Part 31: Countdown to destruction

ChaosBlackWarGreymon, ChaosMetalSeadramon and ChaosPiedmon walked down the stairs of ChaosTower and exit the tower, followed by Liquidman and MetalDitto. They all started walking south-west, in an area that was dark and had nothing but a dark metal on the floor. There were also no machines there, and no wind was blowing. The place seemed entirely lifeless. The five machines were heading towards a colossal black tower. In the middle part of the tower, there was nothing but four large black columns, which connected the lower half of the tower with its upper half part. Between those four columns there was some mysterious green electricity-like energy at the shape of a sphere. The five machines were walking towards that place. "I wonder how much energy should we put into this attack in order for it to break through the wall" said MetalDitto. "Let's set the attack's power to level 10! That should do it!" said Liquidman. "What? Are you insane? A level 10 shot from the Chaos Cannon? Geezus, Liquidman, we only want to blast a hole through an energy wall, not destroy half the universe!" said MetalDitto. "Well, that would end all our troubles at once though..." said Liquidman. "Didn't you hear what ChaosLord said? He told us not to do any unnecessary damage. I think we should set the power to about level 5" said MetalDitto. "We will set it to level 3" said ChaosPiedmon. "Level 3?" said ChaosMetalSeadramon. "Now, I think you're underestimating those guys, ChaosPiedmon. If this energy wall is indeed as powerful as you said, then a power 3 shot from Overlord GAIA's cannon might not be enough. I know it still is very powerful, but do you think it will work? And besides that, my Terra Force is no weaker than a level 3 Chaos Cannon shot anyway" said ChaosBlackWarGreymon. "Yeah, I thought the whole point in using the Chaos Cannon was so that we would use its supreme force to blast the entire energy wall at once and then enter Soul Society freely. But I don't think this is gonna happen if we use so little power!" said Liquidman. "ChaosLord told us to be careful about damage, so we can not risk using any more force than that. If my estimations are not entirely correct and this energy shield is weaker than I assume, then an attack of level 4 of above could cause some serious havoc to the planet. I think a level 3 attack would be just enough for my plan..." said ChaosPiedmon. "A plan, eh? What is that plan, ChaosPiedmon?" said MetalDitto. "Well, instead of destroying the energy wall and then entering Soul Society before it can regenerate... We can pass through the wall together with the energy beam that will be fired from Chaos Cannon" said ChaosPiedmon. "You mean like jumping into the beam? And how exactly are we gonna do it without getting our own selves destroyed?" said Liquidman. "It is simple. I will form an energy sphere around myself, you and MetalDitto. This energy sphere will act as a shield, so we will not get damaged while we are inside the beam. Basically, we will be pushed by the beam, and the energy sphere we will be into will act like some sort of cannon ball which will strike Soul Society's energy wall and break through it. By the time Overlord GAIA's attack ends and the energy wall regenerates again, we will already be inside Soul Society" said ChaosPiedmon. "Ah-ha. And what if our cannon ball fails to break through the wall?" said Liquidman. "In that case, the force we will receive by both the energy wall and Overlord GAIA's beam might destroy our cannon ball and disintegrate us all at once" said ChaosPiedmon. "What! No way! Count me out of this!" said Liquidman. "Heh heh, I was only joking... Even in the case that our cannon ball fails to break through immediately, then we will just fire some of our own attacks at the wall from inside the energy ball. I'm sure that all of our combined forces will be more than enough to allow us through the wall" said ChaosPiedmon. "Why not just increase the power of the attack to 4 to make sure it will break through the wall?" said Liquidman. "Actually, that would increase the chances of our energy ball breaking... not to mention the unnecessary damage it could cause" said ChaosPiedmon. "Damn..." said Liquidman. While they had been talking, the machines had walked some distance and were now almost at the huge black tower with green energy. "Okay, here we are... Core Tower..." said ChaosPiedmon. "So, shall we set the power to level 3 then?" said ChaosBlackWarGreymon. "Yes. Let's go. Liquidman, MetalDitto, wait for me here. This should not take long" said ChaosPiedmon. "Okay, we'll be right here" said MetalDitto. The Chaos Generals then started walking towards Core Tower, while MetalDitto and Liquidman stood still, looking at the colossal building. "Core Tower... I am actually in the center of Kernel Zone..." said Liquidman. "Amazing, isn't it? This area is off limits to anyone unless they have a good reason to be here. We're lucky ChaosPiedmon chose us for this mission. We're even going to see the Chaos Cannon being fired!" said MetalDitto. "Yeah, looks like there are some good things about this mission after all" said Liquidman, as he and MetalDitto were waiting for the Chaos Generals.

