Here is chapter 89 of my story. I forgot to mention before, but here is a song which in my opinion goes well with the fight which took place in chapter 88, the previous chapter of my story. Also, the song I linked to has two parts. The second part (which starts at around 01:20 of the video) goes well with the fight which takes place in this current chapter, starting from the point when Alphamon and Bulblo both charge at each other on the bridge in my opinion. Chapter 89: The Final Joust! Chosen Champion Alphamon vs. Bulblin Warlord Bulblo! Bulblo had temporarily lost control of his boar after being slashed a few times by Alphamon, who also removed all of his armor in the process. Now, Bulblo's boar was just charging randomly towards a large, stone bridge, which connected from the edge of one large cliff to another! Bulblo was on his boar, which was running on one of the two cliffs and towards the bridge. On the cliff where Bulblo was, there was a large, grassfield, where Bulblo and his subordinates had been fighting with Alphamon and his subordinates before, while on the other cliff, which was connected to the one where Bulblo was by the large stone bridge, was a rather dark, mountainous area with little vegetation. Below the gap between the two cliffs, nothing but pure darkness could be seen. The large stone bridge which Bulblo's boar was running towards was extremely huge! A large, stone tower also stood on each end of the bridge, and a large open gate was present at the bottom of each tower, so that people could walk through them and cross the bridge, although both ends of the bridge were currently being blocked by a high, spiky wooden fence. On both stone towers, many beautiful statues of some Shinigami, angels and Holy Creatures were carved on the towers' walls. At the very top of the tower at the end of the bridge where Bulblo was heading at, there was one large statue of Ryuumaru with angel wings on his back, and he was standing with his arms spread out and facing the North, which was the same direction where Bulblo's boar was currently running at. At the top of the tower at the opposite end of the bridge, there was a dragon statue which was completely identical to the one built at the top of Ryuumaru's castle, with the exception that this one was much, much smaller and was not golden. This statue was also facing South, and with that being said, the Ryuumaru statue and the dragon statue were facing each other. Bulblo then regained control of his boar, which was just about to crash into the wooden fence blocking the bridge's entrance, but the boar easily jumped over the fence and landed on the bridge, where it started running to the other end of the bridge. At the same time, Alphamon was still riding Armageddon, and he was chasing Bulblo. Armageddon ran straight at the wooden fence which Bulblo's boar jumped over before, and Armageddon also jumped over the fence and ended up on the bridge. After landing on the bridge, Armageddon stopped at one end of the bridge, while at the same time, Bulblo rode his boar all the way to the other side of the bridge. At the same time, one orc-like creature was standing on the head of the Ryuumaru statue at the top of the tower behind Alphamon, while another was standing on the head of the dragon statue at the top of the tower where Bulblo was riding his boar towards. Both orc-like creatures then pulled out a bow and an arrow, infused some spirit energy into their arrow to light it on fire, and then they both simultaneously shot a fire arrow diagonally downwards from the top of the towers where they were standing on all the way down to the wooden fences at the opposite side of the bridge where they on! With that being said, the two fire arrows which were shot formed an "x" as they travelled, and they both hit the wooden fences at the opposite side of the bridge at the same time, lighting the two fences on fire! Alphamon then turned around and looked as the fence behind him got set on fire. "Hmph. How ridiculous..." he then said, as he blasted a beam of green energy straight up at the orc-like creatures standing on the tower behind him! "Grugh!" the orc-like creature screamed as he got hit by the beam and got knocked off the tower. After that, Alphamon shot another green energy beam at the orc-like creature standing at the top of the other tower at the other side of the bridge, knocking him off his tower too. While this was happening, Bulblo continued riding his boar, until he eventually reached the other side of the bridge, where he stopped just as his boar was about to crash into the wooden fence before him, which was lit on fire. After that, Bulblo turned his boar around 180 degrees, so that he and Alphamon were now facing each other. The time of the day had now reached twilight, and the dark clouds covering the sky before also dispersed quite a bit, although a few were still present. A strong wind was also blowing hard across the enormous bridge, which did not have any fences on the side. Now, under the quite dark sky, Bulblo and Alphamon, who were both on opposite ends of a large stone bridge, looked each other in the eyes, as they both smiled confidently in anticipation of victory, while the twilight shined in their faces. At the same time, Bulblo's boar and Armaggedon also looked at each other furiously with their crimson eyes, as if they could not wait to utterly annihilate each other. To Bulblo's point of view right now, which was facing South, he could see a long, stone bridge ahead of him, at the end of which was Armageddon and Alphamon, and behind whom was a large tower with a Ryuumaru statue with angel wings on top of it. While to Alphamon's point of view, which was facing North, he could see a long, stone bridge ahead of him, with Bulblo and his boar at the end of it, and behind them was a large tower with a dragon statue on top of it. And behind that tower, there was Ryuumaru's castle in the background, which was quite far away, although it was still huge in Alphamon's perspective. "Do you know where we are? This bridge is known as the Great Dragon Bridge... the largest bridge in the whole of Heaven" said Bulblo. "Hmph. It seems you've just lost all of your men" said Alphamon, smiling as he looked into Bulblo's eyes. "The same could be said for you" said Bulblo as he opened his mouth