find but if you look in the right places it is definitely worth it.

uh, the MGS4 pack since it has MGS4, dual shock 3 and has BC with PS2 games unless you don't need it.