The three Chaos Generals walked at Core Tower. They were all walking towards a large entrance, in the middle of which was standing a giant robot with a metal skull head and two arms which were detached off its body and floating to its left and right. The robot's lower body was mostly blue, except the part between its feet and knees, which was white, and some white lines on its feet. Its upper body was white with some red lines. Its fists were white and its arms were blue with some large flat white parts covering their outer sides. The machine's skull was blue, except its lower jaw which was white. As they were walking towards that machine, the three Chaos Generals split up. ChaosPiedmon kept walking towards the giant robot, while ChaosBlackWarGreymon walked to the right of ChaosPiedmon and ChaosMetalSeadramon walked to the left of ChaosPiedmon, and then both went to some other entrances of the Core tower. The distance between each of the three entrances was the same, and the one where ChaosPiedmon went was facing ChaosTower at the north east, with the other two facing west and south. At the entrance facing west, where ChaosBlackWarGreymon went, there was another machine. It was a strange machine which was floating in the air without a lower body. It had a blue upper body with a white base at its bottom and a white chest. It had white fists, blue arms, and white shoulders with a huge spike on each of them. He also had three golden drill-like parts extending from his body and pointing to the ground, two of which were on the back of his upper body, at chest height, and one was extending down from the base of his upper body. This machine's back extended to a part which served as a base for two wings it had. The base of the wings was white in the front and blue with a small red cross symbol on the back, while the wings were blue and white, with some red parts connected to some blue parts which in turn connected to the base of the wings. The head of this machine was blue and, from a front look, it looked like some sort of a bird head, with a red beak and two small yellow eyes. ChaosBlackWarGreymon approached this machine, while ChaosMetalSeadramon approached another machine at the entrance of Core Tower which was facing south. Then entrance was guarded by a machine which looked like a human with blond hair and entirely red eyes. Its body was blue and white, and it also had some triangular, blade-sharp white parts around its waist, as well as some other parts at the back of its body. The three Chaos Generals approached the three guardian machines. ChaosPiedmon approached the giant robot-like machine first. "Virus Guardian" said ChaosPiedmon, as the giant robot looked at him. "Use Chaos Cannon at level 3" said ChaosPiedmon. "As you command, ChaosPiedmon" said the robot, whose name was Virus Guardian. Meanwhile, ChaosBlackWarGreymon said the exact same thing at the winged machine, except he addressed him as Vaccine Guardian, and ChaosMetalSeadramon also said the same things at the human-like machine, but he called him Data Guardian. The three guardians also replied in the exact same lines to each Chaos General, only the name of the Chaos General changed for each guardian depending on the Chaos General they were talking to. The three guardians then entered Core Tower, while the Chaos Generals waited outside. The guardians walked up some stairs, and then they ended up inside an incredibly huge room, in the center of which an enormous machine was standing. The machine's body, except for its arms, was human-shaped, with a long skirt-like part ther reached to the ground as a lower body. However, it was entirely made of hard metal. Its upper body was blue with some yellow lines and two white circles and two white squares on the chest. The lower part of this machine was mostly black, with two red vertical lines and two yellow triangles pointing downwards painted on it. The machine had a light silver face with red eyes and a big sinister smile. This machine's huge shoulders were colored in black, purple, blue and white, and from them its huge arms stretched downwards. The arms consisted of five parts each, which all together formed a huge metal hand which could open and close. A large blue and yellow part served as a base for the four other parts, which were colored in blue, white, silver, yellow, black, and a little red. The machine also had a big black and red part on its head, which covered it all but its face. The three guardians surrounded this huge machine, which saw them and looked at them with the sinister smile that was always in its face. "Overlord GAIA: Chaos Cannon level 3!" said the guardians all together synchronized, as their minds were connected with some psychic force! The guardians then left the room, and the huge machine in the center of the room, which was Overlord GAIA, began to charge some light blue energy in its body. The Chaos Generals, who were waiting outside, saw the three guardians returning to their positions. "Overlord GAIA is preparing the attack you requested. The attack will be fired in about one hour from now" said the guardians at the Chaos Generals. "Okay" said ChaosBlackWarGreymon, and then he walked back at the position where Liquidman and MetalDitto were. ChaosMetalSeadramon crawled there too, while ChaosPiedmon teleported to that location instantly. "So, everything's set?" said Liquidman. "Yeah. Let's go to the Chaos Cannon. The attack will be fired in about an hour" said ChaosPiedmon. "Okay" said Liquidman, and then he and the other four machines started walking south-west. "Heh, security's pretty strict at Core Tower, eh? From what I understood, those guardian guys will only take orders from you the Chaos Generals, is that correct?" said Liquidman. "Yes. Those three guardians only take orders from us. And only when the three of them transfer a message to Overlord GAIA together will he execute the order" said ChaosPiedmon. "Heh, I guess that makes sense. If anyone could just ask Overlord GAIA to fire his cannon, it might create some troublesome situations" said Liquidman. "Obviously..." said ChaosPiedmon, as he and the four machines kept walking towards the Chaos Cannon. The Chaos