slightly, showing his sharp teeth. "But, to be able to survive against me for so long... I'll acknowledge you. You don't seem to be just another random orc, after all. As an honor, I shall tell you my name. I am the Fourth Chosen Champion... Alphamon!" said Alphamon, as the wind suddenly became stronger, blowing his cape in the air and raising some dust which was filling the bridge. "I am Bulblo, the leader of Heaven's Bulblin force!" said Bulblo. "Let's go!" said Alphamon as he pulled his Armageddon back, and then Armageddon stood up high on only his hindlegs! At the same time, Bulblo's boar stomped the ground three times in a row with its right leg, stood up on only its hindlegs briefly, and then started charging fast towards Armageddon, while Armageddon did the same! "Haaaa!" said Alphamon as he raised his great blade and tried to slash Bulblo with it as he and Bulblo drew close to each other at the very center of the bridge, but Bulblo swung his axe at Alphamon's direction with equal force, and as the two weapons collided, a huge explosion of lightning was caused by the friction, and a large shockwave of spirit energy was also released by the collision's impact, shaking the whole bridge a bit, and some small rocks started crumbling off the sides of the bridge, as well as the cliffs around the area due to the shockwave! After the collision, Alphamon and Bulblo both rode past each other, and the creatures they were riding kept running at opposite sides away from each other, until they each reached the opposite end of the bridge where they were before, and they both stopped just in front of the wooden gates which were at the end of both sides of the bridge, and were set on fire by the two orc-like creatures' fire arrows before. After that, Bulblo's boar and Armageddon both turned around, before charging at each other again! "Grroooahh!" Bulblo roared as he tried to ram into Armageddon with his boar instead of attacking with his axe this time! "Hmph!" said Alphamon as his Armageddon jumped up and avoided the tackle, and then Armageddon tried to kick Bulblin in the face with his hindlegs while still in mid-air, but Bulblo blocked the attack with his round shield, although the force of the attack cratered the ground below Bulblo's boar's feet, and as that happened, many pieces of rocks started falling rapidly from under the bridge! After Armageddon jumped over Bulblo, he continued running towards the same direction he was going before, until he reached the end of the bridge, while Bulblo reached the other end at the same time. The two warriors once again turned around, and they rode their creatures towards each other again. "Horn Drill!" said Alphamon, and then Armageddon started spinning his horn around fast like a drill and tried to drill Bulblo's boar while charging at him! "Rawr!" said Bulblo as he thrusted his axe straight into Armageddon's horn, and as they collided, an insanely huge explosion of lightning caused by the friction and spirit energy happened, further making the bridge unstable! The explosion also changed the direction where Armageddon and Bulblo's boar were running at, and this made them both miss each other and charge right past each other by the side instead. Armageddon and Bulblo's boar once again turned around, and they charged at each other once again. "Humph!" said Alphamon as he raised his sword, ready to slash Bulblo with it, but Bulblo raised both his axe and his shield in an attempt to guard himself from the attack, while trying to run Alphamon over with his boar, but Armageddon ran to the side and avoided the brunt of the tackle, although he got hit a bit by the side of the boar's body, and he almost fell off the edge of the bridge! However, he regained his balance before that happened. Armageddon and Bulblo's boar then kept running until they once again both made it to the end of the bridge, where they turned around to face each other again. Bulblo and Alphamon had now ran at each other and clashed at the center of the bridge four times in total, which means that they were now both back at their starting positions before they clashed. "I must say... Continuing to fight against your brute strength at this level for any longer would be rather annoying" said Alphamon. "So... are you finally going to submit before my power... and give up your skull to me?" said Bulblo. "It's true that a truly virtuous warrior knows when to admit defeat... However, such is unnecessary in this situation" said Alphamon. "Huh...?" said Bulblo, looking confused. "Armageddon, we have no choice but to use that attack..." said Alphamon as he looked at Armageddon, who looked back at him and nodded. "Just what ridiculous moves are y'gonna use this time?" said Bulblo confidently. Then Alphamon raised his blade, and then the black flames on Armageddon's body started growing bigger and bigger, until eventually, Alphamon and Armageddon were both being surrounded by a huge amount of black flames, which took up a volume twice the size of the towers at either ends of the bridge! The flames were radiating powerfully from Armageddon's body, while his eyes also looked much more furious than before! "This is our most powerful attack! Armageddon's Ultimate Tackle of Devastation!" said Alphamon, while being barely even visible due to the extremely hot and thick black flames engulfing him! At the same time, Bulblo looked at Alphamon curiously. "Your most powerful attack, huh? Quite impressive! Well then, it seems to counter an attack like that, I'll just need to focus all of my spirit energy into a single attack!" said Bulblo, and then he raised his axe, while suddenly radiating a huge amount of green spirit energy from his body! The green spirit energy covered an area which was about the same size as the area covered by Armageddon's black flames! Also, the spirit energy extended even further out, shaking the whole atmosphere, and many small rocks were being ripped out of the bridge and the two nearby cliffs and being lifted up into the air due to the immense spirit pressure! Now, Bulblo, who was surrounded by much spirit energy, was facing Alphamon, who was surrounded by some equally huge black flames. "Let's go!" said Alphamon, as Armageddon stood briefly on only his hindlegs and roared loudly, and then he stomped the ground hard, before charging at