	Yup. Its a good transition between Halo 2 and 3. I wish Nylund jumped on Mass Effect's prequel instead of Karpyshyn

	No its not it sucks it goes off the Halo 2 story line big time. If Halo 2 came after the book Ghosts of Onyx I would under stand. And everyone likes master chief the story should be more focused on him.

	This book is good but i want it fouse on master cheif too.I think it should have been one section master cheif and then the next next section dr.haseley then kurt back to cheif and ect.

	this book is about the S3 progrm first mentioned in First Strike, i also focuses around the other spartns from first strike, fred, linda, will, and kelly. it takes place before and during halo but does not mention the MC at all ------------------- "If there is one thing the history of evolution has taught us it's that life will not be contained. 	you read the 5th book? it explains that the hornet and BR existed b4 the first halo. it pisses my off that u can't get them earlyer when Johnson does. Ok the book is about the first encounter with he covenant on the planet Harvest. He raises a miltia and fights the jackals, grunts, buggers, and brutes, but never any elites. It is wierd how u fight elites in the first halo but never meet brutes or buggers until the 2nd halo. it's a good book but has some really boringf parts o talking 9.5 because it is addicting