Cannon was a huge black cannon twice the size of Core Tower! To reach there, they were following three huge cables which extended from the Core Tower to the Chaos Cannon. Overlord GAIA's light blue energy was flashing on one of the cables brightly as it was being transferred through it from Overlord GAIA's tower to the colossal Chaos Cannon. The whole Core Tower also got covered in a huge light blue energy created by Overlord GAIA, and it was so bright that it could be seen from very far! A lot of machines on the planet saw it. "What's going on?" said a Mamemon. "The Core Tower... this energy... Overlord GAIA..." said a MetalGarurumon. "Let's go and see!" said a Meteormon, and soon some machines started gathering around the Kernel Zone, without entering it though. The machines noticed the energy that was flowing through one of the three the cables from Core Tower and was being infused into the Chaos Cannon. "Wow! Overlord GAIA is going to fire the Chaos Cannon!" said a Catbot. "Heh! Looks like some planet's inhabitats are out of luck!" said a ChaosGallantmon. "I wonder if it's gonna be those dragons or the guys who ChaosLord fought with the Chaos Generals... In any case, it'll be awesome to see the Chaos Cannon back in use" said a MetalHypno. The machines kept talking much to each other, and more and more of them gathered around the Chaos Cannon. At some point, they saw Liquidman, MetalDitto, and the three Chaos Generals walking from the Kernel Zone's center and heading to its most south-west part, the area in which the Chaos Cannon was. "Look! it's the Chaos Generals!" said a D-Stroyer. The Chaos Generals, Liquidman and MetalDitto approached the other machines. "ChaosMetalSeadramon! Are you going to fire the Chaos Cannon!" said a WaruSeadramon at ChaosMetalSeadramon. "Yes. It should be fired in about forty minutes from now" said ChaosMetalSeadramon. "Great! Wait... Only forty minutes? Does that mean..." said WaruSeadramon. "We will not fire the cannon at full force. We ordered a level 3 attack on Soul Society, which takes about an hour to prepare. A planet-destroying charge at level 7 would take at least three hours" said ChaosPiedmon. "Right. But why are you firing the cannon then?" said WaruSeadramon. "Well, ChaosPiedmon is going to Soul Society with Liquidman and MetalDitto. He will form an energy sphere, in which the three of them will hide. Then he will have the sphere blasted as a cannon ball by the Chaos Cannon's energy beam, and then he, Liquidman and MetalDitto will break through some energy wall that is around the planet, which prevented them fron entering previously" said ChaosMetalSeadramon. "An energy wall, eh? It must be some powerful energy if you have to use the Chaos Cannon" said WaruSeadramon. "Yes, it is, according to how ChaosPiedmon described it" said ChaosMetalSeadramon. "Alright, it seems the cannon is already pointed at the correct direction. Let's just wait while it charges. In the meantime, I'll practice the energy shield that will let us through the walls" said ChaosPiedmon. Then the machines watched as the Chaos Cannon was getting charged up with energy, while ChaosPiedmon started forming energy shields in a large area around his body, preparing for the moment in which the cannon would be fired.

Part 32: Chaos Cannon!

Meanwhile, Yaiba was in his office, at the headquarters of the 10th division, whose Captain he was. Seigi was also with him, sitting on a chair, while Yaiba was also sitting on a chair behind his desk. "So, all I have to do is infuse some of my energy into those seeds, is that correct?" said Seigi, as he was holding the seeds Ryuumaru gave to Yaiba in his right hand. "Yes, this is what lord Ryuumaru said. But the energy must be infused right before we plant them on Earth" said Yaiba. "I see" said Seigi. Just then, the door to the room in which Yaiba and Seigi were in got knocked twice. "Come on in" said Yaiba. The door then opened, and ten people dressed in white clothes entered the room. One was a black man with short black hair, who was wearing black glasses. He was wearing an open white jacket, showing his well-trained body, and white trousers. One was an innocent-looking young male person with short blue hair, whose right hand was holding the left hand of an innocent-looking girl who also had blue hair, but hers was long. They were both wearing white t-shirts and white pants. One was an fat, unshaved, bald man with white pants and an open white sleeveless jacket that revealed his huge stomach. He seemed quite dirty and also had sweat all over his face and body. Another was a young, melancholic-looking man with black eyes and black emo hair covering his left eye. He was dressed in white pants and a white shirt. Another was a muscular, very serious-looking japanese-like man who had no hair but only a long ponytail at the back of his head. He was dressed in a white training uniform. Another guy was a huge, very muscular person who was wearing white trousers, but nothing above his waist, except a viking helmet with horns, which created a shadow over his strict-looking blue eyes. He had long, orange hair, moustache, and beard, and carried a huge double-handed axe on his back. He was the tallest person in the room. Another person was wearing a big white hakama over a white shirt and white pants, and he also had some sort of box made of many small wooden sticks on his head, covering it entirely. There were only two holes through which he could see. This man was very tall and heavy, but not fat. Another was a short, thin boy with spiky light brown hair and green eyes, dressed in white pants and a white shirt. The last person in the room was a guy who was carrying a guitar on his back. Like the orange-haired man, he was wearing white trousers but nothing above his waist. He also had blond hair and brown eyes, and looked extremely loose. All the people bowed down as they saw Yaiba and Seigi, except for the guy with the guitar. "Oh!" he said as he looked at the others bowing down, and then he bowed down too. "Ah, the Ten Chosen. Welcome to my office" said Yaiba. "It is our honor to meet you! Sir!" said the japanese-looking man with the ponytail in a quick, loud