Bulblo's direction at an incredible speed! "Grrrooaaarrghh!" Bulblo roared as he spun his axe around his right wrist three times, before catching the axe again, and then he also rode his boar at an equally high speed towards Alphamon's direction. "Grrarrgh!" Bulblo screamed his battle cry loudly as he and Alphamon came close to each other at the very center of the bridge. "Coup... de grâce!" said Alphamon, as he looked straight into Bulblo's eyes, before Armageddon and Bulblo's boar charged straight into each other and collided with enormous force, creating a gigantic explosion of black flames, green spirit energy and dust on impact! Here is chapter 90 of my story, and here is a song which in my opinion goes well with the fight between Alphamon and Vaiknite, which starts halfway through this chapter and goes on to the next chapter. Chapter 90: Victory An enormous explosion of black flames and green spirit energy happened when Armageddon and Bulblo's boar rammed into each other at the center of the Great Dragon Bridge, and an enormous cloud of black flames, green spirit energy and dust filled the whole place for a while. The huge radiating force of the explosion also instantly destroyed the two wooden fences blocking both ends of the bridge, which were both set on fire by some orc-like creatures' fire arrows before. Also, many large rocks were sent flying at all directions due to the explosion, and a landslide was also caused in the nearby mountains to the North of the bridge. After a few seconds, Bulblo's voice was heard. "Raaarrghh!" he screamed as he and his boar were seen falling down the bridge at the center, while at the same time, Alphamon and Armageddon emerged out of the cloud, and galloping towards the North end of the bridge! After that, the cloud of black flames, green spirit energy and dust faded away, revealing that 50% of the bridge's entire length at the center was destroyed! With that said, only half of the bridge was left undestroyed. 25% of the bridge's original total length was at one side of the bridge, while the other 25% was at the other side, and a large gap was created at the bridge's very center due to the explosion! Right after that, Alphamon slowed his horse down. Right now, a huge setting Sun could be seen at the West side of the bridge, and before the light of the setting Sun, Armageddon stood up high on only his hindlegs, and while Armageddon was doing that, Alphamon raised his blade, and the two of them posed proudly in victory. While Alphamon and Armageddon were posing, Bulblo and his boar were falling down the bridge. From far away, when viewed from the East, Alphamon and Armageddon could be seen as a black sihloutte of a brave, heroic knight riding on horse, which was standing on its hindlegs, while the sihloutte of Bulblo and his boar fell, until they went down into the seemingly infinite darkness below the bridge, and could no longer be seen. Meanwhile, Kuroi was standing by the side of the window inside Ryuumaru's office. The left side of his body was facing the window, although he had his head tilted to the side so that he was looking outside the window, down at Alphamon who was posing victoriously on his horse at that very moment. At the same time, Ryuumaru was also in the room, sitting on his chair in front of his desk, and he had his back turned to the window, while Rika was sitting at the side of the window and also looked at Alphamon posing. "This is a surprise. So he even managed to take out Bulblo, the leader of Heaven's Bulblin forces, along with his entire army, even if it meant sacrificing all of his own men. Quite an impressive machine" Kuroi thought, without showing any facial expressions as he was watching Alphamon. "So he was defeated, is that correct?" said Ryuumaru, without even turning around. Kuroi remained silent for a few seconds. "Yes" he then said. "Didn't you say he would have no problem taking them out?" asked Rika as she looked at Kuroi. "My deepest apologies. The machine who had defeated him was stronger than I expected" said Kuroi. "There's no problem" said Ryuumaru, and then Kuroi and Rika both looked at him. "I forgive your miscalculation, for even I did not expect him to lose. Your decision to stop Vaiknite from what he was about to do earlier... came only with the slight inconveniance that is the loss of your subordinate and our Bulblin forces. As for that machine, he may be filled with pride and the thrill of victory as of now. However, he will be disposed of shortly" Ryuumaru continued. Kuroi then looked out the window again. "I see" he said. Rika then blinked curiously as she also looked out the window, where it was very dark now and the Sun had almost completely set. Ryuumaru then put his right hand on his computer mouse, while his computer had the WorldMap program open, and the program was displaying the Earth, viewed from outerspace. Ryuumaru clicked on an arrow button on the program, and this made the Earth spin around in the program's point of view. After the Earth made a quick 360 spin, Ryuumaru let go of the mouse and leaned back on his chair, and then the Earth displayed in the monitor stopped spinning. "Kuroi" said Ryuumaru. "What is it?" said Kuroi. "There may be something I would like you to do soon" said Ryuumaru. Kuroi then looked at the screen of Ryuumaru's computer. "On Earth, is it?" said Kuroi. "Yes. However, there are no particular tasks which I feel you should be undertaking right now. So, if there are any business in your mind that you'd like to take care of, I do not mind if you address them now. I shall inform you of your mission when the time comes" said Ryuumaru. "I see. Well then, excuse me" said Kuroi, and then he looked out the window once more with the corner of his left eye, before dissapearing with Instant Movement. After that, Rika looked at Ryuumaru. "Ryuumaru, are you sure you'd like to send Kuroi on this mission right now and not until a later time, after we take care of these machines? To have a Holy Elite leave Heaven at this time..." said Rika. "It's fine" said Ryuumaru, and then he got up from his seat, turned around and looked out the window behind him. The sky was completely dark now, with only an extremely thin strip of orange light visible at the West, where the Sun had set. Some stars were visible in the night sky, although