I don't know if anyone will reply to this (let alone see it), but if you're a true Rayman fan you will reply. The point is to talk about what exactly has made the Rayman series so bad, and why it has become more sever with every game.
I suppose the first problem was that Rayman was a great 2D platformer with beautiful animations/graphics and music. After going 3D the gameplay lost some of it's touch. I have also noticed that companies that make 2D games that are graphically gorgeous usually fail when turning the game 3D. Rayman 2 was still fun though.
Then there was a huge drop with Rayman 3. They made the gameplay linear and gave it a crap story. DON'T make it linear if the story sucks. They also made all the characters stupid and made the game too dopey, unlike Spyro which has become too serious.
Then there's the Rabbids... I suppose the fact Ubi thinks adults love the Rabbids and kids love Rayman shows how much they know about their customers. Is it any surprise the game is going down hill?

Ok, why would adults like the rabbids, r they turning into kids or something or does ubisoft think that the adults ( or teens ) that grew up with rayman would say " Nah, rayman is cr@p, he has no arms or legs but the rabbids r cool. I like cr@ppy games with rabbits that take steroids and red bull. If you get them angry they throw plungers at you" i mean, what is ubisoft thinking now. I hope they make a normal rayman game and hopefully not make another rabbids game. I wouldn't be surprised if they would though. Imagine if they make a game called Rayman Raving Rabbids: THE FOURTH RAVING OF THE RABBIDS. Right now, if they make a rayman game, they should call it Rayman 4: yes we have stopped it with the bunny bulls&^t. That would be awesome. I would buy it the first day it comes out. So yeah.... there should be petitions going to ubisoft which says: People that want a normal rayman game: 2 000 000 000, People that want another Rabbids game: 0 .....fail heheh. Bunnies that take steroids and red bull influence kids to throw plungers at their parents.. then take steroids afterwards. WHICH IS BAD. If you have read my comment this far..then thank you. Oops This was a thread about general badness, like Rayman 3. But yeah, I think some people have started petitions. The Rabbids were the biggest blow to Rayman's glory yet.
At least with 3 you could put it down as being lazy, but this game has no excuse. The original trailer that showed Rayman fighting Rabbids... thats what I thought it was when I bought the game.
I don't know if Rayman will recover. I have a fear they will try to reboot the series and ruin it like Crash and Spyro.

U kno, i just found out that Rayman Raving Rabbids was supposed to be a normal rayman game originally with all the fighting n stuff. So basically what happened was Michael Ancel (Director of Rayman Raving Rabbids) talked about rayman raving rabbids and he did all of the important work and his workers and him released a trailer where it showed rayman fighting the rabbids...basically everything in past rayman games except that it was more intense. But then Michael Ancel had to go and do other projects with other teams and left his team with all of the important things. Then his team decided to throw the platform style out of the window and go with minigames so his team is basically *bleep*. i dunno when michael ancel is coming back ( no 1 knows ) and i got so pissed of when i found out that their making ANOTHER DAMN RABBIDS GAME called Rabbids go home or something i dont really remember the title. So its michael ancel's team's fault. wat *bleep*. they dont give a cr@p about rayman.

Yeah but the new Rabbids game doesn't have Rayman in it. It's set in a world where people look like the Wii avatar things.
The game did look more intense, but in all honesty it still looked pretty stupid. In a way I'm kinda glad it became a party game instead of part of the official series, because it could have left a serious stain on Rayman's good name.
Think about it. Fighting an army of Rabbids? Changing clothes mid-battle? Not to mention how boring the scenery looked....
The point is - If it includes Rabbids, it's most likely going to suck ass. Honestly, they know people what to see a return of Mr Dark and his minions (or any new ones as long as they're as original, creative, and fun as the original bosses). Rayman needs to go back to worlds that are just completely abnormal like Picture City, Band Land, and Candy Chateau. Maybe some new ones.
I guess they're just afraid if they screw up, they'll ruin Mr Dark's reputation too. Wise choice I guess.

YEAAA! WHOO! I did some research and I found out that after this retrded Rabbids Go Home game, they're making a normal rayman game WHICH IS AWESOME!!!! But uhh... I hope its going to be for the pc too because, i dont have a wii and I dont want one anyway. So the rabbids better make the stack of cr@p for reaching the moon faster and let Rayman... pwn the shelves of stores once again. Now lets celebrate * holds up non-alcaholic wine (cuz im 13)* now here's a toast to rayman... and neoseeker forums for letting me discuss my opinions. P.S. I personally think that Rayman 3 was good because im not really into the magic and lollipop land stuff, thats why I dont have Rayman 1. But thats my opinion......which is right. lol.

Where did you hear about the new game?

Well... I dunno. I basically surfed youtube and the internet and found answers. And some forums. Well, I guess I could give Rayman 1 a chance but its not on sale anymore and I completely dont trust websites like Ebay and Amazon. If I were able to download the full version for free I would( it should be free considering it was released like 14 years ago). If you have a download link then uhh... please post it. Thanks.

I don't trust online shops either. Too risky. I don't know where you could download it, but I doubt it would be free. No big deal. Just thought if you knew where you could get a copy, why not try it.

YEAH!! RAYMAN SERIES IS SAVED. And Rofloler i agree that rayman 4 should be on the pc because it the only system that i have. But i agree with Jquesevonrip that rayman 3 sucks. It looks like the industrialised version of rayman 1.

Absolutely. They need to go back to basics and just do a sequel similar to the original: 2D, good music, creative levels. It's a recipe for success.

Well, remember when in rayman 3 theres this minigame where its like rayman in 2-d but with high res graphics. They should make a minigame like that in rayman 4 just to bring the memories back.
