Same thing for me. Afterburner doesn't work on my laptop (XP) but does work on my desktop. Any ideas why?

If compatibility mode doesn't work, you could use FS2_Open.

In the old PC, a 2000' AMD athlon with WinXP it worked well, in the new PC Intel Core 2 Duo e6420 with WinXp didn't work.