there were some clouds. Ryuumaru looked out the window, at the sky, and then he said "The absence of a single Holy Elite from Heaven does not mean anything significant, when there are those two running around... And even if it does, Kuroi's upcoming mission would still not be outprioritized by what is going on in Heaven right now". Rika then blinked and widened her eyes a bit. Ryuumaru then moved his eyes from looking at the sky, to looking down at the land of Heaven before him. "ChaosLord's plans... I'm sure this whole invasion of Heaven is but an insignificant distraction for us. The easiest way to defeat an opponent who uses distractions as a source of defense... is to not allow these distractions to affect you. Basically, we must look at the big picture. Although resistance to the forces of these machines is definitely a neccessity, we should not believe that the end of this issue is the end of all problems. In order to end all problems, we must look at ChaosLord, the one who is behind all of this, instead of the problems created by him. And Kuroi's mission addresses the greater problem, not just this minor issue we are currently experiencing" said Ryuumaru. "I see..." said Rika, and then she looked out at the sky. "It's quite late... if we don't get rid of the machines by midnight, you can sleep, while I can stay up guard this room for you" said Rika playfully. Ryuumaru then smiled a bit. "That isn't necessary" he said. Meanwhile, Alphamon had rode Armageddon away from the now-destroyed Great Dragon Bridge now, and he was riding over some rocky mountains towards the North, towards the direction of Ryuumaru's castle. Armageddon was galloping rather slowly, as Alphamon was taking his time slowly as he was riding. Alphamon then stopped Armageddon as he looked forward and noticed another horse-riding figure ahead of him. At first, Alphamon could only see a shadow, as some night mist was surrounding the figure. But slowly, the mist faded, revealing that the figure was in fact Vaiknite riding on his horse's back, and the horse was standing at the top of a small hill! "Name yourself" said Alphamon as he looked at Vaiknite. Vaiknite, who was looking at the destruction caused on the Great Dragon Bridge before, slowly turned his head to look at Alphamon. "So you're the one who led that large army from before, who defeated Bulblo, the leader of Heaven's Bulblin forces and one of Kuroi's strongest subordinates" said Vaiknite. "That's right. The Fourth Chosen Champion, Alphamon!" said Alphamon. "A Chosen Champion, hmm..." said Vaiknite. Then Alphamon pointed his sword at Vaiknite and said "Now then, if you don't wish to name yourself, then I'll just ask you to step aside". "Step aside?" said Vaiknite. "That's right. You should understand already. I have already defeated Bulblo, without a doubt one of the strongest beings in Heaven. Although the orders given to us by ChaosLord was to destroy the whole of Heaven completely, and that includes every single being who exists in it, I have no intentions of wasting my time fighting anyone weak. To slay your leader, Ryuumaru, the Legendary Hero of the Ancient Pokémon War, would be my ultimate satisfaction. So, if you would just step aside right now, I shall spare your life. This isn't to say that our objective, which is to utterly annihilate Heaven, will not be fulfilled though. By moving out of my way, all that means is that you will live longer. For even in the end, you'll be killed by another machine sooner or later. So, what do you choose?" said Alphamon. "You asked me to name myself before, didn't you?" said Vaiknite. "So what?" said Alphamon. "Certainly, Bulblo is one of the greater warrior of Heaven, in terms of brute strength. As such, to be able to defeat him is quite an acknowledgable feat. However, do not be fooled to think that this actually means anything to me" said Vaiknite. "What are you talking about?" said Alphamon. "Well then, I believe that I'll just answer two of your many questions... by simply telling you my name! I am Vaiknite, one of Heaven's Ten Holy Elites!" said Vaiknite, and then Alphamon widened his eyes a bit as he heard that. "A Holy Elite... is it? Very well... I now remember you. You were one of the three Holy Elites who accompained your leader Ryuumaru when you attacked Chaos Planet, immediately after all the destruction caused by that phoenix. And you were ChaosMetalSeadramon's opponent. I take back what I said about you. I'll make sure you'll die at nothing other than my hands!" said Alphamon, and then his Armageddon stood up on only his hindlegs. But before he could charge forward, Vaiknite immediately rode his horse at extreme speed at Alphamon and tried to crunch his face with his weapon's jaws, and Alphamon gasped as he quickly rode his Armageddon in a huge burst of speed to the side and just barely avoided the attack! "Impossible... That speed..." said Alphamon as he turned his head around while now riding Armageddon fast towards the opposite direction of where Vaiknite was before, while his right cheek got slightly cut by one of the teeth of Vaiknite's weapon from before, and a small amount of dark energy leaked out of the tiny scratch on his face. But then suddenly, he saw Vaiknite's horse catching up to him fast from behind! "What!" said Alphamon, widening his eyes in surprise as he could not believe how fast his opponent was! Then Vaiknite caught up to Alphamon started riding his horse to Alphamon's right! Then Alphamon swung his sword hard horizontally, trying to cut Vaiknite's neck with a clear swing of it, but Vaiknite lowered his head slightly, and then Alphamon's sword hit his mask, creating a metallic sound and an explosion of sparks on impact, and then Alphamon gasped as his blade sparked harmlessly off Vaiknite's incredibly hard mask! "Over already?" said Vaiknite as he raised his weapon high, before slamming it straight down at Alphamon with it with huge force, but Alphamon leaned back and avoided the attack, which kept going and was about to smash Armageddon straight in the head with incredible crushing power, but Armageddon blocked the attack with his horn! However, Vaiknite's attack had so huge force that an enormous crater with a radius ten times the size of Vaiknite ands Alphamon combined was smashed on the ground below! "Grrrooahhhhh!" Armageddon