voice. "My, my, what a voice! Calm down a bit, there is no need to shout in here" said Yaiba. "My fault, sir! Please punish me, sir!" said the man with the ponytail. "Geezus..." said the black man. "Hm..." said Yaiba, as he looked at the man with the ponytail. Then he looked at the rest students too. "Okay, students. Have you been informed on why you are here?" said Yaiba. "We were told by our teacher, master Joshua, that we would go on a mission at Earth with you, lord Yaiba" said the man with the box on his head. "Hm. So you know that. Well then. Let me explain what we will do at Earth..." said Yaiba. "Gunna haf sum' phun!!" said the man with the guitar. "What is your name, son?" said Yaiba, as he looked at that man. "Lint" said the man. "Lint, please stay quiet while I explain to you what we will do at Earth" said Yaiba. "'kay" said Lint. "Good" said Yaiba. Then he looked at the students and said "This will be your first actual mission. Its difficulty can vary. We will go to Earth to revive some creatures as lord Ryuumaru has ordered. Also, while reviving them, we will also try to get some of the population of the planet on our side. Now, according to the plan, ChaosLord will probably respond to those actions. It is possible that he will send some of his machines against us. This is where your training will begin. Your goal will be to fight and destroy those machines". "And what if ChaosLord arrives himself?" asked the melancholic-looking guy. "We're just gon' beat the crap outta him!!" said Lint in a loud voice. "Actually, no. In the case that ChaosLord shows, then, according to lord Ryuumaru's orders, we should run away at once. Avoid battle with him at all costs. You all know how he looks like, right?" said Yaiba. Then all the students replied positively. "Cool let's go!" said Lint. "...Alright then. If you are all ready, we shall begin" said Yaiba. Then he got up from his seat behind his desk, and started walking towards the door to his office. "Let's go" he said, as he opened the door, and his subordinates were waiting for him just outside. "Is it time, lord Yaiba?" said a Shinigami. "Yes, it is time. Come on, everybody. Seigi. Shinigamis, students... follow me to Earth" said Yaiba, when he saw two thin egyptian-like people dressed in white running towards his direction. One was a bald man and the other had long hair. "Hm?" he said. "Lord Yaiba!" said the bald man, and then he took some breaths, as he and the other guy were tired from running. "Can we come too?" he continued. "Those white clothes... You are students, right?" said Yaiba. "Yes sir. We'd like to join you on your mission at Earth" said the man with the long hair. "Hmm... Okay, but be very careful, and... stay together with one of the Ten Chosen" said Yaiba. "Come with me" said the man with the box on his head. "Sure" said the bald man, and then he and the man with the long hair walked next to the man with the box on his head. "Okay then, let's go" said Yaiba, and then he jumped up and started flying towards Earth. Seigi followed him and flew next to him, holding the bag with Ryuumaru's seeds in his hand, and behind the two of them were Yaiba's subordinates and the Ten Chosen, as well as the two students who were following the man with the box on his head.

As they were flying, Ryuumaru was watching them from a balcony on his castle, together with Rika at his left. "Off they go... to Earth..." said Rika. "Yeah. It looks like two more students joined them also... Oh well. There is no need to worry, it should be a simple mission after all" said Ryuumaru. Just then, Dragonaurus flew at the balcony, and landed to the right of Ryuumaru. "Hello, Ryuumaru" said Dragonaurus. "Ah, hi Dragonaurus. I was just thinking of you a few minutes ago" said Ryuumaru. Really? Is there something you want me to do?" said Dragonaurus. "Well, actually, yes, there is something I am interested in where you could help me" said Ryuumaru. "Tell me" said Dragonaurus. "Okay. I need to know about Rance's plans. However, knowing Rance, I think he will have probably already prepared his dragons to search for spies on his planet. This would make an ordinary spying mission especially difficult and dangerous. Those dragons should not be underestimated" said Ryuumaru. "Let me guess. So you want me to take advantage that I look like Rance's Dragonaurus, and explore the planet unnoticed?" said Dragonaurus. "Exactly. And, knowing you, Dragonaurus, I know that you will be safe even in the case you may be discovered. However, if you avoid any contact with Rance's Dragonaurus, I am sure there will be no problem" said Ryuumaru. "Okay, I will spy on Rance's planet. Shall I go now?" said Dragonaurus. "Wait. Take this" said Ryuumaru, as he handed Dragonaurus a small black device. "What is this?" said Dragonaurus. "This is a device that will enable us to know if it is you or Rance's Dragonaurus. It emits a signal that will get recognized by a program on my computer. So, if a Dragonaurus is outside the energy wall around our planet, I will be able to tell if it is you or Rance's Dragonaurus, and take the appropriate measures" said Ryuumaru. "Ah-ha, I see" said Dragonaurus. "Okay, wait here for a while while I make a call and deactivate the energy walls for a bit, until you exit the planet" said Ryuumaru. "Sure" said Dragonaurus. Then Ryuumaru turned his back at Dragonaurus, as he started to make a phone call. Meanwhile, Rika looked at Dragonaurus. "Dragonaurus, you seem so calm! Aren't you afraid the least bit by the thought of going to a planet full of enemies?" said Rika. "No, I don't think they'll even discover me anyway. And even if they do so, not even their leader, Rance, can defeat me. There is nothing to be worried about" said Dragonaurus. "Dragonaurus..." said Rika, as she looked at Dragonaurus with respect and amazement. Just then, Ryuumaru was done with his phone call. "Alright, Dragonaurus, the walls will be down for the next five minutes" said Ryuumaru. "Okay, I'm going then. See ya later!" said Dragonaurus, as he flew up and then started flying towards Dragon Planet. "See ya" said Ryuumaru, as he and Rika watched Dragonaurus fly high in the sky, until he disappeared from their sight.

