	Log in to remove this sponsored message It took me some 6 hours or so to to find the answer to fix my problem, but it worked. Eaither installing MS Windows XP Service Pack 2 or MS Media Player 10 caused this problem for me. Connecting my Sony DSC-V1 used to cause the MS camera wizard to pop up and picture transfer was easy but after the above mentioned 'upgrades' the camera only showed up as a removable media storage device (drive) and the wizard wouldn't work anymore. I found that for many people, uninstalling Real Player fixed their problem, but if you have tried that or don't have Real Player installed, download and run this file from Microsoft's website. It checks out all the autorun settings and fixes any that may not be properly configuered for autorun to work. (Also make sure you've tried configuering the autorun to actually perform the action you want in the device properties first). Magic! Yes, I'm in shock Microsoft actually did something right even though it was to fix something they did wrong. Anyway, good luck! If this helped you please let me know! I'd like to think 6 hours of time did more good than to just myself.

	wow, that worked! I had the exact same problem, same camera, sp2, wm10. Ran the fix, rebooted, and the wizard was back! Dude, you rock, thanks for the research man! I would have never found that. jason

	It looks like IÂ´ve got more problem than autoplay, the autoplay works now but when I choose the picture transfer wizard and press next nothing happens. The "show pictures in explorer" and "print utility" works but not the transfer or the picture viewer choices. Any one got this problem?

	had the same problem with real player a couple of months ago. this week I mapped a network drive as drive "E" and my camera wizard quit working. It seems that the wizard won't run as long as I have anything on drive E. Hope this helps

	For me the problem occurred after installing XPSP2. Autorun starts but then the wizard copying foto's to disk won't start. Tried autofix suggestion Then I found this: I've added the below reg keys and now it's working. There are 3 keys below. Put the parts bakt to 3 keys. and apply them to your registry. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\ WIA.AutoplayDropHandler.1\shell] [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\ WIA.AutoplayDropHandler.1\shell\open] [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\ WIA.AutoplayDropHandler.1\shell\open\ DropTarget]"Clsid"="{F1ABE2B5-C073-4dba- B6EB-FD7A5111DD8F}"

	Those that have been uninstalling real player might not need to. If you would like to try to keep real player, first try turning off message center -- To disable the Message Center: 1. Open RealPlayer, and click the Tools menu (upper-right corner of the player). 2. Choose Preferences. The Preferences box opens. 3. In the Category pane under under Automatic Services, click b>Message Center. 4. Click the Configure Message Center button. 5. Uncheck ALL items in the window that appears. 6. Click OK twice to save your changes, and close any other windows. --- That fixed it for me and I got to keep Real Player! Good luck.

	I have a Sony computer with XP and a Sony camera. The Wizard used to work, but now it doesn't. I don't have SP2 or Real Player. Tried the Autoplay fix which didn't work for me. I've spent hours on this and even called Sony with no luck. Somewhere on a Microsoft site I read that we shouldn't install the camera's drivers. I might have done that, but why would it stop working when it once did. Pulling hair out Nell

	Like others here, the auto run function works, but when you choose the camera wizard it doesn't actually run. I have a Sony Cybershot. It worked for a while and then stopped. I tried your fix but no dice. Thanks for the heads up though.