roared loudly as he felt the powerful impact smashing onto his horn hard! "Tch" said Alphamon as he looked at Vaiknite. "Armageddon, Horn Drill!" Alphamon continued, and then Armageddon started spinning his horn around like a drill, while still touching Vaiknite's weapon! Armageddon's horn was spinning around at such a high speed that it created so much friction that an explosion of lightning happened, blasting Alphamon and Vaiknite both away from each other! "Hmph" said Vaiknite then, as he rode his horse extremely fast ahead of Alphamon, as his cape was blowing in the wind while his horse was leaving behind a huge cloud of dust as he galloped across the ground. "Don't underestimate me!" said Alphamon as he pointed his left palm at Vaiknite and blasted many shots of green energy at him! The green shots of energy all flew at Vaiknite and was about to hit him, but Vaiknite made a sharp dash turn on his horse, avoiding all the beams, which crashed close together on the ground and created a huge explosion which cratered the ground! Then Vaiknite, who had made a sharp turn before, turned around and started galloping at Alphamon's direction from the front! Then Vaiknite closed the mouth of his weapon and thrusted it straight at Alphamon when he came close, but Alphamon blocked the attack by holding his sword forward horizontally. "Ugh!" said Alphamon as he felt the force of Vaiknite's weapon crashing onto his blade. Now, the sharp part of Alphamon's sword was pushing hard against the front teeth of Vaiknite's weapon. "So powerful..." Alphamon continued, as Vaiknite was slowly overpowering him! "Hmph. You did well blocking that. However, that's only a waste of effort. This weapon, Ryuutetsu... does not work like any ordinary sword. As you can tell by its appearance, it does not cut" said Vaiknite, and then Alphamon gasped as he looked at the teeth of Vaiknite's weapon! "Aside from smashing, it bites!" Vaiknite then shouted loudly, as he infused much yellow spirit energy into his weapon, making it glow brightly yellow, and then he pulled the red button at the back of his weapon, making it open its mouth wide! Now, since the weapon's mouth was opened, Alphamon's sword slipped off the weapon's teeth, creating some sparks as that happened, and since Alphamon was pushing the sword forward, it kept going until it hit the back of Vaiknite's weapon's mouth and stopped! However, as that was happenming, Vaiknite also pushed his weapon forward, and then he closed the weapon's mouth hard as it reached close to Alphamon! "UAAAAARRRGHHH!" Alphamon screamed loudly as Vaiknite's weapon bit him straight in the left shoulder, creating a deep bite mark there, and an insane amount of dark energy spouted out of his shoulder like a volcanic eruption! As that happened, Alphamon and Vaiknite both rode their horses straight past each other and continued running towards the opposite direction of each other! Then Alphamon turned 90 degrees while riding his horse, and then he pointed his left hand at Vaiknite and started charging up a Hyper Beam! "Diieee!" he screamed insanely, while dark energy was still leaking from his shoulder, and then he blasted an insanely thick and powerful Hyper Beam at Vaiknite! The Hyper Beam was so thick and strong that it carved a river into the ground as it travelled at huge speed at Vaiknite's direction, but Vaiknite turned his horse 90 degrees to the right, so that the right side of his body was now facing Alphamon. Vaiknite stopped his horse, threw his weapon up into the air and caught it upside down with his right hand, as he looked at the Hyper Beam fired at him, while much golden light was radiating from the beam and shining on his mask! Then Vaiknite started swinging his weapon around vertically by swinging his wrist, and then Alphamon's Hyper Beam collided with Vaiknite's weapon, only to be deflected up into the sky upon contact! "What...!" said Alphamon, unable to believe his eyes! Then Vaiknite passed his weapon behind his back, and then his right hand gave the weapon to his left hand. After that, he swung his weapon with his left hand, opened its mouth wide, pointed it at Alphamon's direction, and then he shot a huge, devastating stream of extremely hot flames from a small black cannon attached within the weapon's mouth! The flames covered so much width and height as they travelled that to Alphamon's point of view, it looked as if a huge tsunami of fire was crashing towards him! "Armageddon, Dark Flamethrower!" Alphamon shouted, and then Armageddon stood on two legs briefly, before stomping the ground hard, creating a small earthqauake in the process, while blasting a huge stream of devastating black flames from his mouth at Vaiknite's direction in the process! The size and power of Armageddon's black flames were even with Vaiknite's flames, and the two huge streams of fire collided, creating a huge mixture of black and orange flames which covered an insanely large area! Then Alphamon and Vaiknite both rode their horses into the flames. "Hrngh!" the two warriors shouted as they rode past each other and clashed their weapons together once, creating a huge shockwave of spirit energy on impact, which carried the black and orange flames even further away from the place where they were burning before, setting an even larger area on fire, and the remains of the Great Dragon Bridge also caught on fire. Now, the area covered in flames was three times that of before! Meanwhile, Ryuumaru was standing in his office, facing the window and watching the intense battle which was happening outside, while Rika was also still sitting by the window and watching. "Hmph. Chapter 91: To Fall At The Midst of Glory Alphamon and Vaiknite clashed once again somewhere in the middle of the flames, creating another powerful shockwave of spirit energy. After that, the two warriors both did a "U" turn to face each other and clash once again, and many trees were being ripped out of the ground by the shockwave of each instance of collision, while the two warriors' capes were blowing in the strong spirit energy! Then Armageddon jumped high up in the air, and then he dived down at Vaiknite! "Haaaaaa!" Alphamon screamed his battle cry while Armageddon was diving down at huge speed, while he had his sword raised, and then he slammed his sword down hard at Vaiknite