On Dragon Planet, the MetalSeadramon ChaosLord had sent to spy had arrived there and was spying the planet. He was crawling around the place, talking to the dragons, and observing the beautiful natural places of the planet. "Hmm... this planet is interesting, although I am not used to all that bright light... anyway, let's see if I can find any information" said MetalSeadramon. He crawled into some grass, and saw some dragons laying on the ground and sleeping, while others were playing with each other. He then noticed a Devidragon who was just sitting and watching the other dragons, thinking of something. "Hey, what's up" said MetalSeadramon. "Oh, hi, MetalSeadragon. How's it going?" said Devidragon, as he turned his head and looked at MetalSeadramon. "Fine. I was wondering if Rance has made any plans for striking back our enemies" said MetalSeadramon. "Well, I haven't heard anything. All he said was that we should be careful for spies, but other than that, I don't know. He's just in his palace all the time working on his plans" said Devidragon. "Ah-ha, I see" said MetalSeadramon. "Some say we'll probably attack Earth first since it's an easy target. But Rance has not confirmed such a thing yet" said Devidragon. "I see. Those machines were pretty tough, eh?" said MetalSeadramon. "Well, I was actually on Earth during the attack, but from what I heard from other dragons who went to ChaosPlanet, these machines sounded like they were incredibly strong. Were you there, MetalSeadragon?" said Devidragon. "Umm, no, I was just wondering what you thought of the machines" said MetalSeadramon. Then Devidragon looked at the sky, and saw a large red and blue dragon descending at an area close to him and MetalSeadramon. "Look! There's Dragonaurus! He's the closest to Rance, maybe he knows something about his plans" said Devidragon. "Dragonaurus?" said MetalSeadramon, as he turned his head and looked at Dragonaurus descending on the ground. "Strange... According to what I have learned so far, there should be only one Dragonaurus on this planet... A few minutes ago I saw him up at Rance's palace, but... now he seemed to have been coming from an entirely different direction" thought MetalSeadramon. "Come on! Let's go ask him!" said Devidragon, as he started flying at Dragonaurus. MetalSeadramon followed him, and they both got close to Dragonaurus. "Hi, Dragonaurus!" said Devidragon. "Why, well hello there guys!" said Dragonaurus as he smiled at Devidragon and MetalSeadramon. "Hey, did Rance tell you anything about his plans?" said Devidragon. "Heh, no, I was actually wondering if you guys knew anything" said Dragonaurus. "Us? No, we don't know anything. We wouldn't be asking you if we did" said Devidragon. "Haha, I guess that's right. Alright then, see ya later guys" said Dragonaurus, as he started walking away. "Hmm, Dragonaurus looks a little strange today, doesn't he?" said Devidragon at MetalSeadramon. "He sure does..." said MetalSeadramon, as he was carefully looking at Dragonaurus, who went and talked to some other dragons.

On ChaosPlanet, the area around the Chaos Cannon was entirely filled with machines, who were waiting to see the cannon being fired. "Wow... in a few minutes... we will witness something we will never forget..." said an Irozard. "Yeah, and neither will the inhabitats of the target planet... hehehe..." said a Mechanikat. The Chaos Generals were standing closest to the cannon, together with Liquidman, MetalDitto, and some other machines. An Electabot looked at the three huge cables which connected Chaos Cannon with Core Tower, and saw that only one actually had energy flowing through it. "Hmm..." said Electabot. "What is it, Electabot?" said a Magmabot who was standing next to him "Look at those cables. Only this white one has energy in it" said Electabot. "True" said Magmabot. "Well, isn't this strange? I mean, why isn't there energy flowing through the gray and the black one?" said Electabot. "No idea" said Magmabot. "This is because of the complicated designs of the machines of Core Tower" the two machines heard a voice. Electabot and Magmabot then looked to their right and saw ChaosBlackWarGreymon. "So, how does it work?" said Electabot. "Inside Core Tower, there are three machines which can receive energy by Overlord GAIA. Each of these cables you see is connected to one of these machines. The white cable is connected to one machine, while the gray cable is connected to another, bigger machine, inside which is the previous machine. And the black cable connects to an even bigger machine, which includes the two other machines inside it. Now, the smallest machine transfers the least amount of energy into the cannon, and it can begin being used immediately. However, the other two machines can not. In order for the second bigger machine to begin to work, the smallest machine must first work for some time and get warmed up by some heat that is produced as it works. When the smallest machine gets warmed up enough, the second biggest machine wil also get warmed up by it, and then it can begin to work, transferring even bigger amounts of energy. And, in the same way, the biggest machine can begin to work after some even more time, when the second biggest machine will have been warmed up enough to raise the temperature of the biggest machine around it to a certain level" said ChaosBlackWarGreymon. "And why do these machines need to be warmed up before they start working?" said Magmabot. "Because if they started working immediately, while they are cold, then the huge amount of energy they would receive by Overlord GAIA would instantly raise their temperature to a very high level as they would begin to work. This sudden change of heat could damage the