2D vs. 3D

I like 3D why?

1. Deadly Alliance and Deception are awesome while the other Mortal Kombat games are only decent.

2. Better graphics.

3. You have better control over the difficulty level. Remember how hard Mortal Kombat 3 was on the easiest mode? what's up with that?

2d was great because the characters were digitised and it was cool because of the extreme violence and cheesyness.who can fault liu kangs bicycle kick! that was halarious.plus all the neat unlockables and extras.it was direct competitor for sf2 and in my opinion topped it.although the transistion to 3d was probably not as well recieved by the fans it was the obvious choice.i have midway arcade treasures with mk2 and 3 and they are great.I also have mkdeception which is awesome.i have to say i cant fault 2d or 3d,i can fault some versions over others but overall they are both equally as good IMO.

Your saving thing just triggered off something, although not really related.

Longevity is increased in the new ones with modes like konquest, mini games and the whol krypt makes you play till you have enough koins to unlick all of the koffins.

I agree the characters were sorta surreal in the orignal games which was quality, and the first time you heard "Get over here was magical".

Oh man that was the best actually one thing i liked that they removed was the "test your might" breaking the ice and wood, which was never bettered on the 3d versions.as far as i know only DA has that feature and its not as good or funny,and MKD doesnt have it at all.so in that respect 2d was better.how about when u fight in the living forest and see jades or smokes head pop out from behind the trees, that was a cool touch.