when he came close, but Vaiknite blocked with his weapon, although the huge force of the attack deeply cratered the ground below Vaiknite's horse, and also raised a huge cloud of dust around Vaiknite! Then Vaiknite pushed his weapon over his head, and then Alphamon and Armageddon went over Vaiknite's head and ended up behind him. Armageddon landed on his feet and slid back a huge distance, stopping just as his feet reached the edge of the cliff, and then Armageddon charged at Vaiknite again. "Huargh!" said Alphamon as he tried to slash Vaiknite horizontally with his sword, but Vaiknite held his weapon vertically and used the bottom part of it to block the slash. After that, he pushed his weapon hard against Alphamon, pushing him back a bit, and then Vaiknite raised his weapon briefly, holding it with only his right hand, before he slammed it extremely hard down at Alphamon! "Ungh!" he said as he blocked the attack, although he was a bit overwhelmed by its huge crushing force. After that, Vaiknite raised his weapon from Alphamon's sword again. "Haaaaarrrghhh!" he screamed his battle cry and then he started whacking his weapon against Alphamon's sword repeatedly, creating many sparks on impact! "Gah... What the hell is he?! He's so much faster than me, it's insane!" said Alphamon, as Armageddon was gradually being pushed back on his feet with each time Vaiknite's weapon made contact with Alphamon's sword! Also, with each time Vaiknite's weapon made contact with Alphamon's sword, a powerful burst of spirit energy radiated outwards on impact, and since Vaiknite's weapon was smashing onto Alphamon's blade at such a high frequency and power, many massive shockwaves of spirit energy resembling an extremely powerful hurricane was released at every direction, ripping many rocks and trees out of the ground, blowing a huge amount of dust and flames at every direction, blocking out of the sky! Meanwhile, many Electabots, Magmabots, Cythers and Silverducks, who were different to the ones who Mag destroyed, were wandering around a forest. Suddenly, a huge wave of spirit energy, which felt like an insanely strong wind blew at the machines! "Aaaarrgghh!" said the machines as they all formed an "x" with their arms to cover their faces from the insanely strong spirit energy, which was so powerful that the machines were being blown backwards on their feet, and many trees surrounding them were being ripped out of the ground and smashed to many tiny pieces of wood by the energy! "What the hell is this...?" said a Magmabot. "It seems like an extremely powerful wave of spirit energy... An intense battle must be happening somewhere right now!" said an Electabot. Then suddenly, another wave of spirit energy, which was many times stronger than the one before, blew into the machines' faces! This wave of spirit energy also carried much flames within it! "Arrrghh!" they screamed as they all got lifted off the ground and got sent flying away by the spirit energy, while they also got scorched by the flames carried by the spirit energy! Meanwhile, at another location in the forests of Heaven, which was further away from the place where Alphamon and Vaiknite were fighting, there were about two hundred Shinigami who were wearing ninja-like black cloth masks, a red-haired female Shinigami who looked exactly like the one who MetalDitto transformed into before after that Shinigami was killed by ChaosPiedmon, Yaiba, Fuu, Rai, and the female Shinigami with long purple hair and large purple eyes, who had sent the purple-haired Team Rocket member to Hell before on Earth, in the town where ChaosBlackWarGreymon had fought with Team Rocket much earlier, were also with them. All of these Shinigami were standing within a forest, when suddenly, the wave of spirit energy which the Magmabots, Electabots, Cythers and Silverducks felt before washed over them as well! "Gah!!" said all the black-masked Shinigami as they covered their faces with their arms to guard from the wave of spirit energy, which also pushed those Shinigami backwards on their feet! The red-haired female Shinigami also guarded her face with her arms and got sent sliding backwards, although she did not scream but simply remained calm. "Aah!" said the purple-haired female Shinigami as she, Rai and Fuu also guarded their faces with their arms, although they were not pushed back by the spirit energy. As for Yaiba, he simply stood still, with his eyes closed, and with his back turned to the direction where the spirit energy wave was coming from, and he was completely unaffected by the power of the spirit energy, and only his clothes and his beard were being moved by the spirit energy, which was blowing at them like a strong wind! Meanwhile, Vaiknite was still whacking his weapon at Alphamon's sword repeatedly, gradually pushing Armageddon back on his feet. After a while, Vaiknite did a final horizontal smash at Alphamon with the side of his weapon! Vaiknite blocked the attack with his sword, although the huge force of the attack sent him and Armageddon both flying away! They both did a backflip in mid-air, and then Armageddon landed on his feet and slid back a bit, while Alphamon looked at Vaiknite desperately. Meanwhile, back at the place where Yaiba and the other Shinigami were, the spirit energy radiating at them stopped, and then many of the Shinigami lowered their arms. "That was... Lord Vaiknite's spirit energy!" said the purple-haired girl. "Yes, and his opponent seems to be the same machine who managed to annihilate Bulblo as well as his entire army of Bulblins!" said Fuu. Just then, another wave of spirit energy came from the same direction as before, and all the Shinigami in the area except for Yaiba raised their arms again and stood firmly to guard against the wave. After a few seconds, the wave faded away. "They seem to be engaging in a fierce battle..." said Rai as he and everyone else lowered their arms again. "What should we do, Lord Yaiba?" said a Shinigami wearing a black mask as he looked at Yaiba. "Mm. Judging from this energy radiating from their battle, I think we can let Vaiknite deal with that machine. Now, I was going to have one of you do this regardless anyway. Daniel, please go and observe the whole situation that's happening here in Heaven right now, not just with Vaiknite's battle. After that, report