machines, and this is why they have to already be hot to start working" said ChaosBlackWarGreymon. "Ah, I get it now" said Magmabot. "But still, this cannon takes too much to load. How come this happens when Overlord GAIA has so much energy? The cannon should normally get charged up instantly" said Electabot. "Well, this is because the rate at which the machines transfer energy to the cannon through the cables is not the same as the rate at which Overlord GAIA can unleash his energy. In fact, the rate at which the energy is transferred to the cannons is about a million times lower than the rate at which Overlord GAIA emits his own energy" said ChaosBlackWarGreymon. "Whoah! A million times slower!" said Magmabot. "Then why are we even using this cannon? Can't Overlord GAIA just fire a beam on his own?" said Electabot. "Overlord GAIA's level of energy is such that it is easy to lose control of that energy. This is why this cannon exists, to fire energy shots of an accurate amount of power" said ChaosBlackWarGreymon. Then suddenly a blue lightning fell on the Core Tower, and the machines then heard a loud thunder noise. Then some rain drops started falling from the sky, which was starting to get filled with black clouds! "It's beginning!" said a Volcamon. "Are you ready, MetalDitto, Liquidman?" said ChaosPiedmon, as he looked at MetalDitto and Liquidman. "Ready!" said MetalDitto. "Whatever" said Liquidman. "Okay, let's go!" said ChaosPiedmon, and then he used his psychic powers to lift himself, MetalDitto and Liquidman up in the air, and then all of them flew up and went inside the huge Chaos Cannon. Many blue ligntnings started falling on Core Tower, and the ground started to tremble from the loud thunder noises! ChaosLord suddenly appeared close to the cannon after teleporting, and watched as there was much water on it, since the rain had now become much heavier! "ChaosLord!" said a Launcher Spider. "So, they are going..." said ChaosLord, as he looked at the cannon, while huge blue lightnings were flashing behind him at the Core Tower, which was also covered in an enormous light blue energy emitted by Overlord GAIA! The energy around the black tower got bigger and bigger, as the rain was also getting more heavy and strong winds started to blow! Many loud thunders were also shaking the place and filling the air with loud noise, and the machines all watched stunned while trying not to get carried away by the powerful winds! "Chaos Cannon!!!!" shouted a Puppetmon loudly and excitedly, when a hundred enormous blue lightnings striked Core Tower, and then a huge pillar of light blue energy connected the sky with Core Tower! The insanely huge blue energy of Core Tower then travelled through the white cable to the Chaos Cannon, completely surrounding both the cable and the cannon with the energy! Instantly then, the Chaos Cannon fired in an unbelievably loud noise which shook the whole Chaos Planet, as an incredibly massive light blue energy beam immediately came out of it and went towards the space! The light blue beam kept being fired with enormous force for several seconds, during which the whole Chaos Planet was shaking by an earthquake, lightnings were falling on Core Tower, and a massive amount of energy was travelling from the sky to Core Tower, and from the tower to the Chaos Cannon! The strong winds that were blowing were not even concerning the machines anymore due to all the other incredible things that were also happening! After some seconds, the earthquake started to become smaller and smaller until it stopped, while the energy that connected Core Tower with the sky stopped, along with the entire rest energy of Chaos Tower. And so, the energy's transfer to the Chaos Cannon ended too. Lightnings also stopped falling, and the wind stopped blowing, while the black clouds on the sky dispersed, revealing the moon-like planet which enlightened Chaos Planet, which the clouds had almost completely hidden before. Many machines were still standing stunned after the attack, while ChaosLord closed his eyes and teleported back to ChaosTower. "Di-did they make it? Did they actually survive in there?" said an Andromon. "They did" said ChaosBlackWarGreymon. "But... but... this energy beam..." said Andromon. "ChaosPiedmon is a Chaos General. His powers are enough to protect himself and the two others" said ChaosBlackWarGreymon calmly. "This was insane..." said Andromon. "Alright, it's over. ChaosPiedmon is on his way to the destination planet. ChaosMetalSeadramon, shall we get going too?" said ChaosBlackWarGreymon, as he looked at ChaosMetalSeadramon. "Yes, let's go" said ChaosMetalSeadramon. "ChaosMetalSeadramon, wait!" he heard a voice then. Then he turned his head and saw two metal sea serpent dragons, MegaSeadramon and GigaSeadramon. "Where are you going?" said GigaSeadramon. "I'm going to Earth to see if there is any trouble" said ChaosMetalSeadramon. "Earth, eh? Can we come too?" said GigaSeadramon. "I guess there is no problem with that. Sure, come" said ChaosMetalSeadramon. ChaosBlackWarGreymon saw that and thought "Maybe I should also bring MetalGreymon and SkullGreymon, who knows, we might find enemies for training down there". Then he turned around and saw MetalGreymon and SkullGreymon. "Oh, MetalGreymon, SkullGreymon, you are here. Do you want to come with us at Earth?" said ChaosBlackWarGreymon. "Yes. We'd like to see how that Earth looks like" said MetalGreymon. "Okay then. Everyone, let's go!" said ChaosBlackWarGreymon, as he jumped up in the air and started flying towards Earth. SkullGreymon and MetalGreymon followed him. "Let's go!" ChaosMetalSeadramon at MegaSeadramon and GigaSeadramon, and then the three of them started flying towards Earth too.

