Monte Cristo

Totally should read the book.
there's also movies of it, but I don't find them as good as reading the Novel.

Basically Edmond Dante, a sailor, was falsely accused as a spy for the revolutionist Napoleon, so he was trialed and locked up.
After he got locked up he met a old cell mate who told him about a fortune and an escape route out of the prison.
After, he escaped, and with the fortune he found, is set out to have revenge against those who betrayed and locked him up.

People who wronged him includes:
his fiance's cousin, who wants to marry Edmon's fiance himself.
the judge, who accepted a bribe to prosecute Edmond.
a sailor mate of Edmond who was jealous of Edmon's promotion, so he schemed up the whole thing.
and some other...

Any who, after Edmond got out, he hid his identity and used the wealth to make an alias calling himself the Count of Monte Cristo. He then use the wealth he inherited to get acquainted with those that wronged him, and used his cunning to get his sweet revenge.