back here so we can develop an effective strategy against the enemies" said Yaiba as he looked at the Shinigami who spoke before. "Yes sir!" said the Shinigami, known as Daniel, and then he dissapeared with Instant Movement. "Fuu..." said the purple-haired girl as she looked at the direction where the spirit energy radiated from before. "Don't worry. I'm sure all of this will be over soon" said Fuu. Meanwhile, Armageddon charged at Vaiknite again, and then Alphamon raised his sword as he came close to his opponent within the scorching flames, but Vaiknite's horse jumped up and tried to kick Alphamon in the face with its front legs. However, Alphamon blocked the kicks with the flat side of his sword, although the huge force of the kick knocked Alphamon back a bit. "Gah..." said Alphamon as he felt the kick's impact on his blade. After that, Vaiknite's horse landed back on the ground and started running away fast. "Haaaaaaa!" said Alphamon as his Armageddon galloped fast after Vaiknite. Vaiknite travelled in a curved line, but Alphamon cut a corner and caught up to him. "Hya!" he screamed his battle cry as he swung his sword at Vaiknite again, but Vaiknite swung his weapon backwards with huge force and collided with Alphamon's blade, creating another bright spirit energy shockwave, which changed the course of both warriors, and they started riding their horses away from each other. After a while, they both did a "U" turn and charged at each other again. They collided their weapons together, creating a large shockwave of spirit energy which shook the surrounding atmosphere, and then they both ran past each other. After that, both of them did a "U" turn and charged at each other again. Vaiknite thrusted his weapon straight at Alphamon, who rode his horse to the side and managed to avoid the full power of the attack, although the horn on the nose of Vaiknite's weapon pierced deeply into Alphamon's chest! "Guuhh!" Alphamon screamed as some dark energy leaked out of his chest, and then the two warriors rode away from each other again. Alphamon temporarily lost control of his horse after he got his chest pierced, and then his horse almost ran off the edge of a cliff, although Alphamon made it run to the side in the last second and prevented that from happening. Then Armageddon started running extremely close to the cliff's edge. Vaiknite then saw that, and then he stopped his horse, pointed his weapon at Alphamon's direction and opened its mouth! After that, he shot a laser beam of water out of the small black cannon inside the weapon's mouth at Alphamon! The water laser was extremely compressed and powerful, and then it hit the edge of the cliff where Armageddon was galloping on, and the water laser easily sliced through the cliff like butter! Vaiknite used the water laser to slice the cliff a few times, and then a large area of the cliff, where Armageddon was standing on, started collapsing! Vaiknite's water laser also accidently sliced the big stone tower at the South end of the Great Dragon Bridge, which had the Ryuumaru statue at the top of it and was located at the cliff opposite to the one where Vaiknite and Alphamon were, and then that stone tower effortlessly got sliced in half and started sliding diagonally in half, and the top half of the tower fell off the edge of the cliff and got lost into the darkness which Bulblo had fallen into before! Now, Armageddon was standing on a large rock which was falling off the cliff it was attached to before. Many other rocks were also falling off they cliff after getting sliced by Vaiknite's water laser, and Armageddon jumped from one falling rock to another until he landed back onto the cliff. After that, Alphamon immediately saw Vaiknite riding his horse towards him from the side. Then he immediately rode Armageddon towards Vaiknite as well. "Soul Blade!" he said as he tried to chop Vaiknite horizontally in half with his sword, but Vaiknite caught the sword easily by biting it with his weapon's mouth! "Guh... How!! I've never encountered such a powerful opponent before! I even defeated Bulblo, but..." said Alphamon, widening his eyes as he looked into the eyes of Vaiknite's mask. Vaiknite then remained silent for a few seconds. "It's over, Alphamon, Fourth Chosen Champion" he then said calmly. "I swear! Even if you do defeat me this time, I'll be back! And the next time we meet, you'll be the one to fall!" said Alphamon. Vaiknite then ignored his words, and then he swung his weapon to the side, while it was still grabbing onto Alphamon's sword, and then Alphamon got tossed to the side by his sword, and the force of the toss made Armageddon run at that direction briefly. Since they were still close to the edge of the cliff, Armageddon ran off the edge of the cliff! "Uuuuuaaarrghhhh!" Alphamon screamed as he and Armageddon both fell into the darkness below the cliff, where Bulblo also fell into before, and, below the night sky, Vaiknite watched on his horse, with his cape blowing in the wind as Alphamon and Armageddon fell until they were eventually out of sight. Meanwhile, ChaosMetalSeadramon, GigaSeadramon and MegaSeadramon had arrived back at Chaos Planet. The three machines descended from the sky down at extreme speed towards the direction of Chaos Tower, and then when they reached close to there, they hovered in the air right before the tower and faced its front window. They looked inside the window, where ChaosLord was standing with his eyes closed. The wounds on ChaosLord's body, which were caused due to his fight with Ryuumaru a while ago, had also healed almost completely. "So you three failed to pass through the dimensional gate along with the others..." said ChaosLord as he slowly opened his eyes and looked at the three machines floating before him. "Our deepest apologies..." said MegaSeadramon. "While the other machines passed through the gate to enter Heaven, we stayed behind to deal with that dam' kid, who sealed the gate shut just as I was about to blast him to pieces. Since ChaosBlackWarGreymon took the key with him, there's no way for us to enter Heaven now" said ChaosMetalSeadramon. "Seigi... one of Heaven's Ten Holy Elites and Four Seraphim, right?" said ChaosLord. "Yes..." said GigaSeadramon. "I see" said ChaosLord, and then he slowly closed his eyes. "GigaSeadramon, MegaSeadramon. You