Part 33: The miracle

ChaosPiedmon, Liquidman and MetalDitto were travelling with huge speed inside a sphere made of psychic energy which ChaosPiedmon had shaped around himself and the two other machines. The sphere was travelling towards Soul Society, getting pushed by the enormous energy beam which had been fired from the Chaos Cannon. Inside the sphere, ChaosPiedmon remained calm as he concentrated his psychic powers, while MetalDitto and Liquidman were surprised by what was happening to them at the moment. "This is insanity!" said Liquidman. "We're travelling too fast... what will happen when we crash on the wall?" said MetalDitto, looking worried. "I will keep everything inside the sphere stable with my psychic powers. There is nothing to worry about" said ChaosPiedmon. "O-Okay..." said MetalDitto, as he watched the space outside the sphere. Everything looked blue, because of Overlord GAIA's energy beam, which covered the energy sphere, as the latter was travelling inside the beam and getting pushed by it. ChaosPiedmon said "Okay machines, once we're through this obstacle, the first thing we should do would be to destroy whoever or whatever is responsible for that wall". "Okay" said MetalDitto. The three machines travelled in space extremely fast, and soon Soul Society became visible. "Look! There it is!" said MetalDitto. "ChaosPiedmon!" said Liquidman. "Hold on, we are about to crash!" said ChaosPiedmon, as the sphere was moving closer and closer to Soul Society at very large speed. The machines watched as the light blue energy beam they were travelling into first crashed on the invisible energy wall around Soul Society, and started causing many explosions of energy as it was hitting the wall with incredible force! However, it did not fully break through the wall! Soon, the energy sphere with the three machines crashed on the wall too, and the entire sphere shook very violently at the moment of impact! "Aaaargh!" shouted Liquidman, as the energy ball did not go entirely through the wall when it crashed, but instead it stuck between the energy wall and the energy beam, which kept striking the wall with massive force! As a result of being between two so huge energies, the energy ball shook very violently, and so the machines inside it also shook around despite ChaosPiedmon's psychic fileld inside the sphere, which kept things steady inside it! From Soul Society, some Shinigamis saw a huge light energy beam striking their invisible energy wall, as well as an energy sphere which was trying to get through the wall! "W-What is this?" said a Shinigami. "I don't know... I've never seen anything similar to that before..." said another. Then they watched at the sphere which was stuck on the wall, still getting pushed by the continuous energy beam. "We didn't make it!" said Liquidman, shaking violently. "ChaosPiedmon! What should we do?" said MetalDitto. "Fire some attacks at the wall! With all your power!" said ChaosPiedmon. "Hyper Beam!" said MetalDitto, as he fired a Hyper Beam at the energy wall. Liquidman also fired a Hyper Beam at the same spot as MetalDitto did, and some explosions were happening on the wall. ChaosPiedmon then pointed his two palms at the wall and also fired two Psybeams at the same spot as the other two machines were firing their attacks. Many explosions happened on the wall, which seemed to be going down slowly! However, Overlord GAIA's energy beam which was pushing ChaosPiedmon's energy sphere at the wall was about to end! "Hurry up, we haven't got much time!" said ChaosPiedmon. "FULL POWER!!" shouted Liquidman as he put his full strength into his Hyper Beams, making them even stronger, and MetalDitto and ChaosPiedmon also did the same with their own attacks! Just then, the energy wall broke, and the three machines entered Soul Society with the energy sphere! However, just as the energy wall broke, Overlord GAIA's energy beam also ended, and so nothing was left to keep the hole on the wall open! The energy wall instantly regenerated and reformed, and this caused some very powerful energy which hit ChaosPiedmon's sphere from behind and destroyed it in a large explosion! The Shinigamis from Soul Society saw that as they watched stunned. "Th-They're through!" said a Shinigami. "Impossible..." said another. Meanwhile, Yamix and Mag were also watching that at the moment from the top of a huge mountain they were on. They had been sitting on a rock each previously, but they stood up and watched carefully from since they saw the energy sphere crashing on the energy wall around Soul Society. "It looks like some intruders have managed to enter our world..." said Yamix, as he watched the three machines falling like comets from the place of the explosion. The machines were falling all at different direction at a big speed. "Which one... Which one of them is the strongest?" said Mag as he looked at the three "comets" falling, and then he licked his upper lip as he was smiling.

