Help Needed On Magic Master!!

You CANNOT survive Ultima, you must use Reraise on at least on character to win.

Actually...the only way is Reraise, I'm pretty sure it hits not matter what...

but i manage to did it without reraise ...i use an esper.. the esper that fly 4 ppl up .. so 3 ppl will not be hiited by ultima ^^

There are 3 ways u can win this boss.

1.) make sure at least 1 character has rerasie cast on them when the boss uses Ultima.

2.) summon Queztalli to have ur peopel fly away so they cannt get hrut form ultima (you need pretty good time for this one to work.

3.) cast beserk o na character with the dragon boots relic equiped. He will cosntantly jump and if he is in the air when Ultima is used that character will survive.

I jsut beat the boss... and then i died on the way down. ugh...

It's pretty hard without re-raise, but a really easy way to be at him is have 3 people in you're party and Mog, with Molulu's charm, so you don't get in any battles on the way. Have at least one person with a relic called Celestraid this makes it so all magic cost's 1 Mp.

So when you're in the battle equip mog with the Relics Dragon Horn and Dragon Boots (Have him jump every turn) and everyone else use Quick, then ultima 5 times, if you kill him fast enough, mog should still be in the air, and you'll win.

Or better yet have re-raise, I killed him in seconds, literially, like 20 seconds.

Here's an effective way of defeating Magic Master!:

First, make sure your party is at least lvl. 60. For the Battle Party, I recommend Terra, Mog, Umaro and Gogo. Next, MAKE SURE THEY ARE EQUIPPED EXACTLY THE WAY I HAVE IT SET UP! *ahem* Do this and you'll beat him with no trouble.

Golden Helm

Molulu's Charm


Umaro:

Golden Hairpin

Now, Mog having Molulu's Charm is obviously to scale the tower without having to fight any enemies on the way up. Finally, the way I have this set up, you can pretty much coast through the battle with little effort. Mog and Gogo will just kick the bucket eventually (if you choose not to use them to fight and let Mog sport his Golden equipment), but the main point is to keep Terra and Umaro alive. Since Terra has the Safety Bit, she won't succumb to Magic Master's instant death spell, only Umaro, in which case, revive him by casting Arise. So all you'll have to do is just sit back and watch Umaro pummel the crap out of Magic Master! At the end Ultima will be cast as a last resort and if Terra's HP is high enough, she'll be the sole suvivor of this battle. And when you go back down, Molulu's Charm will keep you safe until you can properly heal!

Actually, there is another method if you don't have reraise, to survive Ultima.

Use osmose until the magic master is out if mana, and then when he dies, and casts Ultima, it'll say "not enough mana". This'll take a while, however.