two can go back to do whatever you like now" he said, and then GigaSeadramon and MegaSeadramon both looked at ChaosMetalSeadramon. "Go" said ChaosMetalSeadramon. "Yes" said his two right-hand machines together, and then they both flew away. Then ChaosLord reopened his eyes and looked at ChaosMetalSeadramon, and then he said "ChaosMetalSeadramon, since you failed to take out Seigi and enter into Heaven, you can just make up for that by coming with me". "Where are we going?" said ChaosMetalSeadramon. ChaosLord then slowly raised his head and looked up at the sky. "To Earth..." he then said. "You want me to go to Earth, do you? If only I knew sooner I should've just stayed there!" said ChaosMetalSeadramon. "Let's go" said ChaosLord, and then he flew out the window of Chaos Tower and started flying high up into the sky, approaching space, while ChaosMetalSeadramon followed him! "I see now... So this is what the decoy's all about! By having those machines attack Heaven, that acts as a distraction to prevent the beings of Heaven from detecting you while you're carrying out your plans on Earth!" said ChaosMetalSeadramon as he flew fast next to ChaosLord at the same speed as him, while his red hair were blowing in the wind! "Heh" ChaosLord then laughed, as his crimson red eyes glowed bright for a second, while he smiled evily as he and ChaosMetalSeadramon flew higher and higher! The two machines kept flying upward, until they eventually reached space, where they kept flying towards Earth's direction... To be continued ------------------- | |

Chapter 92: Assassination Daniel was standing at the very top of the dragon statue above Ryuumaru's castle, under the night sky, and from that position, he was observing all of the area of Heaven within the white circular walls. As he was standing there, the sound of many crickets chirping could be heard from within the forests below. After observing for a few minutes, Daniel jumped off the top of the statue's head at blinding speed, and he started falling towards a forest, where it was extremely dark, as the forest was very dense and it was night time. At the place where the forest was, there were the two hundred Shinigami wearing the ninja-like black cloth masks, Rai, Fuu, the purple-haired female Shinigami, the red-haired female Shinigami and Yaiba, the same people who had felt the wave of spirit energy radiating from the place where the battle between Alphamon and Vaiknite took place before. "Lord Yaiba..." said Rai as he looked at Yaiba, and then he turned his eyes to look at the red-haired female Shinigami, who had a quite emotionless expression on her face and was standing behind Yaiba, who was facing all the other Shinigami who were in the area. "I know" said Yaiba. Just then, Daniel landed on the ground in the middle of the forest, in front of Yaiba and with his back turned to him. "Daniel" said Yaiba as he looked at Daniel immediately as he landed. Then Daniel turned around, looked at Yaiba and said "They seem to have spread out all over the place within the Sacred Area. While some of them are currently being faced with resistance, most of them are generally moving towards the direction of Vinheim. Also, Vaiknite has successfully disposed of his opponent". "Is that so... Well then, if they're all over the place, the best thing to do would be for you to simply all spread out and take out as many of them as you can one by one. Within this darkness, there'll be plenty of places for you to conceal yourselves before launching an ambush. "I'll have Rai, Fuu and Mizu lead the rest" said Yaiba. "I believe they should be experienced enough to be able to do this themselves without our guidance" said Fuu as he looked at all the Shinigami wearing black masks standing around the place. "Is that right?" said Yaiba as he also looked at those Shinigami. "Yes sir!" they said together. "Good. Well then, Rai, Fuu, Mizu. You three can ignore the guidance and just skip to the action right away" said Yaiba. "Is that alright with you, Mizu?" said Fuu as he looked at the purple-haired female Shinigami, known as Mizu, who was standing next to him. "Yes" she replied. "Besides, Lord Yaiba, Fuu, Rai. I'm sure you all noticed it as well" she continued. "What do you mean?" asked Rai as he looked at Mizu. Then Mizu turned her head and looked at her right, towards the direction of East, and then she said "Somewhere there, there's a machine who seems to be concealing his presence, waiting for an opportunity to strike his foes. He's concealing his presence so effectively that I doubt I would have noticed him had not for his abnormally strong killing intentions. Judging from his great skills at concealing himself, I would assume that he's an incredibly powerful machine". "Sure..." said Rai, as he also looked at the same direction where Mizu was looking. Then the red-haired female Shinigami looked at that direction too. "If I'm not mistaken, that should be ChaosPiedmon hiding there. If he's really here to satisfy his lust as he claims, shouldn't he just come out and finish off all these guys already?" she thought. "That's why we don't have time to guide the others, who I'm sure should know their way anyway. Instead of that, me, Fuu and Rai will go to that machine" said Mizu as she looked at Yaiba. "Hmm..." said Yaiba as he looked at his left, to the East, and he carefully felt the presence of the machine who Mizu was describing. "Yes, that is true. However, I'm quite concerned about the strength of this machine. As such, I'll have about fifty of you go with those three" he continued as he looked at the group of Shinigami wearing black masks. "Yes sir!" said all the black masked-Shinigami together. Then the red-haired female Shinigami looked at Yaiba and thought "This is bad! This Yaiba guy... I'm sure he's one of the Ten Holy Elites. It would be satisfying to take his life just now. However, his subordinates are about to spread out. If I approach him for an assassination after everyone's gone, it'll only make doing so much more difficult and risky than before, as it'll be far easier for him to notice me if it's only us two by ourselves. I would actually prefer to take my time and look for an opportunity to strike, but if I wait until after everyone leaves, the opprtunity might not come again. In that case, the best | |