Meanwhile, Yaiba was flying towards Earth together with Seigi and the twelve students. Suddenly, Seigi's mobile phone rang. Seigi answered it. "Hello?" he said. "Seigi, it's me, Ryuumaru" heard Seigi. "Hello sir! Yaiba told me about the seeds, we're travelling at Earth at the moment to plant them" said Seigi. "I see. I wanted to tell you something about the golden seed" said Ryuumaru. "What is that, sir?" said Seigi. "You must use some of your magical energy even after you plant it. Call me after you do so and I will explain, okay?" said Ryuumaru. "Understood" said Seigi. Then he closed his phone. "What was it, Seigi?" said Yaiba. "Lord Ryuumaru wanted to tell me something about the gold seed. He said I should call him after I plant it" said Seigi. "Ah, I see" said Yaiba. Then he and the rest Shinigamis kept flying at Earth. They flew down at a very large park, where there were many people. "Seigi, this looks like the ideal place to plant the gold seed" said Yaiba. "Yes, it does. I'll get it ready then" said Seigi, as he pulled out the gold seed and started infusing some energy in it. Meanwhile, some people who had seen the Shinigamis landing from the sky approached them with curiosity. "W-Who are you people? How can you fly?" said a man. "We are the messengers of god, here to prove his existence to you with a miracle" said Yaiba. "Miracle? What miracle?" said the man. "You shall see soon enough" said Yaiba. "Now, can you please leave this park? It will be dangerous if you are around this area during the miracle" said Yaiba. "W-What are you going to do?" said the man. Then Seigi said "Yaiba, the seed is ready". "Good. Plant it now" said Yaiba. Then Seigi dug a small hole on the ground with his hand, and planted the gold seed there. The ground then started to shake! "Move away!" said Yaiba, as he and the rest Shinigamis started flying away. "W-What's going on?" said the man who was talking to Yaiba previously, as he felt the ground below his feet trembling more and more. "Stop talking and run!" said another man, as he was running away along with a large crowd of other people. Then the man who was talking to Yaiba started running away too, while the earthquake that was happening started getting stronger and stronger, and covering a bigger range in every second! The people and Shinigamis had all left the park, and it started shaking extremely much, and then suddenly, a gigantic tree emerged from the ground and started going up towards the sky! The tree was as wide as the whole park, which was also the same in size as the National Park in the Johto Region, and the tree's height kept going up, until it reached such a level that, from the ground, it looked like it reached the skies! The people watched stunned at the insanely huge tree, unable to believe in their eyes! The Shinigamis were also a bit surprised, but not as much as the humans. "This tree... It's like the Yggdrasil on our own planet!" said Seigi. "Indeed. Seigi, call Ryuumaru for further instructions. I'll go talk to those people" said Yaiba, as he flew down to the people, who were amazed by what they were seeing. "Do you see, people? The power of lord Ryuumaru, the god of the universe" said Yaiba. "Ryuumaru... but... isn't he the white-haired guy who came and killed many people?" said a man. "Those were sinners receiving lord Ryuumaru's judgement. But there is nothing to worry about as long as you are good and believe in lord Ryuumaru" said Yaiba. "That Ryuumaru... such abilities..." said a man. "He must really be god!" said a woman. Yaiba smiled as he saw the people starting to believe in Ryuumaru, and also, many more people who saw the tree from afar started coming to see it from close. Meanwhile, Seigi called Ryuumaru on his phone. "Lord Ryuumaru? It's me, Seigi. We planted the gold seed, and out of the ground came a Yggdrasil same as the one on our planet!" said Seigi. "Good. Now, Seigi, look carefully at the tree, and you will see an entrance" said Ryuumaru. Seigi flew around the tree, and he noticed an entrance on its base. "I see it" said Seigi, as he saw the entrance. "Excellent. Now, Seigi, I want you to enter the tree, make your way up, close to its top, and then, you will see two big double doors. I want you to infuse some of your magical energy into them, until they open" said Ryuumaru. "I understand" said Seigi. "Good. Continue your mission as normal then" said Ryuumaru, as he hang up his phone. Seigi also closed his phone, and then he started to make his way into the tree. Meanwhile, the twelve student Shinigamis walked up to Yaiba. "Lord Yaiba, what should we do?" said the man with the box on his head. "Go and explore this planet, and try to take as many people as you can on our side" said Yaiba. "Understood" said the man with the box on his head. "Divide and conquer!!" shouted Lint, and then the twelve student Shinigamis split up and started exploring Earth.

Meanwhile, on Soul Society, at some location very far away from Ryuumaru's castle, some people were fighting. "Take that, bastard!" said a man as he punched another guy in the face. "Die!!" said the guy as he kicked the man at the stomach. Suddenly, they heard a noise as if something was falling from the sky at huge speed, but as they turned to look what it was, a huge explosion happened next to them! The explosion threw them both away for some distance, and also caused much dust. "What the hell was that?" said the man who was fighting with the guy previously, as they both got up from the ground and looked at the place where the explosion had happened. The dust started to fade away, and the two people started to see the shape of a human in the dust. The dust then faded away even more, and the two people saw a tall, brown-haired man standing with his eyes closed. He was wearing dark brown shoes, gray trousers, and a black leather jacket. "Who the *bleep* is he?" said the man who was fighting. The brown-haired man slowly opened up his brown eyes, and looked at the two people, who were also looking at him with an angry look. "Welcome to the 80th district!" heard the brown-haired man from behind, and then he felt a large brick getting smashed right on his back! He took one step forward because of the force of the attack, but he did not fall down. The pieces of the brick fell down on the floor, and the man who had smashed the brick on the brown-haired man's back watched surprised as the brown-haired man slowly turned and faced him. "Die!" said the man with the brick, as he punched the brown-haired man hard on the right cheek, making his head turn a bit. But the brown-haired man turned his head and looked to his front again, where the guy who was attacking him was. "GRAAAARGH" shouted the guy as he tried to punch the brown-haired man again with his right fist, but he had his fist caught in the brown-haired man's hand! The guy then tried to punch the brown-haired man with his other hand, but the brown-haired man calmly slapped off the guy's attack with his right hand, and then he thrusted his hand hard at the guy's stomach. "Gugh.." said the guy as he bent down and coughed out a little blood while the brown-haired man was still holding his right hand, and then the brown-haired man knocked him out with a karate chop on his back. The brown-haired man then let the guy's hand, and he fell on the floor. "Geez... I just came to this planet and I'm being attacked already..." said the brown-haired man quietly, as he looked at the fainted guy he had just defeated. "Hey you!" he heard a loud voice from behind him then. He turned around and saw the two people who had been fighting and were thrown away by the explosion previously. "Who the hell're you?" said one of the men. "My name is Liquidman" said the brown-haired man, who was actually Liquidman! he had transformed to look exactly like a human! "Where the hell did you
