Having troubles, laggs without reason

Hi,
I have a problem with battlefield 1942: I got the game 2 days ago, and when I installed it ( no problems with the installation itself ), it doesn t works. The problem is: the logo itself, when you run the game '' Eagames, challenge everything '' goes frame per frame, impossible to skip it, it takes over 10 minuts to pass, the sound is at the same speed as the images. I changed my settings, downloaded the newest patch, it didn t changed anything. My prosessor is an AMD athlon 2600xp+, my video card is MSI 5600 128mgb.
I guess I m not the only person in this world that has this kind of computer and that has installed bf1942, so I am asking those that know how to solve my problem: what do I have to do to play my bf1942 normaly.
